I'm tentatively scheduled to fly into SJO and will drive directly to Cocal (via rental car) for a 4 night stay, arriving Friday October 10 and flying home the afternoon of Tuesday October 14. My question is will Cocal be reasonably active this time of year on a Sunday and Monday evening? My other option would be to move up the trip by one day and arrive Thursday and return home Monday afternoon. Or maybe you might advise that even if Cocal is slow on a Sunday / Monday evening other bars in town (Beetle Bar?) are still plenty active and not to worry?

If it was me I would move it up a day. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights are off the chain, all year long. Right now Sunday and Monday nights are a little slow.

Margaya, there is more to do in and out of Jaco, than there is San Jose. Activities are endless. Most of my clients go on ATV tours, zip lining, white water rafting, paddle boarding, horseback riding, surfing, jet skiing, crocodile river tours, fishing or just relaxing under a waterfall. Since it is the green season, (rains about 2 pm everyday) you will want to get started early with your activities. I also recommend going fishing for 1/2 day instead of a full day. The other day we boated 16 Mahi Mahi's in a half day.

As far as lodging, close to the action, a lot of my guys are booking the Monaco Jaco. If you have 2-3 guys, it's the very best value in all of Jaco. Each luxury condominium has 3 separate bedrooms and is everything you expect in a condo. It also has a jacuzzi and is a stones throw away from the Monkey bar and all the action. About $50 p. P. Based on 3 people.

Anyone know if fly boarding is available in CR?

Travelling to Jaco Oct 20-23 as a single. Just wondering if there is generally any action at the Cocal then to make it worth staying there Mon-Wed or should I find another another place.

I had a couple massages from different girls in Jaco and they were all really good, but seemed very legit, meaning they didn't make any moves to my privates and even used towels / sheets to cover them up. They were all extremely cute though.

I just returned from CR and spent some nights in Cocal. I found it to be mostly hype and not worth time or money. The hotel itself is good, rooms are modern but that's about it. It is very hot and humid there. AC bull blast 17 could not even bring down room temp to 22 during my 3 days. There zero girls at Cocal around noon on all 3 days, may 6-10 around 4 PM may be around 15-20 on Wed-Thursday around 6 pm. Only around 10 PM things picked up and number went up to 50-60. Was told things were better in dry season but it was hopeless in July. Most girls were slightly better than at delray but I did not see even one 7/10. Save avg looking ticas as were at delray. There is NO other mongering option at jaco so nothing to do during the entire day. Picked up 4 girls in total, OK sex nothing awesome. But let me repeat that I did not see even one girl that I really wanted to see naked. All agreed to $60 happily.

Met two other mongers who too echoed same comments thay it was boring. Went back to San Jose after 3rd day.

By the way, I prefer FKK concept of being able to see women naked. Otherwise thanks to push up bras tight clits one ends up with horrible stretch marks and saggy boobs.

I agree with another poster that Pattaya blows all other destinations out of water.

I guess everyone's mileage varies. You went in July is that right? What days of the week was it? I tell my guys who come down for a week or more to spend Thursday, Friday and Saturday night in Jaco. All the best ladies from San Jose are there anyways. The other nights, stay in San Jose. Sunday it doesn't matter because it's slow in either city. San Jose has the M. P. For daytime. Jaco is a night time town. No mongering in the daytime. However, there is so much more to do in Jaco during the daytime. Fishing, ATV tours, white water rafting, surfing, zip lines and other stuff. There is really none of that type of tours in San Jose, however, it does have zip lines and white water rafting close by. I have never been to Pattaya, so I can not comment personally. A lot of my guys who come here tell me that it has really gone down hill in the last 10 years. I really don't know. What I do know is that you can be here in Costa Rica in just a few short hours and start mongering by mid afternoon. If you take the red eye from LAX or DEN, even sooner, arrives at about 5:30 am We are having a great time down here. I hope your next trip is more enjoyable.

Took a couple of good ole boys for their first maiden voyage to Costa Rica and to Jaco Beach area yesterday. I like it when newbies come down and have never experienced the mongering life style. To check into your condo at the Vista Mar, you have to go to the front desk at the Cocal and walk by the pool area. Man you should have seen their deer in the headlights look. There was about 20-25 ladies there at 2 pm, not bad for that time of the day. They called me at about 8 pm Last night and said there must be 150 there and it was like nothing else they have ever seen.

Stopped by the Bar (the old Beatle Bar) on my way out of town, to eat some lunch and chat with Jack for a few minute. He tells me business is great for this time of year. They are renovation the back area of the club to make a strip club called the Cavern. It should be open sometime in September. I really like Jaco this time of year. Not as hot as the dry season. Temp yesterday was 88. See you guys down here.

Pattaya reigns supreme on this planet for quality of mongering destination. Jaca, Sosua, Amsterdam, Prague, FKK's, Buenas Aries, and others are all excellent places to monger. (Okay, maybe not Amsterdam). IMHO, nothing even comes close to Pattaya. 80 beer bars, 60 go-go clubs, great weather, very good hotels but cheap hotel prices, 5,000+ hookers (yes, and that is not an exaggeration), awesome discotheques, and on and on. You won't believe it until you see it with your own eyes. Sure other places are different and each has their pro's and con's, but if you enjoy mongering then Pattaya is definitely #1 on the "bucket list". Anything else is a distant second place. If you have not been it is essential that you go.

BVB you are right about Pattaya, but I have been there, done that, finished it. 80 beer bars, I think that was kind Cheap yes, and probably top 3 destinations.

But Cocal is something different and a concept that is hard to beat (read my and ADObserver1 post).

I like to og to South America and find something simular as Cocal.

Strong lineup, and nice prices, friendly people all around.

But the thing is that you are in a fairly secure place, you have everything you need within 1 km. I find it nice because its such a small place, lot of good activities too.

No need for taxi, you are on the beach were everything is happening, no need for nothing.

Prices was normally $ for the regular and $$ for the night.

As I like to travel different countries and in the near future would try to contribute on the forum.
