Pancho Villa's is on the main road in Jaco right around the Mas y Menos supermarket....within a block or so- if memory serves.

It has a pretty nice restaurant on the first floor, and then on the second floor is the club. This club is mainly an after hours type of place that gets going probably after 11PM - Midnight....late hours.

Many girls, P4P gals and occasionally some non-pro's or tourist types too can be found there after the Beatle Bar, Monkey Bar, and other places have wound down for the night.

Another place that stays open very late is down the street...and it's called Nacho Daddy's. Many gals also go in there....at late hours....as I believe it is open to around 2-3AM.

I do not frequent either of these two places.....as for me....an oldtimer- I try to be in bed - hopefully with a nice Chica....by 10-11 PM.

These after hours places tend to be mainly for a younger crowd....the ones who have the stamina to 'party hardy' - all night long.

I must say that I concur with Bat Boy's report on Jaco.

Yea, there are certainly better beaches in Costa Rica, and possibly better places to monger, better restaurants elsewhere, nicer better hotels....but all in all Jaco has a lot going for it. It's sort of an all-in-one type of place that is pretty damn good for the overall beach experience.....kind of like a funky, south-of-the-border Daytona Beach type of place.

Jaco is easy to get to, and abounds in lots of things to do in the general area....like mongering, sport fishing, surfing, rafting, tree forays in the jungle, 4 wheeling, horseback riding, shopping, good eats, and just a good overall place to hang out and watch the young, pretty, women of Central America stroll by......

In my comparison of Jaco to Daytona....about the only things missing in Jaco are the races, the Harleys, and the bust-your-balls cops who are literally swarming all over South Florida.

This may be a contrarian report to most reports here, but I like Jaco beach. From many of the previous reports it sounded like it was a terrible beach with drug pushers, beggars, and thiefs. But my experience the last 3 days has been mostly positive. The beach isnt real beautiful, but its functional; the water is warm, nice sand and a comfortable place to hang out, there seems to be lots of surfers here every day.

As far as the scene in downtown Jaco goes, I've only had 1 guy ask me if I wanted to buy drugs. Its mostly a place with a lot of stores, restaurants, bars and nite clubs. I don't feel unsafe here at all. The local punks seem minor irritants to me compared to other places in Latin and South America.

Been staying at Clarita's hotel right on the beach. Kind of a funky place with a lively restaurant bar that seems to draw all sorts of different kinds of people. The hotel is kind of primitive (no phones in the rooms, we must pay in cash only), but it seems like a crash pad to me for people hanging out on the beach or Jaco itself.

Now to the mongering. I've only been to the Monkey bar and the Beatle bar. Both times we got there at around 9-9:30pm. The Monkey had litterly nobody in there, but the Beatle bar was really jumping both nites. There were at least 100 chicas there. The variety is unbelievable. Blonds, brunettes, red heads etc. Ticas, nicas, latinas, Panamaians, Columbianas, Dominicans etc. all these chicas are REAL sexy in short skimpy outfits, some with tits sticking out, with a lot of leg showing and sexy high heels.

These women are real aggressive and some are a real pain to get rid of. They will come right over and get in your face and really become a nuisance. They just won't leave until you get real nasty with them and tell them to butt out. They may also walk right up and grab your dick and stick their pussy in your crotch, its a trip.

Theres a real social pecking order here. The good-looking gals seem to know it and start off by asking for $100 and not budging from the price. The girls less good looking start at $80 and will go down to $50. Also a racial divide too. The whiter the girl, the higher the price, all the way down to the negras who will take much less dinero.

Anyway I ended up with a tica-latina older gal last nite who only asked for $50. She stayed for over an hour and didnt make a big deal about money. She was a willing sex partner and a nice personality. She gave me her phone, I may call her back tonite.

There seems to be other hot spots here in Jaco but I probably won't get around to them this time around. All in all I like the atmosphere here, its seems to be an easy-going kind of funky place to hang and do your thing. Ciao for now.

I stayed at the Copacabana which was right on the beach adjacent to the Beatle bar. I went in the off season (august) which was perfect. The girls were all asking around $100 which could be bartered.

If your thinking about Colombia I would suggest Cartagena, I have travelled alot in Colombia, and for the first trip Cartagena is the best.

Also stay in the tourist area, it is safe and LDV is always a good choice for chasing young hot colombians

Jaco is a total departure from San Jose. It’s a smallish, tranquil beach town that caters to a crowd of surfers, hippies, and other adrift characters. It’s tropical with beautiful ocean scenery, but boasts lousy, brown rocky beaches. It could easily be confused with any number of towns in and around the Caribbean basin given its look and feel. The vibe is pleasant save the small but notable element of delinquency.

There is not much to the place other than surfing, fishing, and some lame jungle tours (much better options all around can be had in Quepos/Manuel Antonio up the road a click). Judging from the number of times I was offered, you can also pass your time snorting coke or smoking pot. The hooker scene in Jaco is massive and omnipresent.

The nightlife consists of a several clubs that aren’t especially great, but not especially bad, either. Monkey Bar, Jungle etc. It’s lively at times, but the crowds get mighty thin at a relatively early hour. I was surprised by the sheer quantity of women “on duty” at Jaco’s most (in)famous nightspot - the Beatle Bar. (It’s named after the world’s most famous rock group I’d say given all the wall hangings paying tribute to John, Paul, George and Ringo.) Beatle Bar has to be the best place to go for mongering outside of San Jose and I would say it deserves much more attention than it gets as a mongering spot.

Beatle Bar caters to a younger, hipper crowd than San Jose’s Del Rey. It’s more laid back and generally has a good vibe. I went on a Wednesday and there were probably 60 pros and 40 guys. I went again on Friday and there were about 100 pros. Despite the sheer quantity, there were relatively few real stunners. The women weren’t ugly, just not really that hot. Given that a man generally only needs to find one for a good night, this was not a problem as there were perhaps half a dozen real cuties. Though prices seem like they should more flexible here than in San Jose, the standard quote again was $100 for an hour – for the good looking ones, I didn’t ask the second stringers. I really don’t know how that pricing point got started in Costa Rica but it seems a lot of girls live by it and would prefer to go home empty handed than accept a nickel less.

All in all, I think Jaco deserves to be mentioned up there with the top Colombian and Dominican mongering locations, though the relatively high cost and inferior service provided by the jaded pros one finds throughout Costa Rica can be a drag.

I just wanted to thank Tredmont Teddy for following up my post. He is Dead with the details. I was wrong with the ladies night being tues, it is Thursday at the backyard. Its is a very nice place and of coarse with all the chica's slamming down free drinks it makes it alot easier to negociate a price less than the norm.

He was also correct in saying it easy to find locals to party with as long you gringos are supporting the tab, and sometime you my pick up a GFE for as long as you like just partiing with them. Please be forewarned though, sometime it not easy to get rid of them once they attach themselves, for they will try to milk you dry in more ways than one, pun intended!

Look fwd to meeting a few people from here so we can grab a drink and perhaps find a wingman.

Have any of you guys come across this girl? She is a Nica and absolutely wonderful both in bed and personality. Just to follow up on Sponge Bobs Jaco report, Nacho Daddies is the third stop in the “Jaco Shuffle” for the working girls. Nacho’s gets happening at 3am.

I found the girls are a little less business like when they’re at Monkey Bar & Nacho Daddies. By then they had a few drinks in them and maybe even scored a trick with a little money in their pocket. At this point I offer $40-60.

One more tip. Its hot as hell in Jaco, and a lot of the waitresses and bartenders from all the hotels, restaurants & bars will head to Monkey Bar & Nachos after there shift gets off. The choice between going home to their hot apartment with no AC or going out partying with free spending gringos is a no brainier. This is good hunting for non & semi pro’s.

There’s also a place in the next town of Playa Hermosa called Backyard Bar. I believe Wednesday is ladies night and the place is hoping. This place is pretty cool because it’s right on the beach. Probably a $3 cab ride from Jaco and worth the trip. Ask a local for more details on this one.

I have lived in Costa Rica for going on 2 years and just thought I would share a little of what I have found out especially from the Jaco Area.

First I will start by saying Jaco is a small surf town with its own charm. It stays Crowded year round with surfers and Sport fisherman alike coming from Herradura a small town about 3 miles before you get to Jaco. The night life varies on what you are looking for but has something for everyone from Disco's, Bars, restaurants shopping and even Strip clubs. As far as safety in Jaco, its has problems like anywhere the biggest being petty theft so never leave anything unattended. Also just use a little common sense stay out of the gulch, its better to travel in pairs and be alert when walking around at night.

The Beatle Bar- Its the most popular monger hang out. It stays busy most of the week, Thursday, Friday and Saturday being the most crowded. Tica's, Nica's, Dominicans, Columbians and Panamanians travel in from all parts of the country on Thursday and stay thru Sunday. The Exception being Holidays where like most venues in Costa Rica it’s very slow for the most part. The Price most quote is cien ($100) for 1 hour, 90% will take considerably less. Depending on the time, the night, and what you’re looking for. I have taken women home for as low as $40 and paid as much as $80 for a Ten, and $75 for a todo noche (all night) I am not sure about the motel policies pertaining to tica charges as I have never taken one to a motel but I can tell you that there is a motel adjoining the Beatle bar that charges $20 for an hour or $40 for the entire night. It usually gets fairly crowded a little after 9 and stays that way until about midnight. With the exception of Tuesday night when its ladies night at one of the local bar where they have free drinks.

Monkey Bar- its a Disco with loud music and cheaper drinks than the monkey bar, The weekends are very crowded with surfers and kids on vacation partying. The girls roll in there between 11 and 12 and get more crowded as the night continues. I believe it closes at 4 am, The same prices apply to the chica’s its all a matter of taste and what your looking for.

Jungle sports Bar- along the same lines as monkey bar but not as popular.

Depufulo’s- is a strip club just outside of Jaco, I have only visited there one time and reminded me of the strip clubs in the states. Lap dances $10 and private dances $20. You can get anything you like for more money and I think they have rooms on site.

I visited many times, but not for 3 years. It was always very safe. Has it changed? I always stayed at Pochote Grande, on the North side.
