This forum has been alot help I have read many post that have help me in my travels. And now it is time for me to contribute. I have just returned from CR. I spent a day Jaco and 3 days in San Jose.

This was my second trip to CR. I had spent my first trip on the west coast. So I planned to hit Jaco first thing thusday night. Got into town meet with friends and went straight to the beetle bar. The sights where good but the sticker price shock didn't wear off so then we when to La Central. Again Good vision, Pickup tica she was about 6 for $50 for the rest of the night 2:30 on.

I recently returned from 3 weeks+ in Costa Rica.

My first stop after a few days in San Jose was Jaco. Jaco is the largest beach destination for mongering in Costa Rica and best place in town is the Beetle Bar. The bartenders are mostly women and mostly stunning, never mind the talent! Its a blast to go in and just drink and watch them work. They are also very nice and fun to flirt with.

Arrive there at about 10- 10:30, and the girls will start coming in. There are ten to fifteen or so regulars who are there night after night. Some of these range to 8's and can be very good. They all try to charge 100.00. (Currently about 38,000 colones) I think this is on a sliding scale related to your personal apearence and your ability to bargan in Spanish, but less than 70.00 I think would imply insult in most cases. I was giving them 35,000, about 90, and this was usualy no problem. Of course there are a few that will go to fifty but now were talking chubby thirtysomthings. Pay attention to the nationality because this will give you an indication of probable performance. Ticas are the best; they generaly are the most loving and sensual, although Nicaruaguans (Nicas) are a close second. Dominicans of course tend toward black but can be very nice also. In fact I had top class performances from both Dominicans and Nicas.

If you get a Columbian, it is likely to be all bussiness and money up front, which takes away your upper hand, and I would advise heavily against doing this. In fact I only did this on one occasion, and only talked money at all 2 or three times out of about 18 sessions on this trip. I just took them to the room, did it, and handed them the money as they left without a word. This is Ideal. I kicked one girl out and gave her five thousand to get rid of her because she wanted the money first, and wouldn't accept my terms. Avoid this though because they all talk, and this will be somewhat of a black mark, but be nice and pay well and its survivable. As I said there are some very nice regulars, but the real gems to be had will be the traveling semi-pros, many of these will be 18 to 21 and hot. I met my favorite on my second day at the beetle bar and had the experience of a lifetime. It was her second night there, and we split the Beetle Bar with her sidekick, also very cute and went to La Central, danced, hung out, and then I did them both with a lesbian show for very reasonable money.

Another realy hot Nica also took me to La Central, the major disco in Jaco, and grinded me for an hour at a table. This was cool, but she was 18 and looked it, and I'm pushing 40, and it looked like family night, and I got some realy nasty looks. Also she had friends there for whom I bought three white russians and nachos, which plus my beer added up to 20,000 colones (50.00) Ouch!. The beer is reasonable though.

Another thing about La Central, if somthing bad is going to happen to you, its probably going to be there, as an hour after I left that night a guy got shot dead in the bathroom, after some kind of fight outside. This is also a center for drug dealing.

Another place to find girls is Pancho Villa bar and resteraunt. This is where the locals go at 2 after the Beetle Bar closes. This is also a strip/ sex club upstairs, but you are going to pay as much as the Beetle Bar and more with only a fraction of the selection and the facilities to do it are kind of rough.

I also visited Tamarindo and there is a good scene there, although I went for ladies night at Bar Las Olas, and it was basicaly a medium sized group of non-pro to semi pro ticas all very hot going with the most attractive surfers they could find, and I ended up dry and frustrated, although there are possibilities in Tamarindo, and it was pretty fun anyway, and I went to a little no name private bar afterward and had a really good time.

I also stopped briefly in Coco Beach, its medium sized and looked like a good time, although I didn't stay and check it out.

As for me I had another night together with my lovely favorite, it was better than the first time, included a pool swim, and she agreed to give me a lift to San Jose, and possibly another night at her place, but she blew me off, and I was devastated, but I kind of think in some cases they promise somthing for the next day in hopes of building up thier fee, and I just gave her my usual 35,000. Whether this was a mistake, or she wasn't coming back anyway, I dont know, but I would not recommend feeding the greed; as 100 bucks is like two weeks pay for a tica, I think.

Tamarindo has lots of activity: nightlife, surfing, and fishing.

Yes, definitely lots of women looking for fun.

Yes, good surfing if the conditions are right (but crowded, due to being a known spot and a large local surf population). Hint--get up early to beat the crowd (might be hard if you are out late chasing skirts).

Yes, good fishing, but expensive if you go on a sportsboat.

Regarding the Caribbean coast--

There are pros, but they are 99% drug users and the corresponding headaches are not worth it. While the area is nice to travel to, bring talent from San Jose, or try to work it with regular locals and other tourists. Lots of horny German girls on that coast looking for black action, so if you are of that race, you will do well. In general, plenty of partying in Cahuita and Puerto Viejo, so just go to the local bars and discos and try to be suave. Helps if you can dance to reggae.

Real Thrill - I talked with a local who goes there for vacation. He says there isn't much action. Your best bet is to meet a woman in San Jose and tell her you have a proposition for her. Ask her her fee for the number fo days you are taking her and negotiate from there. I did this with two women (and 8 and a 9). Prices aren't cheap these days in San jose, so figure $80 -$100 for each day plus travel, dinks, food, etc...

My advice, try and pick up a chickie who is on vacation there or hit on a local gal (that's what I do). If your talk is smooth and you make an effort to dance and chat, the sky is the limit from my experience. If nothing else, some locals may be able to point you in the right direction.

I stayed in a real nice hotel, in Jaco in February, on the main hihway for less then $20 per night. This was the high season. Bus fare was around $5 each way. Cabs get there no faster than buses.

I went to jaco for several days,it is a little surfer community. It has a lot of small hotels with resonable rates. I stayed at the Posidan Hotel It is only about 25 yds from the beach. I paid 50 dollars a night. It has a bar called the Beatle Bar. There are a lot of Colombian girls there. I had 1 columbian and 1 girl from nicaragua. Both were excellent. There is a disco there La Central,i went at 11'oclock and it was not very crowed. They told me that it gets crowed very late. I walked every where and it is very safe. There are cabs if you want one. The resturants are very resonable.I had a very good chicken and rice dish for only 1700 colones. There are many small sodas with excellent food. a lot of the sodas have rooms for rent. Along the main highway fromJaco to manuel Antoinio you have the rain forrest on the left side and the ocean on the right. I booked Interbus form the Hotel Del Rey for 17 dollars each way. Most cab drivers wanted 80 dollars just to take you there. If any one has questions please contact me.
