I Does anyone who has been around the world know of any other countries / cities that serve similar experiences? Ideally a legitimate seeming spa in a fancy hotel with some extras. I can't say I've ran into these elsewhere in my travels and I'd be interested in figuring out where else other than Dubai I can find this.

This is more common than one would expect. Some of the places I remember are listed. These are all major global hotel chains and their luxury brands. The employer at that time was a major global name and used only the good hotels in the city. Jakarta, Casablanca, Hanoi, Hong Kong, Singapore, London, Oslo, anywhere is a ex Soviet country,. Prices vary but there is always a price which is the standard accepted in the city, rule of thumb is that it is 50 pct of what the going rate for 1 HR of full WG is in that city.

I took a visit to one of the volcano place's locations recently, the one in Al Barsha. It seems all of these places with mostly EE therapists have a straight forward payment pattern without room for negotiation, which has been shared before. It is definitely more expensive than some other Asian alternatives that I tried during this trip, and if you asked me if it was worth it I would say only if you have a niche itch you have to scratch. For my experience this is what I liked:

Premises: This is one of the biggest differentiators. The place felt like a good luxury spa, in a nice hotel. There was no questions about the hygiene at all, which is more than can be said about other places I've been. Being able to see them pull fresh towels from a sealed container definitely made the experience feel more luxurious.

Massage: My massage was done very well. I was not pressured time wise at all and had the chance to enjoy a good relaxing session.

Conversation: This is definitely a roulette based on the therapist. I was fairly lucky and had a great connection with mine.

Looks: Photo did a pretty good job matching the picture, but this can also be considered lucky based on therapist. I was able to pick someone who is exactly the kind of thing I like face wise and body wise.

The extras were also really good and done with enthusiasm. Note that the service here may not include things others are looking for, it is limited to milder things. I do not mind as this is exactly what I like, but for many this would be a deal breaker.

All being said, I would return to these kinds of establishments in Dubai since it's the kind of experience I enjoy, although I would have to do it less often to stretch the money LOL. Anyway. I have been looking for a long time for a REAL massage salon. And boy is it hard to find in Dubai as 99% are just these fake massage salon.

And I'm happy to report I have found one. It's called Yin (and the usual opposite) and its in JBR. Location on Google Maps is correct but be aware you need to go up first to the plaza.

The place is fully professional. No lineup to choose from with "masseuses" with heavy makeup. I just said I wanted a deep tissue massage from someone who knows what the hell they're doing. 1 h: 230 + 30 for oil.

I was sent to one room. Girl told me to put the blue pants ON TOP of my underwear. Masseuse came later, I never even looked at her but she was really good, applying pressure where my body hurt most. Her name is "Maddy" according to the reception.
