As long as you are not staying at the intercontinental or Sheraton you will not have to worry about guest fees. Sometimes at the Sheraton you can get away without paying the fee but, more than likely they will catch you. Again every other hotel in the country will not give you any problems.

I suggest you try out the clubs. Emporium. Kairos, Insomnia, Fuego etc. Much better than the casas / MP's.

OK, headed out Saturday to Guate, but will be in San Salvador by Wednesday night. Starting to research the places you mentioned.

I just left San Salvador yesterday. I was there for 3 nights. I was there last year also. So I know what to compare this trip to.

I planned on renting a car and during the day go see a volcano, and on another day drive to the ocean which isn't far. But when I showed up Hertz said they were sorry that they didn't have any cars, even though I reserved one the day before through their website. Only one car rental agency had cars and they wanted about 2. 5 times more money, so I decided to forget about renting a car.

My Airbnb was kind of a disaster also, it had an usual address with letters, not numbers. It took me and my driver a long time to find the place, and the Airbnb guy finally drove by us and found us a couple blocks away.

The first night I was tired and only went to eat and came back to the house. The house was separated in to two houses. And if I seen the moma, I had to be nice and talk to her for 15-30 minutes each time she saw me. I didn't understand her very well though. I just wasn't understanding the El Salvadorians very well.

The second night I went to Kiss Fresh. Kiss fresh can be found on Google Maps. It was a Friday night. The guy charged me $5 to enter but gave me a free beer. I did not enjoy this time as much as last year. The server kept trying to get me to buy a bottle of liquor. I kept saying no, many times. He would keep coming back wanting me to buy a bottle of liquor, or a bucket of 6 beers. I was just by myself, I don't need to buy that much. He then asks me if I wanted to meet ladies. DUH!

He asked me what type of ladies do I like, then I pointed to a girl that was busy with some other guy, and said similar to her is OK. He comes back later and he decided he was going to steal her from the other guy. The the guy just bought her a beer. He asked me to go to another part of the club, and I knew what he was going to do. They were going to cheat the other guy (he just bought her a drink). The girl spoke good English, and she said the other guy wants to go with her for 30 minutes, so I need to go with her for more time. I said 1 hour is OK. Then she insisted I buy her a half a bottle of liquor to take to the room. Now I was thinking, what the fuck is this shit? She said I need to outspend the other guy. I told her no thanks, and the server kept trying to get me to spend more money. Now honestly most of the other customers had buckets of beers or bottle of liquor. I didn't need all that, and I don't want to drink half a bottle of liquor and then have a limp dick.

I was getting pissed at my server. Last year I had a great server. I should have not spoken a word of Spanish, and maybe they would have gave me an English speaking server like last year. This is the wrong place to argue with someone working there though. There is a lot of security in there now. There were at least 6-8 guys in security guard uniforms, and some plain clothes security in there. I stood by the cashier cage once and two security guys at the cashier cage gave me a very dirty look. I was still mad at the server and told him I have been here before and I didn't have any problems, please don't give me any problems. I wanted to talk to someone to get me a new server. He then stopped playing as many games with me. He asked me if I wanted to see more girls, I said yes. He asked if I wanted to see girls one at a time or see them all. I asked to see them all. They announce to the girls to come over and they come to you. I was shown about 9 women. None of them have the brains to give a nice sweet smile. I just chose a young good looking one.

Now the server guy starts to try to get me to buy bottles of liquor again, or 6 beers. He tried to get the girl to ask for expensive stuff. I could see he was trying to get me to spend a lot of money. She asked for a simple drink, but he said she wants 3 beers. It is $20 USD. Now I was pissed again. I asked him to show me that on the menu. He couldn't find anything that is $20. He was trying to straight up rip me off and pocket money. We settled at I am going to buy her a drink and it cost $10 USD. Then he was trying to get me to buy 3 beers for myself. This was just pissing me off. Last year the first girl shown to me tried to get me to buy half a bottle of liquor, but after I denied her things went well. This year it was the server trying to rip me off. He obviously gets a commission, and is also going to pocket money. After all of this hassle it finally gets down to I want her for an hour and I paid the $42 for that.

She is only 19 and it was just her 3rd day working, so I knew she was not going to be a good performer, but she was a good looking young lady. I seen many good looking young ladies earlier in the day at the mall, so now is my chance to fuck one of them. She was willing to kiss a lot, and gave CBJ for just a little while, and didn't really want to get on top, and wanted to change positions often. She is a little odd though, she is only 19 but she is one of those girls that want you to hurt her and give her some pain. Kiss Fresh and Lips use some pretty high pressure sales tactics. However, it is unusual they were trying to rip you off. If you asked for a manager or threatened to leave they would have let you be and stopped the shenanigans. If you go back stay at a Hotel, Most are very reasonably priced. Also, try some of the other clubs. They are as safe as Kiss Fresh, better quality girls just not as pushy.

Roberto is a good guide / driver but his car and his health are not so good right now. During my time there in October I met another driver that I liked. The lounge Kiss Fresh called a taxi for me and this guy showed up in a regular car. His name is Arnoldo and his car is nice and he drove well and was personable. I asked him what his rate was per hour and he said $10, I repeated that offer and he said $10 per hour. So I thought I would get his number, if you want it pm me.

I did not do a whole lot of mongering, just chilling out w / a few trips to the beach and Lips and Kiss Fresh. Those were well worth my time. I took 2 ladies on separate occasions from KF on day trips for $100 per day. The strip club was a lot of fun and there were some hotties, this was on the weekend, I sat right up against the stage.

I agree with everything you said. However, it seems like the poster was on a business trip or a lay over for a business trip because he asked for hotel bill to be separated. One with the room charge and the other with the chica fee on it. My guess is his company paid for the hotel and needed to submit the bill for reimbursement. That is usually the only reason people stay at the Sheraton.

This city in general is cool and a bustling city, at night a little dicey but I felt fine in a car or restaurant at night.

As I drove around at night the streets and sidewalks looked safe but I realize that could change in an instant.

During my week I met a El Salvadoran guy in the spa steam room at La Alameda Hotel. He spent his life working in the USA and retired in his hometown San Salvador. So we talked in English and he said everything is fine but he doesn't go out at night.

He said it in a very meaningful way. When I was w / my guide he would mention the police do not work the streets at night. That was backed up by the fact I never saw any police cars or police during the nights. At night many motorist would treat red lights like stop signs, just briefly stop.

And run the light. No left turn signs everywhere and all ignored.

Despite that stuff I always felt safe and rolled the way the locals rolled.

In ES there are a lot of nice mom and pop hotels w / lush surroundings / pool for a 1/2 of what you paid at the Sheraton Presidente, much more charm and warmth. The Novo Apart Hotel is one of them and they speak English there, too bad you got burned on hotel and hooker.

At least you got a little taste (very little) of the city. The cost of your chica (sight unseen) is also abnormally high but again, if that floats your boat good for you. I would stay at home in sex prison and pay less for decent pussy. USA prices are comparable to what you paid in poor old San Salvador.

It was a short trip, I didn't choose the hotel, but it was nice. Given the limited time and not wanting to venture out at night, my options were a bit limited.

I do appreciate the info, when I get the chance to stay longer, I'll keep it in mind. Next trip w / overnight is Panama.
