The Mayan Ruins in El Sal and Honduras are very small and unimpressive compared to the ruins in Guate and the Mayan Riviera in Mexico. However if you have never been to Mexico or Guate, than you won't know the difference.

Been watching videos of the major promoted ruins in El Salvador and agree that they ain't much. But Copan up in Honduras was interesting enough for me and one friend who has been there said it's worth visiting, especially if it's only 4 hours from San Salvador. If I do it, it will be a very long day from about 5:30 am to returning at around 6 pm. I might not be in any shape for girls that night.

So that would leave me probably two nights and 1. 5 days for everything else. Fortunately I think I would be happy enough with just one girl session per day not including the Copan day. So with this limit in time, I think I want to stick with the proven standards of Kiss Fresh for either both of my available days or Kiss Fresh one day and Zou Spa or Kairos the other.

I don't think I'll bother with any all nighters especially with early morning with Copan as well as my departing flight. As for pupusas, since it's like a national dish, I'm assuming that it would be readily available pretty well anywhere close to where I stay.

If Kiss Fresh ends up to be the only place I visit for girls, or maybe even Zou Spa or Kairos on top of that, would it make sense for me to stay in a hotel as close as possible to Kiss Fresh itself? I'm already deciding that I probably won't be interested in Lips as I'm just not a drinking and watching strippers type of guy. What would be recommendations if my only action would be at Kiss Fresh?

This joint is a very non-descript house in an apparent residencial area. A guard was hanging around outside, collected $10 entry fee, good for one beer inside. A group of women in lingerie appeared after a few minutes and I had to make a selection.

There were about 6 women, somewhere between 4 and 7, tops. Almost all had frowns or the most disinterested looks on their faces. I picked one who seemed to have the most life among the group, though she was in the lesser half of the group. She was indeed friendly and she and I had a few beers on the crummy couch. Other groups of guys appeared, some seemed to take gals, other just waited around and drank. Other better looking women appeared while I was chatting with my selected friend.

In fact, my friend claimed she'd go down on the best looking woman in the joint, a fit but thick blonde gal. Unfortunately, I didn't have the cash for that action at that time, I wasn't keeping track of what I spent on the overpriced cans of whatever salvadoran swill. But I did have enough for two in a row.

I went back to the room with friend #1, rooms were dumps, but seemingly clean. I got the deed done with #1, she sent in #2. The thick blonde was awesome. I can't remember what I paid, I'm sure it was more than I should have. There are better deals to be made around San Salvador, but I can't complain about my time there.

I just got my flights booked for April as I'll be spending three nights in San Salvador right after spending a week in the Bay Islands, Honduras. So I've got some time yet to research more and prepare. At least I'll be spending a Thursday, Friday and Saturday in San Salvador and flying out on the Sunday so I should not be affected by any Sunday casa closing.

One thing that I just learned is that the Copan Mayan ruins in Honduras is only about 4 hours away and therefore a lot closer than from the Bay Islands. Have any of you done a tour to Copan from San Salvador before? I know that there are some tour operators that offer this either as a very long day trip or an overnight stay in Copan (don't know if there's any action in Copan).

Some other things to do during the day in El Sal, are the beach, the markets, MiraMundo, and hiking a volcano. However my favorite is the river rafting trip in apuzunga. You will be there in April though which is the end of the dry season and the slowest and lowest time of the year for the rapids. They may not even do the trip in April as there may not be enough water flow and too rocky. You can check with them in March however as it really is a lot of fun.

Also, I know you want to go for Pupusas. Take a cab (with a lady friend if possible) up to LOS planes renderos one night. The view and food are spectacular.

That's awesome. My potential trip is not until April but I will seriously consider this. Does Robert also drive to tourist spots? I would like to see the Mayan ruins during the daytime as well if I go there.

My times w / Robert in ES are chronicled below.

He knows all the tourist spots, he mainly deals w / conventional tourists. I think he's an expert on all of Central America.

The only short coming Robert has is his car. When I go to ES I rent a car at the airport, $40 per day approx. Then when Robert and I go for a day trip I drive and he is wingman.

Going to the casas at night we use his car because I am drinking.

So since I last saw him he could have found a more reliable car, I don't know.

The guy knows everybody and he has good English. He is very trust worthy and will look out for you.

And most importantly show you the ropes.

When you do go out you will need to be picked up and dropped off so hiring him for 3 hours for $30 isn't a bad idea. You could get yourself to Lips and arrange to have Robert pick you up from there. PM me for his number.

The already mentioned are worthy, Sol and La Oficina. Both of these had 10 chicas a few months ago and very doable ones.

My last trip I did not go there. The thing about Lips is the quality on show. I have seen some incredible women in that place. The kind you never see in daily life, and they are NUDE!

1) Hotels.

I'm looking for a hotel where I can bring the chica back if needed. I'm hoping not to spend more than 30 $-40 $. I don't need much, just wifi and chica friendly. Not big on hotels. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions. Do normal hotels in San Salvador let chicas in? Going to be tough finding

2) Casas.

I read there are two other casas. Sol and La Oficiana. Do people know their addresses? If I ask taxi driver these will he know where to go? Is Sol the same as Special Touch??

3) All night rate.

Does anyone know the all night rate? I'm hoping to bring a chica back from lips for an all night. Not sure how much to negotiate.

If cheap is the most important try Villa Florencia. Its clean, safe and well run but, not in a real convenient location or around any attractions. Pretty much no frills...There are two. Book the one in Central its cheaper than the one in Zona Rosa. You will pay about $25-$30 a night. Every Hotel in SS is girl friendly except Intercontinental Real, which will charge you a $50 guest fee.

Any Taxi driver will know where La Oficina is. Its a few miles at most from Lips. I am not sure if Taxi drivers will know where Sol is but just google the address.

I suppose you can make a deal with a Kiss Fresh chica for after they close. (they close around 9 pm), management won't appreciate it much but it can be done.

You will not be able to pull any girls out of lips. Again, you might be able to make a deal for after they close at 3 or 4 am but, it will cost you between $100-$300 depending on quality and mood of the girl. You will have to use your negotiating skills and decent spanish. I would not recommend Kiss Fresh or Lips for take out. They are not set up for that. You can scroll through some of the old posts myself and others have made and find out better places to pull chicas from.

Socker, great to read about your El Salvador trips. The only time I have been to San Salvador is when the Avianca flight connects on the way to Medellin.

That said, I want to try it although, El Salvador is #2 on the murder rate list for young men, right behind Honduras. My business partner was down two years ago and could not shake the uneasiness from perceived danger.

A Salvadoran friend tells me the same, he would like to retire there as it is so beautiful, but it is too dangerous still.

Getting bored with the Costa Rica, Colombia Carribean Islands thing and need to venture out. Everyone tells me Nicaragua is not much fun.

Hoping to glean more info and make a trip.

In general San Salvador is a blue collar town. There aren't too many gringos down there so depending on how you dress and how white you are will determine whether you draw action to yourself. That's the same in Colombia too but there's a lot more prosperity in Colombia. I am a street type of guy and in no way tough or battle ready. I want to do my thing and be a positive part of wherever I am. The ES murder rate is high because of the gangs, they do whatever they want apparently.

In my travels w / a guide I never felt uneasy but I was warned more than once to not be so friendly as to talk to a stranger. If you feel comfortable in San Jose Costa Rica then you should be able to enjoy SS and the beaches etc. The casas are great w / very nice sexy women and the strip club also has really fantastic talent, it's called Lips. So a 4 day excursion to El Salvador would be really easy if coming from the west coast. For hotels Novo Apart is very safe and in a decent neighborhood, close to malls and casas like Fresh Kiss, Sol, La Oficina etc. Everything is about a $5 cab ride away.

The beach is 30 minutes to the west over a big mountain and a great way to spend some time.

I hear Nicaragua is pretty good so that is on my "to do list".

I am sure most mongers would have no problem exploring San Salvador during the day and in taxi at night.
