Sunday is a terrible day in Guate, and I struck out with the chicas I had lined up for dates.

One should know that it is impolite and rude here to ever turn down an invitation, so it is considered more appropriate to say "yes" even with no intention of showing up.

I was confused at first when told that in Guatemala "yes" means "no," but I came to learn it is true.

So this particular Sunday I was reduced to trolling for streetwalkers, and found a dearth of them also.

While out on my rounds I was surprised to see that Baron Rojo was lit up, and stopped in. It is right around the corner from Le Club.

Now I have put this place on the list of clubs that are not worth bothering about, as the the number of chicas was always low (3-4) and the talent level was always lower.

On this Sunday night there were about eight chicas, and surprisingly there was one who was actually cute enough to do. But she was attached to the lap of a local and seemed more interested in sucking down his drinks than sucking anyone's cock.

I asked the waiter for the going rate, and he replied that is was Q 500 for 30 minutes. I told him that I thought that was very high, but I am willing to pay that for a quality chica.

So I instructed him that if he had hidden Shakira in the back, to bring her out for me to fuck and we could do some business.

It took him a moment, but then he laughed his ass off. Every time he walked by he whispered "Shakira" to me.

I love an good massage--the straight, legitimate kind--and here are a few places where you can get good ones. I know that most "massage parlors" barely go through the motions, but IMHO there's nothing quite like a great massage before or after a visit to a casa, or whatever.

There is a kind of salon called Shirdi, Centro de Estetica Corporal in Centro Comercial Z. 4, Planta Alta, Local 216. The staff do a great 90 minute program of which about half is massage by a two-person team, Crecia and Betha. Crecia was raised in India, and has a somewhat rapid-fire technique, and, while different, is still a great massage. The last half hour or so is snoozing covered by a heated towel and blanket in the dim massage room. Finally they wake you up, and use hot water on a rag to wipe off your arms, legs, and chest (all is done with shorts on) and finally you sit on the table sipping tea while they dress you! I don't think there is the slightest chance of anything beyond straight massage. Cost is Q150 for the whole 90 minutes.

Another outstanding massage is available at 3rd-floor Spa at the hotel C***********. You don't need to be a guest to go there, just walk in and find your way. If you can, call first and book a massage. Once you get there and are locked in the massage room, strip and lie down naked on your back with your head at the slotted end of the massage table. You'll get a great massage from toes to shoulders, then a flip. Again a complete massage from toes to shoulder. Then another flip (back to face up) and more from legs to face and head (the head and face massage is also very good).

Finally, if you've hit it off with the masajista and made some humorous references to your erect Johnson, the massage lady (whom I think of as "Snow White," a code name immediately obvious from her real name) may be willing to give you an excellent massage where it counts. She's not my taste for anything more than the basics, but she has a sweet face and is very pleasant. The price on the massage is an utter steal: Q100 for a measured 60 minutes. Of course, a decent tip should go without saying.

Since I'm restricted to daylight mongering in what they call "incall" situations, I decided to try one of the massage places advertised in http://www.prensalibra.com (find ClassiWeb and do a search for "masaje" and another for "masajes").

For no particular reason I picked the one on 8 ave 1-26 in Zona 1. It is a very nice gated place with no sign of commercial significance. You ring the bell and a uniformed security guard opens it and ushers you to the main building.

When I was there, a very nice (but chunky!) mama-san named Iris was on duty. We had a nice chat in my baby Spanish about which girls were most friendly, cost, etc. I opted for the 1:15 "completo" deal for Q250 and kicked another Q55 for a couple of beers. The lowest price option was Q150. I think the chica beer was Q35 and mine was Q20.

Iris brought in a lineup of six girls and all but one were definitely doable, and three looked great. I finally went with the shortest with perkiest boobs. She also had cute curly hair, and a kind of impish face.

We went upstairs equipped with soap and towels to a nice room with an adjoining bath. There was even hot water--the kind that trickles through a showerhead heater--and we showered, got all soapy, and generally eased into a very nice time.

She knew only two words of English--"Thank you"--but I'm getting the hang of communicating in these situations. I was particularly pleased to find a place with a good room/bath combo available. There was no time pressure. I think a monger with more stamina could have stretched it to 90 minutes without the slightest trouble.

Afterwards Iris called a cab and I read the paper until it came. Definitely the classiest (classier?) of the two casas of which I now have personal knowledge.

I was there last week and found the opposite to be true. However, you cannot wait in your room for the girl. you must meet her out front and head directly for the elevators. i had a long conversation with the hotel security director at the Holiday inn. He stated that any unescorted lady would be detained. if you walk in with one, and she is appropriatly dressed, we will not approach. The other thing is age. I am 44 going on 80, so i rarely get stopped anywhere. If you are younger, or appear younger, the guards are "celoso".
