Quick trip report:

Went down a couple of weeks ago. Only had time for an afternoon trip to Lady VIP.

6 girls available (though I think I saw a 7th who had just finished with a customer, and she was the best looking). Ranged from 4 to 7 in looks. I took what I thought was the best looking. Estrella - and went up to a room. She was nice enough to chat with, and didn't seem to mind kissing, but no FK, let alone DFK. She did do a nice job with the CBJ, but when it came to sex she was about the same as fucking a wet paper bag. I guess I shouldn't be surprised due to her profession, but it was not like anything I'd ever been with before. She sucked, and didn't care that she sucked.

Ummm. United has three or four non stop flights to GUA on most days. The price was slightly higher on Skyscanner, when I searched it, and it takes 3 hours.

Guatemala 11.1-11.8. 17.

TRANSPORTATION:

Drove to Houston for an AeroMexico flight from H-town to Mex. City to Guat City. The flight was $320 or so, about $5-600 cheaper than UA out of My home town regional airport. The tipping point for me is about $300 meaning if I can get a flight for more than $300 cheaper, I will drive to IAH or MSY. Flight there and back was fairly uneventful. One thing I don't understand is that in Mexico City, you are forced to clear customs / immigration then re-enter their screening (TSA equivalent) coming & going. I have no clue why? If MexCity is not my final destination, why do I need to clear customs? Anyway, just more lines to wait in. Thankfully my connections were not tight so I had plenty of time. Casa Vieja Lodge (CVL) shuttle guy waiting to pick me up & I made it to the lodge in Puerto San Jose, on the Pacific coast about 9:30 pm Wed 11.1.

LODGING: The rooms at the Casa Vieja Lodge in Pto. San Jose were 5 star minimum. Plenty of room, hot water was sketchy at times, wi-fi was perfect, a / see more than cold, daily laundry & maid service, 6 am cup of coffee brought to the room, . All-star service all the way around.

In Guat City, I rented an AirBnB from Herbert in Zona 9. Very modern apartment complex, 3 security gates / doors to get thru, 24 HR security inside & out. No problem with guests. IDs were held at the front desk. Herbert was a very nice host & knew the game & was ok with the short term GF bit. Uber is very easy in the city.

FOOD: Again, 5 star meals for dinner at the CVL. We had Lomito (tenderloin I think) that was over the top one night, Huge sauted shrimp one night, Mahi-mahi one night with a salad, all the sides & a desert. First class meals & you never went to sleep hungry. Open bar for beer & bar brand hard stuff. All inclusive. Breakfast a-la-carte every morning, & hot lunch prepared on the boat each day. Hamburgers or chicken sandwich prepared on a plug in hot skillet by one of the deck hands.

In Guat City, I cooked breakfast every morning in the apt. For Lunch / early dinner I went to a steak house called Rincon Del Steak on Av 5 ta in Zona 9. Very good service, steak was above average but not the best I've ever had, appetizers were more than sufficient. The 2nd day I went to another steakhouse right around the corner from Rincon del Steak, called Donde Joselito.

Again steak was very good, probably a little better than Rincon & again, the appetizers were more than sufficient. Couldn't finish all of it so got a to go box & had steak with my eggs the last morning.

THE CITIES:

Puerto San Jose was quite run down, obviously a Port town, big coal redistribution plant next to the marina. Very dirty & very poor. The CVL had armed guards that would open a huge gate to let the shuttle van in or out then close the gate behind us. I went outside the compound 2 afternoons after fishing & went to a little hole in the wall side of the road cantina and had a beer with the locals. We were warned to not leave the compound but I didn't like the landlocked feeling so I busted out just for one beer with the locals. Very dirty, very dusty.

Guatemala City was quite a bit more modern than PSJ but I did not feel safe there. Every ATM, bank, grocery store, shop, tienda, delivery truck, apt complex had armed guards with a pump action shotgun & several shells on their belts. Not a very cozy comfortable feeling. I was ok walking around Zona 9 during the day but did not venture out at night, not even in a cab. I just got a bad feeling about it so I stayed put at night.

FISHING: Finally a trip that I pay someone to put me on the fish and they do. Thu-Day 1 of fishing, I landed 4 Pez Vela (sailfish) & the other 2 guys landed 3 each. Day 2 Fri, I landed 8 of the 25 sailfish our boat landed, Sat I landed another 8 of the 24 the boat landed & a YFT to boot. Total for the boat, 59 sailfish landed with 2 YFT. I had brought a Yeti soft pak to carry some fish home so I had the lodge freeze & vacuum pak the tuna. I was worried that someone would confiscate the tuna along the way, but it made it back with me. Customs in Houston asked what I was declaring & I told him, "Sport caught fish for personal Consumption" & he was fine with that answer. In Guat City there was a big hul-a-baloo and 2 -3 supervisors had to come look at it but they eventually let me thru. In Mexico City, they just looked at it asked a couple of questions and let it thru. I had heard some tales of fish being confiscated in MexCity, but I made it thru ok.

CHICAS: Sun pm, pulled a little 90 lb spinner, Yakelin from ymas.com, which I can no longer access here in the states. I think that ymas.com is the latino version of backpage.com as the format is the exact same & had the same posters. I was able to access ymas after backpage was shutdown here in the states but not anymore. Anyway, her driver delivered her to my apt & I had to pay him Q600/$82 USD as she got out of his car. Great attitude and an even better performance. Just what I needed after 3 long days of fishing and drinking beer. I asked her if she would come back on her own without going thru her 'friend' and she said sure. She told me he got half of the Q600 & she got the other 300. She was thrilled to get the entire Q600 & well worth it again when she came back Monday night. Great service including BBBJ.

Mon 10 am Had Uber bring me to LadysVIP. Only 4 in the line up. Chose another little spinner, Daniela. Very cute, petite with classic Mayan features. Dark skinned, dyed red hair & very short. Great performance in the casa which is in Zona 9 also. Got her number & set up an appt at my apt for Tue pm. Short Uber ride from the Apt.

Mon. Noonish, found La Barberia Spa for Men. Again off of ymas.com. This place was about 2 blocks from the apt. Went in about 1 pm & there were 4 to chose from. Picked another peliroja, Rosemary. Diamond in the rough, face 9, body 10+, all natural. Gave a very good massage for Q200 & of course massaged all the right places & had me hooked for another Q600 for full service. Wow! Well worth it. Practically insatiable. 5 star chica of the trip. What a body! Incredible.

Tue am Andreas Spa in Zona 10. Weak lineup but most are at 10 am Choose Cindy who is on their website and looked exactly like she did in the website pics. Nice bolt on breast implants (finally some silicone) , a bit thick but nice none the less. Kinda shy, overall fairly weak performance, but sufficient.

Tue early afternoon. Back to La Barberia & another session with Rosemary, Q200 to the house, Q600 to her & yes she was worth it. ! This time her hair was black. Amazing how they always seem to have enough cash for the salon. Another fantastic performance.

Tue pm, Daniela from LadysVIP at my apt. Very good, worth the Q590 I gave her + a late night Uber back to her house in VillaNueva.

Take home notes on why I probably will never go back to Guatemala again:

-1) I landed Sailfish #rs 29 thru 48 so I really have no desire to catch any more.

-2) I don't care for the 2 hour ride out to the place where we fish then 2 hours back, 4 of the 10 hours were spent running in and out.

-3) I don't like being landlocked at the Lodge and not being able to go outside the compound.

-4) I didn't feel particularly safe in the City which limited my mongering to early am And dates set up in my apt. It was ok, just not Ideal.

I'm glad I went, but probably will never return to Guatemala. If you are thinking about Guatemala as a mongering destination, go elsewhere. If you have to be there for business or fishing, then yes, it's an OK place to monger.
