Thought I would post this shot just for the sake of nostalgia.
Hey guys ... this one was taken in the world famous "La Linea" district of Guatemala City. Gives a whole new meaning to the saying ... "I've been working on the railroad!"

I had a car and drove there without any problem. Without one, definitely take a taxi.

The locals will warn you not to go into Zona 2, and probably not to go into Zona 1, either.

Certainly, shit can and does happen. But it rarely does, and it never happened to me while I lived in Guatemala for a year. Except for a couple times when the policia shook me down for a bribe by threatening to send me to "Yale."

And even they were extremely polite as they extorted me.

I have found that all around the world the locals will forever remember a murder that happened somewhere eight or ten years ago and vow never to go to that particular neighborhood ever again. In the meantime millions of people have come and gone on a daily basis without incident, including yours truly.

So you should take the warnings with a heavy grain of salt. I fully expect that you will be fine here, and that you will have a great time!

Thanks for the excellent detailed directions and report! I'm going to Guate 6-9 of October. One little question if I may. Is this place in a semi ok neighborhood? I've traveled to Guatemala once before however I'm not familiar with this area. Once again thanks for your informative report.

I learned of a place in Zona 2 and decided to go exploring.

Take 6A Avenida, the main road through Zona 9, and pass through Zonas 4 and 1 into Zona 2. After you reach Zona 2 you will soon come to a major thoroughfare which is Calle Marti (it would be 5 Calle if it had a number).

Turn right and go four blocks to 10 Avenida. Parking is on the side street, where there are assistants to direct you, and even extend an umbrella when it rains. Walk to the club which is facing Calle Marti and is only identified by the large numerals in front, 10-54.

It is a bar, located in an surprisingly large house with several rooms. There is no entry fee, and they didn't even bother patting me down. Everyone was very friendly and the help was quite attentive, without becoming pushy.

Beer costs only 20 Q, and on this Saturday night I actually got twofers for that price. The chica I was with told me that was unusual.

She said they hardly ever see a gringo in there. Once in a while a rare Japanese or Korean, but usually just Guatelmaltecos.

This is exactly the kind of local club I have been hoping to find. I am sure that there must be many more like it.

Out of about 20 chicas, I saw one tall, slender stunner. There were 3-4 more I would have had no problem doing, and it went on down from there. A fairly typical assortment.

Many couples (very recently formed, I should note) were dancing to a mix of American and Latin music with some occasional reggaeton.

I got the stunner's attention, and found that "Lucky" was very friendly and sweet. Servicio costs only 220 Q for 1/2 hour, the cheapest I have found in any club here.

She wanted to do CBJ, but agreed to BBBJ for a few minutes. I was pleased that DFK was included. We did three other positions, starting with cowgirl, then doggie, and finishing with me on top.

Lucky was muy caliente!

Afterwards I bought her a drink (chica drinks 45 Q), and we had a pleasant chat. She told me the hours were 6 PM to 1 AM six nights a week, closed on Sunday.

How long is the bus ride from Guatemala City to Tuxtla Gutierrez Mexico? Can you take the same bus or do you have to change busses at the border?

Don't bother going to Oro Solido. The chicas are not worth 500 Q.

The three high end clubs worth going to are Platino's, Le Club, and Capricho's. The going rate is 600 Q at all of them.

All have quality talent, and it seemed to me that they took turns being on top.

Platino's seemd to specialize in spinners, if you like that type of girl.

Le Club specializes in pushing over priced drinks and chica drinks every 25 minutes. It certainly has many hotties, but they act surprised if you actually ask for servicio.

Capricho's seems to have the most turnover and is more hit and miss. Some chicas were outstanding, but there were several nights when none caught my eye. They have an ocassional Russian or Eastern European, if that is what you want to find in Guatemala.

Elite is a total rip off. There is a $25 cover and it costs $150 for 30 minutes on premises. Elite wants $150 salido plus $250 for the chica to go off premises. And yes, these prices are in dollars, not quetzales.

The girls didn't look any hotter to me than at the other clubs that I mentioned. Not even as good, really.

There is no reason to ever venture anywhere near the place.

Hi Gamma,

The only U.S. style strip joints I can think of are Elite and Le Club. Dodger Bulldog mentioned a while back a place called Oro Solido, but I've never been.

It's been about six years since I went to Elite, so if someone else has been there more recently please feel free to correct my info. I think I paid $20 to get in and that included drinks. The setup inside is like a regular U.S. tittie place. I just remember that the girls were really good looking, but they did harrass me for drinks which were not cheap. Also, takeout or on premises servicio was stupid expensive as well. Personally, if i wanted that environment, I would go to a place here in the states.

Le Club is nice with a large selection of chicas, and they are at the upper level of the pay scale. I think they are at least 700Q for a half hour. Taxi drivers should know where it's at in Zona 4. Read previous posts for more info, but you may find this place your best bet for what you are looking for. Nice lookers here.

Paradise is near Plaza de Espana in Zona 9. I can't remember the exact number, but it is on the corner of 12a Calle and 6a Avenida. Going down 12a Calle from Plaza de Espana into Zona 9, Ave 6a is the next street behind a mexican restaurant called Cebollines. Turn right on 6a avenida and go down about 50 feet and you will see a neon sign with palm trees and "Paradise" on your left. Lots of nice chicas and the management is very customer oriented. You can use Visa/MC but be forewarned that they add a 10% surcharge. Same goes for Venus for that matter. Hope this helps.

First, I want to thank Shtupp and others for the great info! It saved me a *lot* of trouble. Before I forget, could someone post the address of Paradise? The only address that comes up in the threads seems to be one that was not longer correct. Also, is there any of these joints who runs a fully-fledged strip club? The dancers were very much an afterthought at Capricho's, and was quite mixed. Most didn't take the off the whole enchilada, but that may be because I was too early.

Tonight I visited Capricho's, and it was fairly nice. I had met "Kenya" there earlier, and she is a slight and thin girl, and very vivacious. I'm trying to find some quality places for daytime fun - someday I'll find the Guatemalan equivalent to Kiss Fresh of San Salvador fame.

Went to a massage parlor yesterday: Los Proceres 16 Ave 17-42; 5583-1368 , 2366-2467, 10A-8P 300Q 1hr/ 200Q 1/2hr.

They advertise as a massage parlor, but it's just a casa more along the lines of what you find in San Salvador. 8 chicas work there and they are pretty average looking. Nothing that you would write home about (or go on a vacation to Guatemala for). Standard presentation - one chica comes into the room at a time and gives you a peck on the cheek and then leaves. You then tell the madame your choice.

Had a sweet young thing named Karen, 20yo, typical Guatemalan schoolgirl look - short, stocky (but not fat) black hair, trace of Maya look. To add on to what Eric said, the massage parlors in Guat are kinda low budget affairs. The rooms have basically a massage table and a mattress on the floor and for your money you'll get a short massage and then on to the main event. If you want a good massage just get one at the hotel (if your staying at a good one), it'll be cheaper than what you could get in the states.

I would be surprised if you could find a sudsy-type massage place in GC. I view them as quick places to bust a nut, and nothing more.

Also, I had the pleasure of hanging with Dodger Bulldog a few weeks back and we did a hound run to the following places (thanks DB!)(addresses mentioned elsewhere so I won't repeat):

Paradise Club: Can't add much to what Eric said except to add my endorsement of the management. Good dudes.

Men's Club: I like this place a lot. 320Q for half hour. Bumped into a girl I knew from Marujas (she said it burned down) and had a reunion in back with her. Decent selection of girls here and you should be able to find something you like. You'll probably be the only gringo there though, but I've had no hassles.

Venus: Again, nice management and good value for your money at 300Q for a half hour. I had the pleasure of getting to know a little spinner named Mariela and she provided an excellent service - will go back. DB tried out Denisse, a slender Nica who also knows how to please.

The other night I stopped by Queens in Zona 10 and was not impressed. I guess it would be ok if you like big girls, but I don't.

U will not find any bodyscrub/massage parlors in Zona 10.

Your only other alternative in the area, is to call one of the esorts listed in the classifieds, and they come to your hotel, to massage and have full sex.
It's in the Prinsa Libre (is that it?) yellow classifed section. The paper sells out early, so you have to hurry to get one. But probably 8-12 escorts listed and I have used them before.

I just returned from GC and had a great time. It was during the W. Cup games. I attended Paradise Club in zona 9. Real close and I like it's style.
