I have a few questions. I have read through back to the start of 2009 and could not find the answers.

1. I am staying in Antigua, is it safe to take a cab back at midnight to Antigua, and about how much should I expect to pay?

2. When you buy the expensive lady drinks do they automatically give you a lap dance, do you go to a different area for the lap dance? Or do they sit there and you can mess around with them?

3. I plan on starting my night around 8pm, is that too early?

4. I have two nights and plan on going to the above clubs, and would just like any more details anyone may have.

I can answer a couple questions. Yes, it's possible to take a cab back to Antigua at midnight, but I'm not sure how much it is, it could cost a bit. 2 of us took a morning cab from Antigua to the airport, it cost $30, and that was in the morning, not at midnight when rides are pricier.

My one experience at a Guat City club was yes, if you bought a chica drink, she'd stay sitting and hanging out with you, and she'd grope you and be groped, one even shoved her nipples in my mouth and motorboated liberally. And they were obviously pushing for me to buy more drinks and services, get the little head thinking instead of the big one.

I am in Guat city for Thursday and Friday nights. I read earlier posts about 10=48 avenida Elena and 10=54 Calle Marti. These sound like my kind of places: Cheaper and quieter.

Anymore info or other places would be welcome.

A great fun place. And, this from someone who hasn't been a fan of strip clubs; I've probably over the years have walked out of half of them before even having a drink/paying the cover. And, leaving most of the others after one drink. But, not at Le Club: arrived at around 10 and stayed until closing. 3 am. So many girls to chose from. Most with good bodies that you want to see naked and dancing. Friendly girls who swarmed around the gringo on a quiet Monday night. I especially liked the number where the girls all dress up in the bumble-bee suits, dance to a song and then circle around giving little lap dances to all the customers. After about the 5th or 6th pelvis that plopped down on the lap, it was bingo. A perfect fit, and it was 'que su nombre senorita? ' As for the wait-staff, important thing is to not let them get to you: they're only doing their job. If you don't want to buy a girl-drink, don't. (I bought only one the entire night and talked to nearly all the girls.) Waiters will move a girl to another customer, but she'll come back, if she wants. Once waiters see you're drinking, tipping them (a little) and having fun, they'll slack off and leave you alone. Girls give the offer to go upstairs for 45 minutes for 600-700 qtzls. (it varied.) Tell them you want a TLN off-site and the quote is $230. (it did not vary.) Anyhow, when closing time arrives, it's time to go outside and across the street to the little restaurant-bar and continue the party. Some girls hop in cabs and zoom off. Most don't. Have a drink with them and see who wants to go home with you. The price won't be $230 anymore. I selected a nice perky little 19-year-old Honduran who stayed until 3 the next afternoon. She tried to get me to go to someplace called mercado and continue our date, but I'm not nineteen and had enough. How much? She didn't ask, but I thought I was generous. The girl was first rate and in no way hardcore. There were several like her in Le Club to select from.

I was pleasantly surprised by Guatemala, or more precisely by the couple clubs I went to. Of course there is military police around every street corner but zone 10 definitely seems safe during the day.

Went to Men's club the first night, small club, Theresa jumped on me and got me to buy her multiple lady drinks and I ended up with an 800Q bar bill, which I still wonder how that happened. They wanted to charge an extra 12% to use a credit card, did not like that. Was quoted 2000 by Theresa and 1500 by her manager for take out. Both seemed to expensive and I passed. Theresa said she would meet me back at the Westin and stay the night for $100, we had a deal but she was a no show, oh well. At least I got lap dances for a couple hours for my 800Q...

Next night went to Le Club early. Was not disappointed, even the "flies" bartenders and security were nice I thought and did not bother me much. A lot of silicone but also some real pretty girls, many with acrobatic skills, the rooms are OK and I ended up twice with the same chica, Montserrath (her spelling). At the end of the night she invited me across the street for a beer (she paid) and would have stayed with me for free during the day if I did not have to go. Got to learn her life story, she is from Honduras started "dancing"in Mexican night clubs at 15 (she is 19 now, showed me her real and fake IDs)) and works 7 days a week, 11 hours per day at Le Club, not easy. Very nice and sweet girl who will reciprocate if treated well.

Despite my thinking that I would not be there, I as incorrect and I will be there. This sunday night thing in Central America is getting to be a real bummer. I will use your suggestions, and I will pay a membership when I get back to the US and can use my anon credit card.

The Los Torres is very safe. It's just a block from the Intercontinental and across the street from the Holiday Inn in Zona 10 which is a very safe area of Guate.

I wouldn't worry about the taxi drivers you find at the airport other than they might try to overcharge you. The standard fare from the Airport to the Zona 10 hotels is Q80 ($10 US). The cab drivers that work Zona 10 are not a problem either. Typical fare at night to places in Zona 9 and 10 are Q30 to Q50.

I just noticed you have a problem :-( You will be there on a Sunday night and all the clubs will be closed. Your best option would be to go to the Los Torres and talk to the night guard about him calling someone for you. Q100 will work wonders for this effort. If he produces expect to pay Q400 to the chica.

Another option would be to talk to a Zona 10 Cab Driver that hangs out in front of one of the main hotels. However, their first suggestion will be to take you to Elite and you do not want to go there. Also, wherever you wind up use Q600 for a half hour as a payment guide for high quality chicas.

Unfortunately I will be in Guate tomorrow evening and returning home the 6th or 7th. Otherwise I would make arrangements to meet you and help you in your adventures.

1. You will get a 90 day Visa stamp when you pass through immigration at the airport, no charge. There is a 20 Quetzale ($2.50 US) departure tax when you leave.

2. Holiday Inn and the Intercontinental are both near the airport in Zona 10. There are girls that hang out on the street in that area offering "massage" and there are many massage establishments nearby. Capricio's is also near and a very good club. Chica friendly can be difficult but most activity in Guate is at the club or massage establishment.

3. Capricio's is near and a very good club. Le Club is a 50 Quetzale ($4.00 US) taxi ride and can be a lot of fun. DO NOT go to Elite. It is a rip off joint. This thread has some good information on other options.

At Capricio's or La Club you can take a girl to the room for 1/2 hr. to 1 hr. for Q600 - Q 800 ($75 to $100 US). Girl quality and performance at both is excellent. The massage establishments in Zona 9 and Zona 10 are typically Q300 to Q400 ($35 to $50 US) all inclusive and girl quality and performance is good to excellent.

4. Taxi fare from the airport to a Zona 10 hotel should be 80 Quetzales which is about $10 US. You should convert about $20 at the airport to Quetzales to pay for taxi fare to Zona 10 then use an ATM to get Quetzales. Many will not accept dollars and if they do you will loose on the exchange rate.

You may want to brush through this magazine. It has all local bars, hotels restaaurnats in the area along w/their websites.
Look up the appropriate websites listed and go from there....definitely don't have to splurge $100 plus for 6-8 hours.

There is the Los Torres in Zona 10 on Calle 13 one block off of Reforma. It's across the street from the Holiday Inn. They are about $40 per night and I have stayed there many times. I plan to visit Guatemala City in June or July and stay in Zone 1 and stay at the Spring Hotel. I just completed my 4th community college Spanish class and will see if I can survive for two weeks of vacation in Guatemala City.

1. Does anyone know how I can get the address for the Green Place 9 hole golf course? I play golf and plan to use this address to give to taxi drivers to get there to play.

2. Can I safely use taxis that are on the street in Guatemala City? One of the guide books says that I must call for a taxis or risk being held captive and ransomed. I am not sure my wife will pay the ransom.

3. I want to thank those who have posted in this area in the past. After reading those posts, I believe that I will be staying in a Chica favorable area and I will enjoy myself.
