However all the parties involved have adapted to the new law. But the forum rules prohibit to talk about anything violating the law. It's the major reason.

One of the advantages of renting a car is that recovery from these kinds of disconnects is much easier. I'll often improvise in the NRW. There are so many options that if one RTC is having a slow day I'll just head out to some other place.

Having bounced around NRW a few times, for me, a rental car is mandatory. That being said, it does bring up its own issues. Check the FKK rental car thread.

I'll second that! Much easier. Only problem is the traffic where most of the rtc's are located is horrendous!

Took train from Amsterdam last week to visit Freude 39. Checked their website for opening times.

Left at 8 am, 45 min into the 2. 5 HR train someone jumped in front of our train. After sitting on the tracks for 90 min watching the police mull around. They eventually told us they were sending another train. Another long wait. And they dropped us off at a station in middle of nowhere (absolutely freezing).

Apparently not that rare. According to the train website a person jumps / is hit by a train somewhere in Germany at least once a day.

Made my way (eventually to Bochum). Was supposed to arrive by 10:40 am. But it's now 2 pm. I have to get back to AMS within a reasonable time as my GF is waiting.

Take taxi from Bochum to Freude 39, get out, taxi pulls away and of course only then do I see the sign by the door stating it's closed for 'repairs' - and that the girls are spread across three other clubs..

La Luna, Grimberg, Arabella.

Taxi to Arabella, absolutely dire lineup. 6 girls, 12 guys and the doorbell continuously ringing. Only doable girl is Cindy. Have to wait for an hour as of course she's booked. She tries to upsell an hour and pouts when I don't go for it. One of the girls says Freude isn't doing repairs. But it's a problem with license. Go figure.

Not satisfied with one pop, but no other doable girls in Arabella. Now it's 5 pm and I'm halfway between Bochum and Gel. Text for another taxi. Do I go back to Bochum station or on to La Luna?

Taxi shows up and I say Club La Luna. Off we go. (hint: I thought La Luna was far away. It's been awhile since I hit this club) however a quick google search shows it was in Gel. And closer than Grimberg.

20 min (and 20 euro) later we're at La Luna Pizzeria. Rgggg! My bad.

Decide to head for Grimberg as at least I know it.

Grimberg has a few girls from Freude. The skinny one (who seems to hate me), and the small one (ditto). After waiting around for an hour trying to get the small one I just grab someone random. Have a good 20 min and then head back to Amsterdam.

Get home 10:20 pm with some explaining to do. Doh!

Total cost for two shags = 130 rt train, 60 club entry, 80 taxis, 80 girls = 350 euro.

Crap day on trains, and worse in the clubs. The lineups were really dire in NRW. I had planned to go again this week, but might just skip it.

Thus concludes my trip to NRW. Many thanks to those who helped me list the clubs in the area. I hope some of you found the reports interesting or informative or both.

By my count I hit 8 of the 9 clubs in the area. Freude x2, Grimberg, Laluna x3, Luderland, M-Exclusiv, Romantika, Venus x2, Verena. The only one I skipped was Arabella, mostly because I was not impressed with their lineup the last time I was there. And by the last 3-4 days of my trip, they were not doing any happy hours, so I went elsewhere. Overall, I had a good time. Would like to have met up with some ISG members, but either you guys are not around, or are too shy.

Now I'm back in the States and wondering when I'll be back in Germany again.
