    Great info Thank You.

Can you tell me what the San Pedro Sula scene was like in a few words?

I have done San Salv a few times. Great sex but a boring city. Guate could be a great destination if only they had a little more going on at night. The city was a graveyard after rush hour. Otherwise I found many budget offerings to satisfy my needs. However being in a hotel at 7 pm until the next morning took a toll on me.

I thought maybe there were hidden gems in Honduras due to the off the beaten path reputation it holds. I am willing to disregard warning signs for a good deal.

If Caracas straightens out the money / cambio thing I am in like flynn.

I have been to Teguc twice. The vibe is fair as far as strip clubs and casas. One club I went too it was literally so dark we could not see a thing unless someone was right up in your face.

Another club security saw my friend and I walking up to him with a beer and refused us entry even though we were willing to throw the beer away before going in. We were not drunk.

    City seems pretty spread out.

Maybe I do not have enough experience in Teguc and there are places I missed but, I wasnt too impressed.

    1. Is there a RedLight District or areas of town where prostitution is visible like in Guate? No

    2. Are there casas de citas (Brothels) ? Kinda. Not as great as MDE or SJO but some exist. Think massage parlor setup but no neon sign.

    3. Can I find a decent hotel with AC for $40/50 ? Probably. Depends on what you mean by decent. I think you can. Safety and security is most important here though.

    4. Is there any sign of nightlife or does the city become a graveyard after 7 pm? Definitely not dead.

    5. Is the high rate of HIV contained to coastal regions or all over the country? No signs of high infection rates anywhere here.

    6. Are working girls mainly spanish looking or of african heritage? Latina

Thank You So Much for reading.

I was not alone, locals were giving me a ride. Therefore I could not stop and ask. There were less than 10 and more than five.

    Some luck in Tegus

I was in Tegucigalpa recently and found a place with -some- attractive girls. Actually it is in Comayaguela, which is on the northwest side of Tegus. My two Honduran friends and I hired a taxi driver to take us to a strip club called Coco, but we realized when we got there that it is out of business. The taxi driver knew of a couple places in Comayaguela, just a 10-15 minute drive from central Tegus. The part of town was a little sketchy and I may not have gone if my Honduran friends weren't there with me. Tegus is eerily dark and quiet at night, despite being the capital city. The first one was called Aula Oro (Gold Classroom). We got there about 1:15 and it closes at 2:00. There were some girls there, but it was really dead, like they were just killing time until closing. It was a Tuesday, and apparently Sunday through Wednesday are pretty slow. None of them were dancing (there is a very small "stage" with a pole) but were mostly just sitting on a couch looking bored. Also, they were all quite large, which we weren't looking for. Entry fee was around $4, and you get a coupon for a beer or wine.

We left there and went to the other place the cabbie knew about. It was just a few blocks away. It had a very strange name: "Centro Turistico Tango" (The Tango Tourist Center). There was no entry fee. The vibe was very dead there too, but there were a couple nice looking ladies among the big ones. We quickly chose the two thin ones and negotiated the fee to come with us to the hotel. It was L400 each ($19 each) to the bar and L1,400 each ($67 each) for "todo la noche," (all night) which at this point was only four hours or so. We agreed to get them a taxi ride home at 6 am. They were thin and pretty and easy to talk to. Neither spoke any English, but I speak a little Spanish, so we were able to communicate reasonably well. One was named Haley and was very thin with small breasts. The other was named Belkis (SP?) and was also somewhat thin but curvier with nice large breasts. They were fun, accommodating, and easy to deal with. The doorman at our hotel, Aparthotel Guijarros, didn't mind us bringing our "novias" (girlfriends) to the room with us.

My suggestions would be to go to either of these places with a taxi, but get there earlier. I'm guessing the cream of the crop got picked before we got there, and I assume that earlier will be safer too. By the way, I tried calling the taxi driver below (Roger Arrevalos) but the guy who answered said he didn't know anything about a taxi driver named Roger. I hope this helps everyone have some fun in Tegucigalpa!

I spend time in Tegus for work from time to time. I am mainly in the Centro Historico area. Many people just avoid this area, but it is not as bad as many think.

Anyways, Plaza LOS Dolores is on the somewhat NW side of the Centro Historico area. Right to the West of the cathedral is a small red-light area. There are about 5-6 hourly hotels which you can get for the equivalent of $5-10. There are always girls on the small street there. About 10 pm they get better. At 3 pm they are just plain nasty.

Keep in mind the girls don't speak a word of English and there will be seedy characters in the area after dark. Most girls will go for the equivalent of $20 or less for half hour ($400 and under Lempira).

Also in the main plaza there are always a few street walkers in the Southwest corner that you can grab and take to a room if you want.

If you are doing the online search, be careful! Lots of trannies on the online sites.

    RE: Tegu Update

Thanks for the info on Tecu. I have been curious about it and thought about spending a night or two enroute to Roatan. Could you provide some additional info:

    1. Which hotel did you stay and was it chica friendly?

    2. Besides casas, any strip clubs, or freelancer bars?

    3. I was pleasantly surprised at how good looking some of the girls were in a recent trip to Guatemala. I haven't been to El Salvador. I prefer the slim, spinner girl next door type. Did you see any around in Tecu, even if not working girls?

    4. Any places you recommend for people watching and killing time?

    5. Thanks for the contact info on the taxi driver. A trusted taxi driver is the best way to explore a new city.

Forgive me if you have been to Tegu before but I know like me there must be a lot of you out their thinking is it worthwhile and is it safe, I was nearly put off coming here during my Central America tour as the amount of warnings I got from everyone outside of this country painting a scary picture (Like a War Zone).

What I learn't in my 2 days here, do not take any taxi driving around, only take taxi's that are called in via your hotel or recommended to you by trusted sources. The city is safe by day as long as you stick to the city spots and don't wander down any isolated streets like anywhere in the world. Money can be withdrawn from ATM's safely, probably the safest option obviously keep an eye for bike riders that are roaming in circles (they are there to watch tourists withdrawing hard cash). Thanks for the update. Finding a good taxi driver is the only way to get out and mongering in Tegus it seems nowadays. The online prepagos and such are mainly trannys.

Yesterday was a wasted day so today its Sunday and you know that's a big NO NO in Central America, chica places are always closed. I hooked up with my hotels Taxi driver and eventually with his little English and my broken Spanish managed to see some sites and get on to tasting some local delicacy. HE took me to 3 different casa type establishments out of all 2 were closed (being Sunday) the last was thankfully open!

2 chicks there to choose from, one was an absolute stunner. Damage was stated at 2000 Limp ($95) and I just told my taxi driver that's too excessive, finally as business was not exactly booming the lady stated 1500 ($75) would be ok for 1 HR and if I want its buy one get one free LOL! I declined as the other chick was a little large and she would just end up getting in the way! Overall good session, girl was into it, nice body, stunning face and we changed up positions even getting on to the sofa. Started off with a massage and ended with a bang. She also offered me her number so we could meet up afterwards.

I can't remember the names of the places or locations but you can contact the Taxi driver direct, he speaks a little English and is willing to be flexible with pricing, nice enough guy. Will take you around the establishments with no problems: Roger Arevalo, mobile (504) 9813 2952.

    Have fun.
