Trip Early Jan:

City is pretty rough place even by Central American standards. All strip clubs were closed I am assuming due to covid still. Girls online are few and far between (most ask for half upfront, so scam). It was hard finding regular bar even that was open and half decent. I wouldn't even recommend trying it out until all covid restrictions are lifted then maybe some life will come back.

Massage parlors were closed about 1 year ago major crackdown, some still operate but very clandestine, no ads in newspaper. For SW before the lockdown the main area was in the center between 6 and 7 avenue and 5 to street also in the area called Guamilito, at 2nd street between 6 an 3rd avenue, if you venture to 10th avenue a lot of Transexuuals. Some SW during the day on 7th av between 6 and 7 streets. However be aware all this areas are watched by local gangs that supply protection and drugs to SW, Be street smart and keep safe. Some other areas near Maheco offer SW but haven't scouted the area lot of crime.

Is there a red light district in san Pedro sula? I want to go to the local *houses where there are no foreigners or gringos! Also I'm down for the street hookers what are the prices? Location of street action please.

Going to SPS next month. Seems like it is pretty dead for mongering unless anyone has some up to date information. Even strip clubs like Pussycats and Cocktails that I was able to find online seem to have dead FB / Twitter accounts now with no posts in years. Anyone that's been there post-covid, got any suggestions. I know it's a shot in the dark with how dead this forum is for this country.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Pink Pussycat yet in this forum. Its a club just off the SW part of the Avenida Circunvalacion. I went there on a Friday, and there were many stunning girls present, some straight-up 10's. Its only L50 to enter ($2. 50) and drinks are reasonable prices. The place is clean and seems safe, as there are several big bouncers around and they pat you down for weapons at the door. No one speaks any English, so you really need to know at least some Spanish or have someone with you that does.

The main warning is if you are on a tight budget, forget it. Its very expensive. The vibe is very high-pressure. The girls are constantly asking for you to buy them drinks, and if you don't specify what they are drinking, they will order Patron shots at $15 each. Many of the girls are bitchy and aloof (or maybe they are just that way to me because I wasn't constantly buying table dances and drinks.).

I was staying at the hotel right across the road, the Monteolivos. It wasn't a very nice hotel for the price (about $80 for a single) but I wanted to be able to walk to the club. It turns out that they are not chica friendly. They charged me a $15 fee for bringing a girl to my room. As I was coming back after dropping her off, the guy at the front desk, said in a very chastising tone, "Good morning, Mr. X, we have an issue to discuss about a girl. " as if he was trying to make me feel like I got caught doing something bad. After trying to make me feel bad some more, he told me he had to charge me $15 and I said that was fine. I don't know if their policy is that you can't take girls to your room, or if you can but you just have to pay $15. He must have thought I was trying to get away with not paying the fee, when really I just didn't even think of it.

The girl I chose ended up being a very bad choice. Her name was Brittany and she was very sexy, but was terrible to deal with. They start at L3,500 ($160) for an hour and last year I was able to talk a different girl down a bit, but Brittany wouldn't have it. So I agreed and we went to the hotel. Right as we left, she started in with the appeals for more money. She told me about her two kids and how expensive it is for food and clothes, etc, blah, blah, blah. I was thinking right then and there of turning around and telling her that the deal was off, but I figured they probably wouldn't give me my money back, so I chose to ignore it and carry on.

Well, it never stopped. She kept trying to find ways for me to give her more money, and kept trying to hurry me to finish, even when we had only been there for 10 minutes or so. She refused to do some of the positions I wanted and was generally annoying. She smoked pot in the bathroom without asking me, risking a cleaning charge from the hotel. Even afterward when I was getting dressed, she told me to come back to the club and buy her drinks and dances!! Just to shut her up, I told her I would, but then when I walked her back, I just turned around and left.

So, probably my mistake was in not talking to her longer before I asked about her coming to my room. I should have talked to other girls I liked and found out if they were too aggressive with the "give me money" routine. One of the main reasons I prefer prostitutes is that you are just paying, and so you can skip the silly games, but unfortunately some of them can't help but play those games even when there is an agreement for payment already.

There is another club a few blocks away that I went to very briefly last year that is less high class. Next visit I want to give that one a try, maybe they are more relaxed. I can't remember the name, but I'm sure a cabbie in the area would know how to get you there.

Good Report, I have been there as well. It appears to be the nicest / best club in the city. It is clean and safe.

You said you were going to find something and report it. That was7 months ago. I was not impressed by Honduras and probably will not return. I spent 2 day trips in SPS, and 5 days in the surrounding cities. I was surprised at the lack of hot women. Not to say there aren't any, My girlfriend and 2 working for me who are, but didn't see anything to write home about. Seems you didn't either.

I'm planning a trip to SPS soon. I have read through most of this thread and it seems like Generous Gent has the most knowledge of the country. Thanks in advance for all the travel warnings. I've been reading the sucesos section at la prensa.

From the sounds of the scene on the streets, I want to stay away from street-walkers and go for escorts only. Who should I talk to to get some fresh young talent? The last mention of Omar's number working was in 2008. Anybody know if he's still around and using the same number?
