So things have improved somewhat since I last posted. I forgot to mention that I went to Cueta &;Good Time on the first evening. It seemed that I arrived early for both as nobody there. Good Time seemed to have overcharged me and I didn't really have a 'good time'. Went across the road to Cueta and again, nobody else there. Was in a faul mood at that stage. Just had a beer and left.

Went back to Cueta more recently and bad a great time. Chica drinks were reasonable and I bought plenty of them (although I believe they still overcharged but iI wasn't going to spoil things by getting into another argument over a few dollars.

Got taxi home and there was a tasty fine thing in the back seat giving me the 'fuck me' eyes. In my best (very) pidgeon Spanish, I managed to engage and we hooked up.

Travelled to San Juan Del Sur with her and meeting up again this afternoon. In recent days had also taken day trips to Granada & Leon. Not interesting from a mongering perspective but good from a touristy angle.

Have been back down the Masaya Highway. Just south of Metrocentro. Found more SWs. Again at night time. They weren't great and stand in very dark places so hard to see what you're buying into. I guess they're setup for people with cars. But even if I had one, I don't think I'd bother.

I went back to Vida de Rosa at one point and screwed one of the chicas. Mechanical is not sufficient a word to cover it. I know there was no financial loss but still. What's the point?

Only have today / tonight left so may not have much else to post. Thanks to those who have posted here. I hope my feedback is equally beneficial to others.

You might to Granada for a few days. There is not a lot of action, but it is a nice city.

Ok, It looks like I have time on my hands so will try and post comprehensively.

US $10 required on entry at the airport. Got a claro sim at the kiosk at airport. Which has proven invaluable. $13 for 1 GB data over 15 days if you have an. Unlocked phone. Great for Google maps / translate and basic internet access on the go.

Hotel quoted $15 for taxi from airport. Picked up my bags and walked out to the highway and flagged a cab down for 8 dollars (still more than locals will pay but I had baggage and wanted to get settled). Got to Hotel and then started out on foot. Taxi to Fenix (thanks for the map. Their addressing system is bonkers and it makes it so much easier to show them the map / directions). It was early and I was struggling with the damned humidity so an airconned Fenix was welcome. There were just 2 girls on. They were OK (as I was to find later on, they were good by comparison elsewhere). US $11 for a chica drink whereas cover and my own drinks were reasonable. $33 for 30 mins. If they had a more reasonable chica drink policy, I'd have hung out there every evening.

Moved on to Bar Azul, Bar La Vida en Rosa & El Gato. Beer was cheap. There was no cover but the very same intrinsic problem with all of them; The girls are all 'chunkies'. Can't understand it. Surely there have to be a few good looking girls they can find?

There were maybe 3/4 I could see myself screwing but either I couldn'tget their attention or they were 'engaged' with other customers. In the case of El Gato, they have 2/3 thin and reasonably attractive girls but their attitude sucks.

Went to these places a few times (not having any idea of an alternative plan). Drank back few cold Tona's and watched my surroundings. Felt mostat home in Rosa. It's big and spacious. Easier to be the anonymous gringo. If that's even possible). Never banged anything. Visited Gloria's after a lot of hassle trying to find it. You go thru someone's front room to get to it. They were finishing up but the one girl there was screwable and spoke some English. So banged her.

Visited Bar El Almendro. Very much a neighbourhood bar and small. Was never comfy there so had a beer and left. Same deal with their girls ie. Chunkies'.

Today's day trip was aborted (went to volcano masaya but they had closed the park due to volcanic activity). Ended up back in Managua and honestly I'm at a loss as to what to check out there anymore. Took a cab to blue Azul and Rosa but too early. Then my taxi driver was trying to tell me these places were too dangerous for me. I never really felt that threatened but there was a fight at El Gato and I guess there's no motive on his part to tell me otherwise??

In terms of SWs, I've only come across 2 and they were both trannies! I'm on foot so I guess I'm not ideally setup to check them out.

Anyway at the end of it the girl tried to pad our the bill to almost double. In any event, I put my foot down. Big argument but paid what was right. Told not to come back. I didn't want to anyway!

This isn't turning out to be the greatest of trips from both the mongering and touristy respects. Anyone got any advice on how / where I could improve the experience?

Ok, I guess I was just unlucky then. I tried up by parque de la paz but no joy. Then along by the casinos, I came across 2 but they were trannies. The irony was that they were better looking than the bar girls. As regards fenix, I've already bought a girl the 11 dollar drink. However I like to hang out in a place like that for a few hours and at that price, I'll end up with my pockets turned out. Have only popped once since I've gotten here. Not because it wasnt possible. Just that those bar girls are damned unattractive (perhaps the licals like chunky? Not attracted to girls where they have as big a beer gut as mine!

Oh well, off to the volcanos today. Different type of enjoyment.

The malecon is the walk along the lake.

When we were there the lake was windy, the water rough and overcast, not very pretty. I hope your days are sunny.

You can find lots of not so chunky chicas around.

At the Fenix you will have to buy the chica at least one drink.

The bars with girls great value but very chunky. Hard to whip up an appetite.

Fenix: good looking girls and I guess their 30 min rate is OK even if above local rates but their chica drink price is plain wrong. Very frustrating as I would hang out there if they charged half that (it's less expensive in Tijuana and that's right next to San Diego).

What is Malcon? Must look it up.

With that attitude I am sure you will have a good time.

I would of liked more time to really get a feel for the city, but just didn't plan the trip out well. (traveling with others.).

For sure go to Malcon, I really enjoyed our visit there. Looks like it would be a fun place to kill time on the weekends.

Some good looking women in Managua, but lots of short, chunky ones as well.

I found the locals friendly and quick to smile.

Thanks for posting Special Ed. I guess I don't just pick a destination for mongering reasons alone although I'd be disappointed if I couldn't make that a reasonably successful element of the trip. There are elements that seem challenging. Being a pasty whitey, it looks like I'llhave to be a hard ass due to the special treatment on pricing. Wherever I look, that factor keeps coming up.

The lack of street names. Sounds insane! Still I guess its all part of a rich tapestry. And I do like to visit places that are different. I suppose if I can negotiate hard and find a driver, it will make life easier. I have an aversion to paying above the odds so if mongering proves to be a waste of time, I'll spend more time on other touristy stuff instead.

Not sure I would go to Managua just to hobby.

There are members here with a lot more knowledge and info on the scene and hopefully the will chime in for you.

As to my impressions, the strip clubs open around 7 or at least Good Time does. There is another club directly across the street, can't remember the name.

I did not go into that club, was short of time.

There is a map posted by a member down a few post, it lists clubs, bars and restos and areas where SW hang out.

Beware of taxi drivers. Or at least the ones at the airport, the bastards try to charge me anywhere from $17-30 US to go my hotel, less than 3 km away.

Luckily my arranged ride from my hotel (Hotel X) showed up. We used this guy for travels within the city the night before our flight, round trip to the malcon and me to the strip clubs cost about $20 including the tip and he waited at Malecon while we had dinner.

I think if its poon you are chasing, Costa Rica is easier with lots of options for daytime within a walkable area.

I think there are opportunities there in Managua, but its just not as easy to get to, and or work up.

If you are white, expect to pay a white tax at the clubs, well maybe if you are fluent in Spanish you might do better.

Like I said in my post, if I am ever back there will delve into the scene more, but I would not make a trip just to monger there.

Hello all. Will be in Managua soon for a week. Staying at Hotel_San_Luis (incidentally, does anyone know if this hotel is chica-friendly?

Not been to this part of the World before, so have been reading through the forum with interest. This is downtime rather than business so whilst I hope to do some day trips and see a few sights / experience Managua / Nicaragua otherwise, the opportunity to follow this hobby whilst there should help to make the trip.

I arrive mid morning, should be checked in and ready to roll around midday. I'd like to spend that first day scoping out the establishments many of you have mentioned.

I'll be relying on walking or taxi. I'd like to try and put a plan together as to where to visit and in what order (I. E. What is closest together, relative to the hotel, etc). Any advice on what way I can approach that?

I like to spend time in strip clubs (but only if theres enough going to to keep things interesting and if its not a total $ rip off). Is Good Times the best option in that respect? Are there any other contenders?

Any feedback appreciated (and of course, in due course, I'll provide my own. Check my previous posts. You'll see that I have. For other parts of the World).

Was down in Nicaragua last week.

The plan was to go out the first night and last due to catching Spirit red eyes.

Didn't make it the first night.

After a week at the beaches we drove back in.

If visiting Nicaland, you will most definitely want to go to the Malcon while in Managua! It's great. Even on a Sunday night it was packed!

Lots of places to get food and drink! If you speak Spanish (I don't), I have no doubt pick ups can be done there.

With time running out I hit up Good Time 9-1030 pm.

150 cdbs entrance fee.

100 cdbs beer.

185 cdbs for lady drinks.

With time running out, bought a girl a drink and tried to chat her up. Luckily she went and got her phone with translate.

Was quoted US $30 for a two song lap dance in private room.

US $120 for a half hour of sexo!

Told her I thought it was 700 cdbs for half hour, she told me it was management rules?

Place was pretty dead, handful of customers and only a few girls at 10 pm.

Perhaps she wasn't to interested in a session, but at those prices I passed regardless.

She was pretty damn hot and now that I am back home, wish I had spent the money and brought home the memory instead of the cash.

Will say I got eyes on about 6 or 7 girls, 3-4 of them were hot the others, depending on taste, doable.

Would go back again if I am ever in Managua.

There are a lot of Autohotels and some are in very dodgy areas that are not safe to visit. (Like a well known one that is in Barrio Hugo Chavez). Los Almendros is in the boonies but it is not unsafe, it's just unlikely you'd go there.

Bubujas near Cd. Sandino there is nearly no chance you would be in that area. Certainly don't go in that barrio.

And/or they are shitholes. (Many, many of them). Thankfully the barrio or the appearance will clue you in.

Just because they are on a map doesn't mean you should go there.

Thank you for that advice. We are planning a trip now. We are thinking about getting a gringo type hotel (for amenities), such as Holiday Inn and using our base camp while exploring. Any thoughts on that idea?
