    El Almendro

[QUOTE=Grand Pollo]Please note you cannot bring girls into the Almendro so don't try if that is a plan. Use autohotels or the casas. They will happily charge you $50 for the girl per night or eject you. Sometimes really late the guard will look the other way, a small propina like a pack of Marlboros is appreciated.

GP, I tipped the night security guy frequently and took a beer out to him late one evening to hang out and practice my Spanish. I asked about bringing a chica back and he said I could.

I doubt the ladies at the front desk would approve and I also didn't clarify if he expected extra money. I sensed, like you said, that being quiet about it and offering a tip would take care of it.

I did not test their policy even though I saw many really nice chicas on the street at Zona Rosa as El Almendro does not have room safes, which I consider a necessity when having a s/w in your room.

    Sunday

As GP noted, many of the places are closed for Semana Santa. Fenix was open as was Salavador I (I think that is the name). I don't have a clue where this place is and you probably wouldn't want to go there alone anyway. There were 14 chicas, with 4 doable and 2 nice. I should note that I like the petite, dark skinned ones. The Nica guys seemed to like the big curvy chicas that didn't interest me.

The beers here are 15c vs. 40 at Fenix and the chicas are only 130c. I picked the spinner and we went into the back into a small, dirty room. She did grab a fresh sheet at least. My spinner was "con leche", so I assumed she had a baby at home. I was bummed that she would not offer oral, so I give her a 5 for service, 6 for looks (the milk doesn't do much for me). For US$7, I guess it was worth it, but I will not go back here.

Tomarrow I will be in Managua

Wish a had more time to study Spainish. And I have been to 7 countrys I left out Guatamala City & Columbia. I said my Spainish was Bad but I have learned quite a bit and overall I have an easy time being understood of course I know to stay silent alot.

I like to tell the girls that dinero for sexo is cold & that I like romance & passion & of course they reply that they are very passionate & then try to throw a little romance my way. Yes I know about the no overnight policy at Hotel Almendro but MP girls should be fine for the first 2 days. If I find some GFE I will get me a Love hotel with a hot tub and I will not have to worry about my lap top or cash in my hotel. I am very oversexed & I look the ladys that will give me a workout 2-4 Orgasmo's a night my guess is that I will meet her at Polanco's although crusing the Casinos & the fancy hotel bars is also a great way to meet top shelf chica's as that is the case in most Latin countrys that have visited. No I will not overpay but will pay extra for quility as classy with a nice spinner body is important to me. I am 40 with Italian looks and Latina's seem to go for me. 5'11 HWP green eyes dark hair untill I speak I blend in.

I remain amazed at reading that someone has been to 5 Spanish speaking countries and has no Spanish. It is a real handicap not being able to communicate. Why can't you learn some? Just curious.

I am in the VIP lounge at MGA airport right now as I write this, heading home 4 days early unfortunately as my travel agent booked the 18th not the 15th for my return and the 18th is 3 days too late and the 15th is now sold out. Maldicion!

Per the gringo in jail, I suspect the reports below as to a plot to get rid of her and manufacture an alibi have at least equal weight to his story.

    Managua again

The local Nicas I have talked to said the guy is guilty. They all say he hired someone to off his novia and thought he had his tracks covered.

I tried to add a couple nights to my SJDS reservation and it was impossible. The whole place is booked, even the hotels 30 kilos away. Must be a nice beach, as folks come from Costa Rica to stay there.

So I´m back in Managua. Luis offered to pick me up in Grenada, as he doesn´t have much work in Managua with everyone at the beach. Morena, Claudia 1 & 2, and Buen Gusto are closed. We went to a place in a barrio that looked like another house, but opened up into an outdoor courtyard with big screen televisions--sort of like an outdoor sports bar only with 16 chicas. Two of the 16 were doable and are apparently 130c. I was trying to decide on a curvy dark skinned gal or the young skinny one, when they both went in back. Snooze and lose.

Ended up back--yes, again--at Fenix. I´m becoming a regular here, but they seem to have some new faces each time I go. This dark and sleezy place tends to grow on me. The tall chica with big tits wanted me again, but I saw a young spinner that was shy, but very cute. Her name is Linda and I recommend her for those wanting the GFE experience. She claims to be 20, not the nasty pornstar performance like the tall one, but affectionate and sweet. Looks: 8, Performance: 8 (great oral skill).

I am still pissed at Conquistador for not honoring my reso and the other hotel was far off the beaten path, so Luis recommended El Almendro. It is very nice and worth the extra money. Nice staff, pool, spacious room with kitchen, and close to the mall and ever important gas station with beer, rum, water, and ATM. Walked to the mall last night and ate at the food court while watching the teenage couples do their thing.

I have gone through most of the better chicas at Fenix and may have to take a s/w tonight.

    safety in Managua

Guys …… the "Today show" story about the gringo in Tipitapa prison is an extremely unique situation. I know Nicaragua …… I used to live there …… and there has to be something more to the story than we are hearing. I used to spend 4 nights per week in barrio Villa Venezuela which is known as the toughest barrio in all Managua. I am a blonde, blue-eyed gringo … and I don't very well blend in with the scenery. I never had one iota of a problem. I used to hang out at Aqui Polanco …… again, never a problem. I even used to do Fenix on a regular basis …… never a problem. In all sincerity, Managua is the safest city in probably all of Latin America. Definitely safer than any major city in the USA. Just don't act like a dumb ass Gringo! Again … there is something hugely "fishy" about the San Juan del Sur murder case with the Gringo in Managua at the time. San Juan del Sur is a big tourist area and believe me they don't want to do anything to drive away the Gringo dollar. You need not worry about your safety in Nicaragua.

    Safety

It feels safer in Managua that Guatemala City or Lima if that makes a difference. The outlying towns are much safer.

Please actually go to Nicaragua, then have an experience other than reading, then comment. We can all google and read news. The point is, this situation is so marginally relevant to actual visitors that it is nothing more than scare mongering from surfing the web. Needless info.

If you as I did, go to the Mercado Oriental to photograph the embedded brothel (Callejon de la Muerte) you will take , as I did, your driver , a body guard to watch your back and in this case as my driver has a gun and an permit, a gun and a permit. We actually planned to go back at night and had arranged to hire two off duty cops for US$20 (total for 2 hours) and they were bringing their AK-47's so by comparison we were relatively unstrapped.

Even shopping for anything major where you have to go in with a fair amount of dough, a gun or guard makes sense. There is the biggest gun shop in Managua in the Mercado so they probably know who their customers are and where they are as well.

I am assuming you have seen nothing of Latin America if you are shocked by the idea of bribes making the case in criminal matters. I have a friend in Panama, formerly of Honduras whose wife lost a court case. Immediately after she ran over the judge with her truck. Arrested and got 8 years. After a few weeks to let emotions settle, and after a rather reasonable $5000 payoff she is out with no record. The judge she ran down got some, and the rest was spread around as it is in these places.

Where you live, I presume the USA the non falsely accused stay out of jail the same way. Surely you know that much.

grand is not that far from the truth. I lived in Managua for 2 months and there were places where we did have to get a friend to bring his gun, particularly the Mercado Oriental, but most places where the normal people hang out, its not a requirement

The likelyhood of any visitor getting involved in this type of thing is lower than nil.

The "real" suspect comes from a rich family so this guy's family needs to outbribe them.

Hot it sure is. Wait for the rainy season when the humidity is 90%, as well.

Even though Morena had the bigguns there (which has been a problem) did she at least tell you the price was going to be C$400?

The El Q is famous for doing horribly with reservations and it is not reliable enough to recommend or prebook with confidence. They have been known to just delete e-mail requests if they are full vs. a reply saying so. OK place if you happen upon it and they have a room but that is as far as you can count on.

Hope you continue to have a good time.

    Live from Managua

    Hola,

Damn it is hot during the day here!

Luis picked me up at the airport last night and took me to the room I confirmed with a credit card at El Conquistador, but they were full and didn´t seem to care that I had made a reservation. Ended up down the street at the Monte Hierdra Inn, $40, very nice English speaking staff.

We took a tour of the chicas working the street in Zona Rosa. There were a couple of real lookers. Stopped in Fenix and there were 13 chicas, some ugly, some fat, and 3 hot ones. Picked the petite, georgeous one for 200c and had a fun filled 30 minutes. Her name is something like Meredith or Marybeth. Looks and body: 8, performance: 6. Dodger Bulldog would have loved this one.

Took the big road tour today. Luis should be a tour guide instead of a taxi driver. We did the volcano, cathedral, Pasaya thing, great $3 lunch for both of us, then back to shower and monger. We started at Morena--told Gina you sent me, GP. It is a nice setup, but all the chicas were on the large size--like major junk-in-the-trunk. Ended up at Fenix again in the late afternoon. The selection wasn´t as good, but I took a tall, light skinned chica with big hooters. Face: 8, body: 6, performance: 9, pornstar stuff.
