El Alemendro is nice. A fairly new, nice small hotel (10 rooms?). I've stayed there a couple of times. Never any problems bringing girls in. It's close to the MetroCentro, so has restaurants and other things close to it. It's a bit away from Polanco's, but not too bad.

The only breakfast I ever saw there was very continental in flavor. Coffee, juice, maybe some bread and fruit.

I don't know why you'd need a driver for the entire day. I listed a taxi driver I found on my trip last year, and he had reasonable hourly rates, or would come and pick me up for a 20-30 Cordoba ride too.

I describe Polancos as place where some couples, and some semi-pro's hang out. I'd guess half the girls in there are working. I found a delightful (mostly) non-pro there last year. I spent about 24 hours with her, and she never asked for anything more than food and drinks. I even asked her if she wanted to go shopping at the MetroCentro and she declined. No money discussion up front, and when I handed her some at the end, she just tucked it in her pocket without looking at it.

I never even checked out the strip club upstairs. If you're really uptight and need neon and fancy surroundings, it's not for you. My taxi driver said the average amount to give the downstair girls was $20.

I wish I could get back to Managua for a week this year, but given my schedule of other places, I don't think it'll happen.

*******-I don't think one night is sufficient. It's a laid back place, and not a mongering center like San Jose. I stayed for 3 or 4 days each time, and had an enjoyable time.

Probably not worth it, except to say you've been there.
Been both places and there is nothing you can see or get in Managua, especially in one day that you cannot see or find in C.R. In one day you won't be able to get out of Managua. Oddly, the clubs in Managua are more expensive than in C.R., even tho the country is MUCH poorer. Nicaragua is fun if you can take at least a few days and go see the volcanos, etc., but Managua itself is nothing special, and C.R. is generally prettier than Nicaragua. Most of the old city of Managua was destroyed by an earthquake so there is nothing much to see in the city. If you do go for just one night, stay at the Intercontinental, there are often 20 street girls on the street right outside, for $20-40 for the pretty ones.

You are going to have a great time in Nicaragua. I am envious that I will not be down at the same time you are because it sounds like you are pretty well setup for having a great trip. I use to live as an ex-pat in Managua and go back frequently on business. Since I have so many friends in the city I don’t get to go out carousing as often as I would like any more. I got to be very close long-term friends with many of the girls.

Let me first address several points from your 6/11 posting.

I have never heard of the El Almendro hotel so can’t make any comments thereon. Where is this place? It won’t do any good to give me an address as there are not any street addresses in Managua. What part of the city is it in? A rate of $45 is still considered pretty cheap in Managua so don’t be expecting anything very luxurious.

You have a great “deal” arranged for a car from 8:00 am to midnight, at only $50/day. That is much better than you can even rent the tiniest rental car …… plus you will have a driver. Take advantage of this and have your drive take you to the clubs or bars in the evenings. Do you speak Spanish? I doubt your driver will speak English.

Go ahead and go by Polanco’s if you like, but it is nothing special. First of all, it is not … and I repeat, not … dangerous. It is located out near the airport so unless you are already nearby it is not worth a special trip. The downstairs is a regular bar/dance club. It is filled with “civilians” and couples having fun, but I have never seen “a lot of good looking university students”. I think that is bad advice. Just go upstairs to the strip club. Again, it is not dangerous at all. Polanco’s is a bit dumpy and the girls aren’t anything to get excited about, but occasionally you will get lucky and find a cute one. I imagine the “in-house” prices are pretty reasonable at Polanco’s but I am also sure the short-time rooms will be pretty sparse. Though I have never been on-site with a girl at Polanco’s I am guessing they will ask for $100, but you should be able to bargain them down to around $50/hour.

Wherever you go in Managua, even up until 2-3 in the morning, you do not need a body guard. You are way over concerned about this. In 8 years, part of which living there, going all over the city by myself until 5-6 in the morning (and I am the consummate “white guy”, no way do I look like a latino), have I ever even once had a problem. And I use to spend most of my time in one of the toughest barrios in the city (Villa Venezuela). You will be fine and need not worry at all. Just don’t be stupid!

The biggest problem with Nicaragua is that the clubs with the best girls are hideously over priced. The best strip clubs in town are Hollywood and Vale Todo, and I think there a couple of newer ones. Hollywood has by far the best girls but they will ask for (and stick to) $165 for an hour in a nice back room. This is obviously ridiculous. Therefore, don’t pay it. I would recommend your first night go to Hollywood or Vale Todo (your driver will know where these are) and buy a few drinks for a girl and become her friend, providing you do speak Spanish. Then, be discrete and get her cell number and setup a meeting for the next afternoon. This is done all the time and she will probably be very willing. She will know where to meet you, or your hotel could be fine as well. I would recommend meeting her around 3 or 4 in the afternoon and she should give you a couple of hours for $60. She will initially ask you for $100, but politely talk her down. At Hollywood look for Katarine. She is a tall girl with beautiful long black hair, gorgeous lips and face. She is tall, has a tremendous chest, and if she warms up to you she is the best kisser I have ever had and absolutely tremendous in bed. If you like a tiny spinner ask for Diana. She is around 5’, tremendous tight little body, and very playful and active. Both of them will meet you the next day for some afternoon delight.

A dumpy club but with a lot of action is called Cueto Club. It is smaller and just not very fancy, but some of the girls can be pretty cute. Ask for Marta Neli. She has a killer face, loves to give blow jobs, and will absolutely fuck your brains out. She also has an incredibly cute and sweet personality. I have no idea what the prices are for in-service at this club.

If you just want to get your rocks off any time of the afternoon or night go to a bar/casa de citas called Franny’s or Fanny’s. This is located one block east of the Jazzercise Jesus Rotunda! That is a big roundabout where there is a statue of Jesus standing on the globe (I don’t know its real name, it just looks like Jesus standing on a Jazzercise ball). Your driver will know it. It is maybe 5 minutes east (arriba) of MetroCentro Mall. The place is located on the south side of the street and immediately next to a large sign that says “Llantas Kelly”. Go in side and it looks like a small, clean bar, but with several girls just lounging around. Pick one, go to a room, and do the deed. Their prices are only 400 Cordobas ($25) for a full hour. If you get the right girl this casa de citas can be a lot of fun.

Another choice is the street girls on Carratera Masaya in the evening. There are generally 20-30 girls working the street. Many of them are pretty cute, and they are all quite clean and will not rip-you-off. Just be certain before they enter your car that you confirm they are “girls”. This isn’t really a problem, but on occasion you can be fooled! Get your driver to drive slowly and look for one that you think is cute, then ask your driver to negotiate for you. Usually $20 will buy you an hour or two of full service. However, street girls will tend to try and negotiate/whine you for a lot of extras so set your price and service wanted up front. There are quite a few little one or two hour “love hotels” throughout Managua and some of them are quite clean and nice. The girls or your driver will know where to go. These rooms should cost you $15 for a couple of hours, plus maybe a couple of beers.

Sometimes you might find a diamond in the rough at some of the dumpier clubs (Casa Grande, Red Palace, Polancos, etc.). You will be completely safe at any of these even if the club looks pretty shitty.

I am jealous of your pending trip. Wish I could come along and get into trouble with you. Of course, we all want to hear every juicy, intimate detail upon your return. Have a great trip, you will love Nicaragua. I have lived and worked in virtually all of Latin America (except Brazil) and I love the Nicaraguans more than anyone else.

Advice required:

I am off to Managua for 4 days - 7/31 to 8/4 - so far I have arranged for a room at El Almendro (I asked them in the e-mail about guests - they seemed indifferent and said basically a single and a double cost the same so you get one bed and have fun).

BTW, it is USD$45 with taxes and breakfast, they said no more US$40 rate. Maybe in person, who knows?

I have hired a guide for some legit photgraphy business - an American guy with a Nicaraguan wife who knows where to go, non-mongering, and he has arranged a car and driver for arrival to departure and daily from 8 a.m. to 12 midnight for US$50 a day with gas included. While a lot for a local to earn it is no worse than a rental car and those risks.

He said his driver ( another one) said Polanco's is dodgy for gringos but the main floor is basically a lot of good looking University students, and while the driver ( I chose the "big" one) will go in with me, he won't be a bodyguard. But two guys and with their wits about them should be OK.

Sound about right?

Any other recommendations? Ihave the room, the car, the bar, the navigator, any good spots that are not US$100 a pop? All recommendations welcomed.

At CC the last night, her name was Xochil. I wouldn't have spelled it that way, but she wrote it down..wants me to call her...the next time I am in town...I am not sure I will. There are many available of her caliber...Actually I would have gone back to Casa Grande and gotten the young little spinner I wrote about two nights before, but she told me that her period was on its way, and I knew that by 2 nights later, the river would be running...this little chick, her name is Ana doesn't dance (strip). Is dressed in a standard blouse and short skirt, a lot like a waitress, but she was the one with the ice cube technique and quite a good lay...very much into it...she offered her cell as well, but I was a little more inebriated that night and didn't get it...so if I want to do her next trip I will have to go to Casa and pay the fees...otherwise she would be ripe to meet outside the club...

Yes, these were the only two places I went...had too much business the middle night. To answer your other question, yes they have rooms in CC; no, they aren't great, but the bed was large enough and it had a little shower. I don't want to give away how low I might have gone in different parts of latin america, but CC isn't the worse environment in which I have found myself...but, the better deal is probably to haul them out, like I did the first time I went there...I also found out during this trip that the waitresses are game too...I found this out too late, as there was one I kinda had my eye one, and found out after talking to the one I did that they are open for deals as well..something to keep in mind...

I will be back in Managua in a couple of months...maybe I can try something else on that trip...

Tell us more about your session at CC. What was the name of the "large" young lady you spent time with? Where did you take her? Are there rooms on-site or did you have to leave the club? If the rooms are on-site, yikes! I can't believe any on-site rooms at that dump can be much more than a bed in a bare room with a bare bulb overhead. Don't walk on the floor barefoot!

I would love to hear more info on your overall trip. Were the trips to CC and Casa Grande your only "outings" in Managua? I don't know anything about extasis.com. As a matter of fact, I have never even heard of it or noticed it. I will check it out on my next trip down and report what I learn.

I just now noticed the quick report from Polepole99 on "27 de Mayo". Polepole ... you are too kind. Isn't that place a total hoot? A bit of a creepy hoot, but one has to do the place so as to say he did. I think I'll go back on my next trip for a couple of beers and a BJ with a chubby, ugly chic, probably all of $10!

Monaghan...what is the deal with extasis.com, right along the road there with red palace and other places? I don't recall seeing a report on here about that place...is it like red palace? I ended up going to CC's, but couldn't find anything there really exciting....was drunk enough to work one over....she was pretty good, begged me to call her the next time I was in Managua...she was a pretty big girl, but nice and very accomodating...

There definitely are some diamonds in the rough and some diamonds in plain sight in Managua; I really like how many of them are good at the deed; just sorta enjoy getting off it one accomodates them; reminds me of Ticas as well..

All for now; won't be back there for a couple of months, will be in DF in middle June and El Salavador the end of. In DF I have something lined up from the private sector, an older lady I met during my last time out so don't have to pay for play this time.

I loved your last report, however, I was dieing laughing as I read it. First, I didn't realize that CC stood for Cueto Club. I know that place well as I use to date a girl from there. She is really sweet and I found her over the years to be one of those you could really fall for. And wow, was she ever great in bed. I'll bet she is still there. Ask for Marta Neli. Overall though, I find Cueto Club a total dump!

Only surpassed in "dumpness" by the world renown, Casa Grande. Aren't their rooms awful! Casa Grande is a vintage, low-budget Nicaraguan strip club/bordello. If you don't speak spanish you need not even enter the place. As a matter of fact, I love these dumpy, grundgy places. Casa Grande is really hit or miss. There might be a diamond there (like the one you found), but the odds are generally against it. The absolute worse lay of my entire life was with a little spinner at Casa Grande. So bad it was memorable.

If you like cruising the dumpy strip club/bordellos, head over to the absolute worse place in all of CenAm, 27 de Mayo. Any cab driver will know the place. Only a block or two from Estadio Denis Martinez. It is so raunchy that it is "schmaltz"! It is an icon and must be done merely to say you have been there. Kind of the antithesis of a "trophy fuck".

Enjoy, I am jealous you are down in the promised land.

Oh yeah, the ice cube bit is great. The girls generally go nuts with it. I wonder if it is a Nicaraguan thing?

Wow the ice cube trick brought back a old memory. On a boat once with 5-6 guys and the same amt strippers from a club (California). It was a business trip obviously. The strippers were mainly there to make conversation and look pretty, which was no problem for them. One I had seen a lot at the club and tipped often. 3 of us guys, and her were up on the fly bridge with the captain hired to drive the boat, this young lady had been drinking fairly well and it was getting late, and dark. Her and I were playing grab ass in the dark while I was talking with the guys. They knew we were playing, but it was dark enough to maintain some type of modesty. All of a sudden she sucked up all the ice in her drink and I found her head in my lap and more, wow, the cold had an interesting effect as she.

Monaghan: I found out from a taxi driver the scoop on CC's. It stands for Cueto Club (like cuete, only with o) He drove me by it last night, and it is on a main street. He called it puente something...anyway, bright neon CC out front, any taxi driver should be able to find it. I am thinking about visiting tonight to see if I find anything again...

This taxi driver took me to la Casa Grande...only about 6 chicks, but it was early....I made it with a young one (20), really nice body, and very friendly, her name was Ana..would recommend her to anyone....she had a new trick I had never experienced before...was DATY when she asked me if I wanted an ice cube and reached down and stuck one in my mouth....have you ever tried that before? I figured she wanted to feel the cube from time to time so I pushed it up with my tongue to her clit and then retracted it, and then even pushed it inside her a bit and then retracted it back, repeated a few times till it melted away...she moaned and gyrated even more, so I figured she liked it, since she didn{t have me stopped any of that at all...just thought the mongers here would enjoy hearing that, if they didn't already have it in their repetoire..

One note about Casa Grande..they wouln't let me buy her into the room until I had purchased 6 drinks for her (she talked them down to 5). Evidently this is a new rule, used to be 1 as minimum...the drinks for her were 50 cords, so that was 300 ($20). She cost me 300, plus 150 for the room, another $30, so it was $50 total...she was willing to exchange phone numbers for a daytime rendevous, but I am not available, so I passed...she was every bit worth the $30, and if one can justify the $20 to get her a bit of a buzz, then it was even better...I have paid more and gotten less and paid less and gotten less.. I really couldn't complain at all....my beers only cost me 20 cords ($1.33) each, so hell, I could have been someplace else and paid the equivalent in some higher drink prices for me...it all comes out...I slept like a baby...

Hi Folks,

A place that has not been mentioned yet is the "Nightclub 27 de mayo" in an area called reparto de carmen. That's pretty close to the old city centre.

The place is a strip club where the locals go. I was there one night last week and there was no other foreigner. The club seems to be fairly cheap. There's no cover charge or minimum consumption. And the drinks are fairly priced.

The girls on stage where rather 3 - 5 on the usual 1 - 10 scale. Almost better than the show on stage were the private activities that some guys were getting from the girls around. I was also approached imediately by a girl but I didn't persue it further - so no details on prices. But judging from the environment prices should be well under polankos and lips.

Anyone with more information on the place?
