No one is comparing Nicaragua to Asia, at least not me.

Personally I found it easier to learn Spanish then to fly half way round the World for cheap poon.

The last LT GFE I had in Managua stayed 48 hours with me, when she left I tucked a $20 bill in her pocket, she handed it back, saying she was no Puta. Sure I fed her for 2 days, but it was 2 days of sex instead of 2 days in an airplane.

$30 is the long time price in Phnom Phen. I guess the costs will be at least 5x of that in Managua + without Spanish you won't be able to communicate with the girl. No problem in Asia.

Been lurking for years, never felt that I had much to add to the forums so I stayed on the sidelines. I have seen more and more interest in Nicaragua as a destination (maybe MeatLoaf made it famous), decided I would finally sign up and throw out my 2 cents.

I visit Managua (MGA) frequently and while I don't think it will ever top anyone's list of World Class destinations, there is fun to be had. For the old hands I doubt much of what I have to post will come in handy, but I am sure we could exchange plenty of stories.

Here is some general information to keep in mind, Nicaragua is the 2nd poorest country in the Hemisphere (behind Haiti). MGA was leveled in the early 70's by a massive earthquake (interesting bit of trivia, Howard Hughes was living in what is now the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza at the time of the quake). There are few street addresses, directions are given by landmarks, some of which were destroyed in the quake, don't try to figure it out, just know that is how it is. Do not expect everyone to speak some English. Read up on MGA before visiting, know the landmarks and have at least a basic understanding for the lay of the land, a little research will come in handy later on. The currency is the Cordoba currently exchanging at around 21 Cordoba to the US Dollar. Travelers Checks are a huge pain in the ass. Credit Cards are widely excepted. Cash is King.

The airport is straightforward, sometimes your bags will get searched, no big deal. For a first timer in MGA I would recommend arranging airport pick-up through your hotel, it will be worth the little extra you pay, if you do not speak some Spanish I would highly recommend it. At the airport you can buy a cell phone, or anyplace else for that matter, a wise investment at under $30, it will quickly pay for itself.

MGA itself is not the most dangerous place in the World, but it is not the safest either. Taxi robberies seem to be on the rise, this crime is not only against foreigners, but foreigners do make attractive targets. Keep this in mind if you are out drinking late at night, keep your wits and you will be fine.

MGA hotels run the gamut, for a first timer I think the Christo Rey would be ideal, a few posts here about it, a block from the World Famous Fenix. Those with some Spanish or repeat visitors may want something more off the beaten path.

MGA Putarias run the gamut as well. MeatLoaf has certainly entertained you with his tales of the local joints, if this is your first trip get those places out of your mind, unless you are adventurous and speak the language you are asking for trouble. Fenix, Caribbean Moreno, and a few of the others you read about here will keep you busy.

Semi-Pros, on weekends check out clubs, the "hot spots" are always changing so ask around. The Matrix club directly across from the Hilton is usually a safe bet for the late crowd.

Non-Pros, this is where it gets tricky, without language skills it can be tough, with Spanish the World is your oyster, start talking to women before boarding the plane and keep on doing it once you land, with little or no game you will soon have a novia (girlfriend), maybe a few. Without Spanish it is still possible, but more work.

Short term, Fenix is $15 for 1/2 hour, that includes room and condom. Go during the day your first time to get acquainted with the place, my last trip there were maybe 15 girls, one other patron besides myself, at times like that you can chat up the ladies, no one is in a rush. The place is supposedly open 24hrs a day, no idea if that is true. Fenix is probably the most visited by foreigners as it is easy to locate and widely known, that said I have only seen gringos in there 1 time, the place is by no means overrun with gringos. Beers are 30 Cordobas, no idea about ladies drinks, they really don't hassle you. The ladies will probably not approach you, last visit they were all on a long couch, you could go over and sit amongst them as there was little business or call one over for a closer inspection. This is not a high pressure place, at least it never has been for me. I have been in the place a few times when it was busy, but the ladies have almost always outnumbered the men, in my experience. The place is a continuous construction zone and every visit looks different, the rooms have improved over the years, plenty of mirrors on the walls and ceilings if that is your thing. No idea about photos or extras, but I believe everything is negotiable. The other well known clubs are along the same lines, no need to detail them. The sessions are usually CBJ and whatever variety of positions you desire. Selection is usually pretty good, a nice mix, something for everyone. I have seen some real stunners in Fenix.

Long term, no doubt you can arrange with one of the girls from the clubs, just no idea on costs.

GFE, possible but maybe you will not to carry to the level Mr Loaf did, but it is certainly possible if you speak the language. At this point you are going to need some Spanish, or you need to think outside the box. Several Universities call MGA home, some University students speak English, get it, these are also the women who are most likely to not have children at home. Friday afternoons at hangouts around campus can provide an interesting opportunity for those with a little game (and some disposable income).

Nicaragua is like most Latin American countries in that the women usually live at home and start breeding at an early age, so the usual problems when trying to arrange an overnight stay, keep that in mind.

Safety is always an issue, many of these girls will steal from you, know that, when they come to your room you better have anything of value locked up or hidden. First timers start looking for a dependable taxi man the minute you hit the ground, at your hotel someone will know a driver, figure $7-$10 an hour.

The Managua Thread really has some great info and I don't think I have added much new information, maybe just a different perspective.

I need a hotel close to the night life and in a USD 100/night budget.
