I'm looking to vacation in Panama for just over a week, around Christmas time. I've read a little bit about Panama on here, and a lot on general travel sites, but want on towns and cities so I don't have to read about places I won't get to. Help would be very much appreciated.

Are chicas in short supply on Christmas or immediately before / after?

Will accommodations be in short supply, do businesses close down and for how many days?

I plan to visit a bunch of landmarks both because I like to see new cultures (never been to Latin America), and to have things to report to folks at home.

Most importantly, which cities and towns should I stay in to guarantee no lonely nights? (What's the best way to find girls who can hang out and how much would that be?) I will RTFF on those places.

FWIW, I'm trying to learn Spanish because I want to see other places in LatAm, but it's very basic at this point.

Christmas in all countries is a difficult time. Most girls go back to Colombia or their countries and the few here tend to be melancholic remembering their families. The ones that do work during those days are the real pros. I used to have many contacts, but the fuckin covid messed everything up everywhere. I can start scouting the area and see what is the talent available, perhaps some of my friends are still around. If you want girls to hang out, is going to cost you, many of them want to charge by the hour just to hang out with you.

For cities / town, stay in the capital. There are some playgrounds in the provinces but with limited Spanish and the covid influence, is going to be hard. Also, a word of advice, try to check the news regarding Panama every now and then. There is a possibility that we might go into full lockdown very soon as the infection rate is climbing up again.

Planning on staying at Panama Marriott. Read there are no chica fees, but it's been a long time. Frankly, not worried about $40 if that is the case. Will report back! Anyone else got a trip planned?

Unfortunately, we never got the opportunity to experience the stay at the hotel. Because, after hearing the bad reviews of the hotel and the area it was located in from our taxi driver, on the ride from the airport, we decided to cancel and look for another hotel. We were told that this area of the city is not a good area. And that this particular hotel was regularly frequented by local prostitutes. NOT A GOOD SIGN! My advice: Stay away!

I generally agree with that TeaTime answered you. Tourism is down again this year MIGHT be worth you while to negociate YMMV.

Never partook but I see a couple of Tg ladies on the sidewalk looking for business on calle Eusebio A, Morales just after the 3 sports bars and pubs on your right. (300 meters from the Veneto +/.

Not my style but I am sure they exist elsewhere in the city.

Some general info.

Okay. I bit the bullet. I am heading to Panama for this upcoming long 4th of July weekend. I have reads many posts here and have some questions and conclusions which I would like to have answered before I leave for paradise.

1. Taxi Cabs I hear they can be a rip-off but if I use Uber all the time, no problem, right?

Uber is great and no problem for me on multiple trips. Also cheap and no crappy negotiation or crappy car.

2. WingMen I see many guys here are hooking up with other guys as their wingman. I am essentially a loner. For a non-Spanish speaker I am assuming being a lone wolf on the prowl will not work to my detriment. Right? Am I missing something?

You will have no problem being alone.

3. Rates. The basic rate is $100 you can always pay higher but that should be the going rate for an hour or two with a lady of the night. Late hour and earlier in the day can sometimes be a bargain price. Do I have this right? I see no standard overnight rates I am guessing something in the neighborhood of $300?

Never done an all nighter but $100 will get you laid. The only decision you may have to make is if there is a girl that is off the charts beautiful and won't budge from $150. Is there a chance you can negotiate her down. Yes. You also have to be prepared to watch her walk away with some other dude.

4. Hotel. I am staying at the Hyatt so no "guest" fee problems.

Hyatt is great and no guest problems.

5. Central Base. If I concentrate on the Veneto Casino and Habanos I pretty much can't go wrong. Si?

Habano's is closest and has more talent but sometimes a trip to Veneto is needed to see what else is on the market.

6. Rip-Offs. The massage places and the strip clubs are rip-offs. Am I correct in saying that?

Have not spent any time in the big parlors but it sounds like you usually get what you pay for. Others may have more info on this.

7. STDs. No one mentions STDs and it sounds like absent some urging, condoms are always in use. In general, are these girls pretty disease fee or is that being naive?

If you wear a condom then this should not be an issue. Bareback of course brings in a higher risk.

8. True or False If I dress up a little and not look like a back-packer or a beach bum I will attract a better quality and class of women. Although maybe at a price.

I usually dress nice to go out to dinner but the girls are after your cash so in the end if you wander over to Habano's in shorts, t-shirt and flip flops you can walk out with the same girl.

9. Theft. I see almost no commentary on the theft of money from any of the girls or any other kind of shakedown activities. Is that because it is virtually non-existent? I plan on bringing cash and keeping most of it in the room safe in my Hyatt room I don't want to be walking around with 4 5 days worth of cash in my pockets at any given time. Comments?

I am sure it happens however you are protected a little bit when they take the passport copy at the front desk. My pattern is I let the girl jump in the shower and while she is in there I lock everything except the agreed upon amount in the safe. Then I stroll in and join her in the shower.

10. Non Espanol. I speak hardly any Spanish at all and although that may be awkward at times the language of love and money controls. Si?

I know 10 words of Spanish so this will not inhibit you much at all. There are usually several girls who speak English if this is something you like.

11. Bad Neighborhoods. Any bad or really bad neighborhoods in Panama to absolutely avoid if I go wandering off?

Generally it is easy to stay out of bad areas. Around Hyatt / Habano's / Veneto I have always felt safe day or night. Casco Viejo is also safe but do not wander out of the main tourist areas.

13. Backpage, etc. All of these sites run the usual risk that the pics may not be the real product and they are not to be used or relied on. A fair statement?

I am out on a short trip to Panama next week and I would like to try using airbnb instead of my go to Hyatt place -since the stay is a longer one. I have RTFF and there were mentions about airbnb usage near Casco -but I would really like to get some specific property details from folks that stayed and used airbnb for mongering. According to a TripAdvisor review, the Principe Hotel charges a 20$ chica fee.
