I really did not see anything close to the malecon but in the afternoon around hotel andy, around hotel Berlin around parque victoria there are decent sw options. But the best is definitly la 18 (2 chongos) with a lot of girls. Outside la 18, I did not see SW on salinas but a lot on milagros to right of la 18.

Weather or not Guayaquil is the best place to monger is a preference but I have said this ounce and I will say it again prostitution as a trade is safe legal and regulated and affordable most chongos costs less than 20 so why pick up SW or advocate for it is beyond my comprehension.

I can tell a lot of these establishments are close Spa del Amor closed permanently the owner got married, Vikingos is now a restaurant and it will remain so since the lost their permits and are not renewing.

Just came back from SEA Asia and East Asia trip where I visit all kinds "chongos", and I was somehow expecting to see the same here in Guayaquil, not luck at all. Anyway, I just read your post and didn't know about this "bars" where you can find ladies (Thai Style), too bad there is not good quality in the bars, I have found that the best quality is found in the spa.

I just miss the night in BKK where you can walk street after street and there is always some kind of bar / spa / restaurant / lounge / strip place.

Working from WorldTravel's excellent list and map, here is what I found on a walking tour of downtown bars. La Bambina is on Rendon (a / k / a Calle 2 N) between Riobamba and Ximena, on the south side. It is open from 6 pm to 12 am Monday to Saturday. There were 6 fat and not at all attractive women sitting waiting for customers. No cover charge, about $2 for a beer. I did not bother asking girl prices; they do not have on-site rooms.

Next stop was Salome. It has no sign but the loud music (when it's open) gives it away. It's on the north side of Riobamba between Rendon and Junin. HOWEVER, signs and announcements said they will relocate July 18 to Quito 1009 near Velez (near SW corner of Parque Centenario) for about 90 days while they renovate. Salome is great. It is open 6 pm to 12 am Monday to Saturday and has on-site rooms upstairs with toilet and shower (very basic, no towels.) I was charged $4 entry which included a beer..

This place has been closed in years probably got the info from an add years ago know the owner personally, this place has been closed the last 6 years WTF.

There seemed to be another option because the place was packed with guys, perhaps 50, most with no beers in hand. There were also about 25 girls, and quality was high. There was a stage with a pole and a strip show. The best part is that a session with a girl costs $18. This price-quality ratio is among the best I have ever seen anywhere, great deal for $22 total. One chica told me that they can go to nearby hotels / motels only, paying $20 barfine and she would have asked for $100 additional. Takeout much pricier than in-house, but probably depends on the chica.

I took a quick look at Boricua, on Junin between Riobamba and Rumichaca. Girls looked OK, about 10 present, but outnumbered by guys. There was no cover charge, but I did not get chica prices. Could not tell whether they have on-site rooms. Finally, El Barrio, on Rumichaca, near corner of Rendon, had just 2 or 3 very average looking girls, so I did not get hours or prices, although I suspect prices are similar to the other 3.

Finally, I made a quick stop at Odisea Romana, a strip club with $10 cover charge, which has no sign and is on the west side of Panama between Junin and Rendon. It was too early so I did not go in. May report intel on this place later.

Juniors is open - $17 cover charge but then I was not charged for 3 beers. Open bar? But bartender expects tips. Girls offer $5 table dance, or $20 for 20-30 minutes dance in somewhat private room behind curtain, but no sex. Barfine is $20. One girl asked for total of $100, another asked $60, so presumably $40 for her. They claim to have 40 girls employed, I counted 10 on a Tuesday. Hours are 8:30 pm to 12 midnight M-W, 8:30 to 2 am Th-Sat, closed Sunday. You can avoid the barfine by taking the girl out at closing time, to your hotel or a motel. Address is Victor Emilio Estrada 597. Taxis know the place.

This is a great resource, now if the addresses can be verified by someone on the ground, that would be better. It seems that these places come and go.

I met WorldTravel69 in Managua a few years ago and I printed out his list a couple of days before he arrived and started hunting some of the places down. Most were open, a few were shut down. When he got there, I compared my notes with him. Then we both went out and hunted down the places on the list.

I met him again in Quito last June and we were both on the hunt with the list. I hunted by night, and he hunted by night. By the time both of us were done, we had a solid list.

The point is, others, including you, could help the entire monger community, if everyone did their part doing a bit of searching and verifying the places on the list.

WorldTravel69 works and updates many lists in Central and South America. I personally thank him for his effort and I'm always willing to go on the hunt and provide feedback to help him update his lists.
