Only a digital copy. A photocopy could be an option as well. Losing my passport far outweighs the hassle of not having a real passport on my body. FYI never been asked for a passport in over 4 years living in Pattaya and Bangkok.

As for CH did all the Asians look young and the Farangs look old or are you saying even 50 year old Asians were checked and 20 year old Farang were not. I'd just walk away of any gogo bar asked me for my passport. Never seen any bar I've been at in Thailand ever asking to see a passport though.

So definitely not a safe recreation.

I read that you cannot buy poppers in Thailand and is banned. So not legal. Not worth the risk I am sure.
I am not guy or a girl in a PSE shop (though your comment did make me giggle). I'm sure heavy use of poppers is seriously not a good idea. But the are excellent for short heightened enjoyment of sex. They are on sale in Spain, Germany, UK, USA, Australia without any restriction or prescription. A lot of things are dangerous if used excessively. I don't use poppers more than a couple of times a month but if you find a girl you click with they inject great fun.

But given the apparent lack of knowledge about them being legal or not in Thailand from senior members of this forum, I agree it is just not worth the risk and will skip. They aren't that important but a shame. Bit like saying thin condoms are illegal. You can still have a lot of fun without them but perhaps more fun with them.

Have you actually experienced Police coming and pee testing everyone? I never saw it in many years. Police raids are more commonly concerned about several things: Underage girls, girls not Thai citizens, perhaps drugs found on them, Yaa Baa (Yaba) or Ice, and perhaps testing girls that seem spaced out. Would they really test all the customers too?

One guy I knew, took on a girl addicted to Ice, no clue why he accepted this, since she was total unsuitable, far too young and untrustworthy. He admitted to trying it himself, so he would know what it is like. Subsequently she would steal his valuables. E. g. Phone, and sell them to finance her drug purchases. As if he would not know this would be likely. Idiot. Eventually he died probably prematurely.

Poppers are not Amphetamines like speed etc. Obviously don't want to take ANY risks at all. So likely just to skip it but have read some reports on the net about this not being an issue. Would be great to get some clarity without which. As you say. No point in taking any chance.

Naturally rental and utilities is a part of the cost of living. Even in Baht money, the cost for a bowl of noodles on a street stall has gone up a lot or the bowl shrunk to such an extent that more than 1 bowl is needed. Cost of buying fruit from street cart or grilled chicken has certainly jumped up over the years too. Fuel costs much more than it used to. Even Thais complain a lot about rise of cost of gas for cooking jumped a lot when Yingluck came to power (before Baht was so strong), affecting heavily even the poor rural folk. However they don't complain about candidates handing out 1000 Baht to vote for them. Jump in for that. I don't see Prayut has done much about corruption at all. Its all improving the Image for him, is my impression. Real improvements not really.

Nutjobs are an occupational hazard unfortunately working girls have to contend with. They are out there for sure, some even appear on the forum from time to time. Girls need to take whatever precautions they can. Working in oilies and soapies or as booked excorts where the customer is exposed gives them a certain degree of safety but working the streets and the bars exposes them to the greatest danger. While even one experience is enough for a girl to quit the business I get the impression the abuse is relatively occasional. Hopefully so.

If they have to get enough money to support poor parents, sisters, and try to have the child get a decent education (unlike the mother), then the low level jobs are not going to pay enough. Many are single mothers. No husband to help out. If she is at all good looking, hooking becomes an option, even if part time. Could hope to hook a sponsor.

I know a young Lao girl like this, pretty and would love me to be her old sugar daddy, but I have a Mrs already. Her financial struggles are severe. She needs an operation but can't afford it (at least so I heard). Probably 100 K baht or more. Hard for her to hook a good guy when she has no English. Her brother is stuck in prison with medical problems, from dealing drugs most likely (she does not know or tell. But guys don't have the hooking option). Meanwhile the levels of customers in the MPs and bars, etc. Are quite low. I heard from more than one MP girl, can go several days with no customer. Same for bar girls not getting a customer every day, especially those with poor English.

If the girl had English, she could probably do very well standing on Soi 4 because hers looks are superior. Probably needs to use smart phone to translate messages similar to what the deaf girls do.

I just give example of girl whose health is not the best and education very poor, and her work options to make money to save for operation are quite limited. Also she is just not used to working really hard. Tires easily. .
A sad tale and so typical. Seems a sweet girl. One can only hope her looks and personality are enough to catch somebody's attention but as you mention her lack of English makes that less likely. Perhaps a mention on ISG on how to meet up with her would help her out.

She tried learning fingernail care (but I don't see that as having much earning potential). She tried being a waitress but was too demanding based on the physical health. I advised to try to learn English quickly and hook a rich Farang sponsor. Can't see any other way out for her future. She is a really nice enthusiastic fuck and good looking. That is one plus. Her circumstances are extremely shitty.

Or to choose Thailand over China in the first place. But this current politically motivated tariff and trade war declared by the USA added a big paddle on the butts of companies to do it sooner, faster and in greater numbers.

As to her family members having jobs from Chinese relocated businesses this will only happen if the new factories are situated close to where they live. Its possible incentives will lure then to Essan but supply chain and logistic infrastructure will be more important making the EEC more suitable.

I would agree increased job opportunities influences the number of working girls available, the question becomes by how much. There are other factors at play. Increasing numbers of girls working abroad, more girls not lured by the easy money wanting instead to get a degree and pursue a career and quite possibly more girls better understanding that selling sex is maybe not such a smart choice to make.

The cost of grilled chicken and deep fried chicken has risen a lot, even carts selling fruit seem pricey. Could be the Sukhumvit tourist area has much higher prices as vendors may pay a lot for their spot on a touristy street. I can still buy some veg at the Supermarket in the province cheaply. 3 large carrots cost me just under 8 Baht. Wow! Raw chicken pieces were about 67 Baht per Kilo. I cooked it myself.

Its a terrible exchange rate hurting me most these days.
The price of carrots wasn't mentioned. And if you leave the farang ghetto once in a while, prices are the same. And I wasn't talking about the food in termae, I was mentioning the fact that you're drinking there went up to 10 baht. Is that why you don't like the place?

The exchange rate doesn't hurt me. In fact, if it was 10 b to the buck, it wouldn't matter in the slightest.

The food has always been decent and cheap in thermae by the way.
