My next trip to Thailand will be EVA Air through Taiwan.

Depends on how well you sleep on planes. If you can sleep well on planes, then yes getting there at 6 PM would be better. If you are like me and can't sleep on planes then it doesn't matter because you will be dead tired when you arrive. Stay away from Ambian sleeping pills if you plan on partying when you arrive. I did that once and even though it had been 20 hours from the time I took the sleeping pill until I started drinking I had an "incident" early the next morning. Woke up standing in the hall in my underwear. It is funny now but it wasn't then. Another thing you might want to consider is that Emirates flies over Russian airspace. Found this out last month when I flew from Dubai to Houston. Have fun.

Hi folks,

I was wondering if anyone could opine on traveling from the East Coast of the USA to BKK, and whether they preferred to go east through Dubai on Emirates or West on Korean Air through Seoul. Travel time is roughly the same, Expedia says 20 h 10 m on Emirates and 21 h 40 m through Seoul, with Seoul having a slightly tighter connection. It feels like it would be better to be there a little bit earlier, the Emirates arrival time is 6:40 pm versus 9:30 pm, but I have no idea what you will feel like when you get off the flight. Do you just want to go to bed, or are you up and ready for dinner and a night on the town? Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

With the recent legalisation of cannabis for personal use, is there / would there be any problem taking a personal supply on a domestic flight? I would imagine not but I am thinking of the security scans and so on.

Also, could I get some input on reliable retailers and typical prices?

There won't be a problem bringing any with you on a domestic flight as possession is legal.

thaiweedguide.com is fairly comprehensive on retailers all over Thailand, not just in Bangkok.

As for prices, they are sky high at the moment as production hasn't got into the industrial scale yet. Expect them to drop in around six month's time. Currently, your average strain is around 600-750 baht per gram.

What do you mean? When I left the airplane there were airport employees at the arrival gate who asked every passenger to show their Thalland Pass. We only had to show it, nothing else.
Then I could walk to immigration where I had to handover my passport, boarding pass, Thailand Pass and proof of vaccination. The officer did not ask for my insurance.
So it all takes only a little bit more time than usual, because immigration has to check some extra documents, but almost every desk was open, and the lines were not long.
Two hours after touchdown I was in my hotel. This was on a Sunday afternoon.
