Hey all does anyone have any recommendations on 3 or 4 star hotels in Roma Nt that are guest friendly? I'm looking to stay in a nice area where it'll be easier to walk around and such during a short 3 night stay.

Amigos. Finally, got an opportunity to visit CDMX for 3 days. I went through this forum to find out Tijuana kind of Clubs (HK, AB, Chicago etc.), but did not find any. Are there any in CDMX? Or is it like street or agencies type only. What are the recommendations. What is the best hotel to stay?? I have whole Friday / Saturday / Sunday. Thank You.

I stayed at Hotel Kali Escandon in Condessa, and Hotel EuroStars Zona Rosa for 3 nights each last month. I liked them both, both guest friendly hotels. Decor, lobby area, and the rooms at Kali Escandon were better. A bit of a walk north towards Parque Mexico where there's lots of artisanal bakeries, coffee shops, restaurants.

Eurostars is slightly better location wise. Very walkable area, right next to Avenue Paseo de la Reforma, where you can get on the hop on hop off Turibus (which has 4 routes I think and 150 pesos day pass, Saturday or Sunday should be a good day to get on the TuriBus). You'll find good restaurants, bars and coffee shops, on the other side of Paseo de la Reforma from Eurostars as well. One downside about Eurostars hotel- it is adjacent to a loud party street, and the music doesn't stop til late late night.

IMO three days nearly not enough for CDMX, need atleast 4-6 days. To go out to restaurants, do some sight seeing, make sexy time.

Flew here on a redye on Friday night, landed Saturday morning.

Currency exchange.

Brought some pesos that I exchanged at my bank beforehand, also exchanged some more dollars for pesos at the airport. And have seen a bunch of currency exchange places close to my hotel in Zona Rosa. Airport and the shops got very similar exchange rate 19.1 to 1. The exchange rate at my bank was slightly better. I did see a shop advertising 19.85/19.95 buy sell spread in Zona Rosa, but have not tried exchanging there.

Didi app.

Been using the Didi app to get around, and been paying the driver in cash. Great value. Ride from the airport to the hotel in Zona Rosa was 110 pesos + tip.

Hotel.

Eurostars zona rosa suites. Good, clean room and common areas. Was able to check in around 8 am, without an early check in fee. No problem bringing guests up to your room. Had an outcall from twitter yesterday- I thought she would notify me upon arrival to come outside to walk her in. She got to the front desk, and the receptionist called me to see if I was expecting company, and then they sent her up. One downside of this hotel: it is in a loud party zone- Zona Rosa / gay district, and the music doesn't stop till late late. The area overall is safe and good, very walkable many restaurants, Oxxo's, 7-11's, corner Marts. Area is not that English friendly, but I can get by with my basic Spanish level- A2 survival, but not quite conversational.
