Colombo massage parlours (spas)

In Today's HitAds (Sep 13, 2020) I saw few Spas advertising. Does this mean Spa scene in Colombo is inching back to normal?

Has anybody in this forum actually visited these Spas? If yes, What is the reality?

Most of the Spas that we knew and loved have more or less closed for good, to probably to never to open again. Some who have opened on the sly have converted to foot spas and are operating as that. Maybe this is a guise to get over any restrictions imposed after the lock down. Not been to any of them so I can't say what is on offer etc. Will report if I do. Until then stay safe and keep exploring!

Its sad to notice that some of the spas are closing up for good. Yesterday when I was coming I saw that the popular one at embuldeniya had closed up (boards removed) and many in thalawathugoda. There is one spa that is open everyday in the nights (after about 7 pm) the one in an upstairs where the grocery is near the child protection authority. I also saw that Tranquil Spa has changed their Board to say "Foot Spa". Perhaps that's a disguise. - DC.

They may have got a go ahead bcoz last few days I saw several SPAs in Bataramulla, Pelawatta, Thalawathugoda area opened with their OPEN lights on.

At Dushan, you correct, Even one is there on the be. Mulla junction with lights on.

There have been lots of raids after government change, That and having to payoff large sum of money for survival are the reasons, most spas are closed yet.

I saw Lotus in havelock and another in Antonys Col 03 opened. Is this means spas are officially opened?

Officially no Spa or Massage parlor is open as of now. But those establishments that offered more than the average service, such as extras with FS are now open on the sly. The legit spas that did not offer anything more than a shake with their service, remain closed. Don't know when those will open. Hope this helps those who are looking to venture out sometime soon.

Yes. I totally agree and I suppose there never was an "official" opening at anytime TBH.

Now most of the spas are open for public, but I highly doubt about legitimate factor of those. Some are secretly opened for the regular customers.

Two days ago malika aka 'mali' ('famous girl from kandy who worked in arovin some time ago') , said last week there were four raids occurred at the same day near rajagiriya & thalawatugoda areas. And girls were sent to the quarantine and all customers were taken into custody and was only to be released after a family member or a guardian showed up.

Still there is a huge risk of visiting those publicly opened spas. In previous raids normally customers were released, only the working girls and manager was taken into the custody.

But seems like things are getting changed dramatically after the government change.

I fear this would continue further and even after the corona outbreak period.
