First off, welcome to Sri Lanka. Most of the spas in Sri Lanka are exactly what you described. The service is pathetic. Everyone is looking to make a quick buck and you'd be walking out in disappointment. I find the best option is to book a girl and then have fun inside a hotel as opposed to going to spas. Sea View Spa is good, but the price is steep. It has the same type of portions and a common bathroom but standards are much better compared to most spas.

It has a luxury room also, but I haven't tried it so cannot comment on it.
