    AirBnb Parque La Carolina

Iqon building (new and very trendy look) stayed there for a few nights not chica friendly but I had no problems with having friends over. Just need to dress well. Area is pretty high end. Also was there for the start of "founders day Quito". Technically it was a few days later but the party starts on the weekend before.

    Hilton Colon Quito

Not guest friendly but busy enough that you can come in with a girl as long as she is not looking like a hooker.

    Airport area

2 hotels that may not be guest friendly but I have not had any problems. Close to the airport (also known as the Valley).

    Hostal Mariscal Sucre.

Hotel Rincon De Puembo, BW Signature Collection.

This works for a good day use if you have a few hours layover since getting into Quito from the airport you can burn an HR each way. Hostal Mariscal Sucre.

    New. Hotel Ibis Quito

Just S of the tunnel and just and of Plaza Foch not guest friendly, but place is big enough and busy enough that you can walk in with your date and not get questioned. Plus its a pretty new place.

I walked past the Hotel Ricks location last night on Carrion & Victoria but couldn't remember the exact address. There was one called Hostal Hoja's. Reassuring thing is that there are plenty of cheap non-gringo places in Reina Victoria and Leon Mera. Most of them won't have neon Internet listings. It is like this in many South American cities. Gringos complain about the cost and availability but if you are happy to travel like locals do there's not a problem. Ecuador seems ideal for travelling light and just turning up at one of these places a few yards from the action offers a good bet. Some SWs out last night but the only one I saw that looked doable had the druggie jitters.

    "GF" and taking girls back

A general rule is, check if you are paying per room or per person. If it is per person, you might reasonably need to pay extra (some places have a strict policy on 'guests' which makes it poor value if it's a quickie with an SW.) Many will at least expect you to sign her in. There's enough crime to make that only sensible. Look at the style and think, if I took my family here, how would I feel about seeing guests bringing this WG(s) back. Many of the WGs look exactly like what they are. If she's presentable and not a known WG it's easier. (This is for newbies to south america reading this, not teaching anyone to suck eggs, and make sure your *room* is GF-friendly, ie nothing worth stealing accessible, keep your keys on you, don't leave your drink with her while you go to the bathroom etc etc). Enjoy.

    Gringos

I walked around last night also. I only heard Spanish locals, not one word of English. Some French.

I suggest mongers rent an apartment from Airbnb; just my 2 cents, seeing how we pay in US dollars and cents over here.

Not the best place, but it is close enough to everything need. I walk to all the the places in Gringoland (New Town). I have not seen one Gringo, all this for $25.
