Yeah, this is the restaurant I've got marked down to check out on my next visit. Have heard mostly rave reviews. It's a new restaurant in the Zona Rio area right?

Also I'm still nervous to try some of the smaller Chinese places since I still remember the problem that they had a few years ago with lots of them using dog meat.
    Chans is EXCELLENT.

This is an interesting difference between Western and Asian cultures. Asian countries tend to put pix of food on the menus, Western countries tend to describe the food, no pix. In theory I like the picture idea. But in practice, in so many restaurants I've visited all over Asia, the pictures are very often faded or otherwise illegible. Okinawa was the worst. Every noodle shop had a machine outside where you put in money and selected what you wanted and pushed the button to receive a ticket. Every picture was so faded you had no idea if you were ordering noodles or a bowl of dog shit. And I can't read a lick of Japanese. It was always interesting to see what came out of the kitchen. Sometimes you hit the jackpot, sometimes you didn't.

I recommend, but line can get quite long if during regular times like lunch and dinner.

    Menuderia Tijuana

I know, menudo is not for everyone. It's located in Centro just a block off Revolucion. It's pretty good. Not as good as Menuderia Jalisco but solid. Portion could be bigger.

I enjoyed their fried rice and fried shrimp. I'll be back on the future. Probably a few more restaurants I forgot to add to here. I'll try to do a better job with my Tijuana adventures.

Last time I was in they did not have beers, so I had to buy a few from the stores nearby.

The closest to Pho is the Caldo de pollo or Rez at Al Capone next to Chicago, very good comfort meal for 70 pesos. Everyone who went there like that soup. Or you can go for the sopa de rez at the HK taco stand. That beef soup is thick and tasty. If you tip the server a few coins he will give you repeat refills, no charge.
I'll check out Al Capone next visit, not very concerned about portion size as I don't eat a lot.
