Food in Tijuana

I find grilling meats at my table is a pain. It is work and it is slow.

So the people at the table cannot consume food as fast a rate as with pre-cooked buffet.

Since time is limited I don't like the restaurants where you need to cook your own food.

I live next to a Gen Korean BBQ House and I do not go there for the same reasons.

Hmm you must live on microwavable meals then? I didn't find it hard work and the maseros didn't try to rush me out. Tell you what Rambo I will take you there the next time I am in Tijuana and I will grill your meat for you. PM me your number.

Ate at Tabu this afternoon and I'the give the place a pass. Food was okay, but not someplace I'the return. Also the service is kind of slow, but maybe due to short staffing and due to the fact it is in the mall. I've yet to find good find in a mall. I'm enjoying my time back in MX after being in Europe for the past 2 weeks. Vaccine QR codes are a real thing and most places don't allow you to do business without it.

Yeah, was in Zona Rio last week and was pretty surprised when a coffee shop asked me for my proof of Vax. Seems to be a thing in restaurants now.

Got the name now. It's a very good deal, more delish than Brazil BBQ as you grill the meats hot at the table.

A few of my wingmen can eat a whole cow, so we will have to hit it soon.

Ate at Tabu this afternoon and I'the give the place a pass. Food was okay, but not someplace I'the return. I was asked for my vaccination records at Starbucks in Gallerias Hippodromo, but not at restaurants. It is hit or miss and not mandatory. My girlfriend said it is a recommendation from the government, but not mandatory. It was more of an issue in Europe than in Mexico. Glad the USA Is a free country for now.

This is where I eat now if I have time they have their own benches, last week I sat with a beautiful 20 year old. In San Diego she would never be caught eating alone someplace like that. But in that neighborhood the woman aren't all full of themselves. Then I tipped the girl who took the food to my bench, sort of a waiter, 75 cents. She was thrilled. It was nice to see someone happy for my "1 dollar baby. You looked at me in a strip club so you you owe me 1 dollar baby". It was so nice seeing her happy that I started buying more street food just so I could tip the others and see their similar reaction. It was more fun than hk tipping.

Well this might be the last week of that so hopefully you get to enjoy it while you can. They set it up in December. The ex enjoyed it because of the different types of food available.

Tijuana has a pretty cool street food scene going on right now in front of the Guadalupe Church about 2 blocks South of the alley across from the Mujer mall. Looks like about at least 6 taco vendors, a pizza vendor, at least 2 pastry vendors. It is like a mini-swap meet of food vendors. Looks like a food fair. The taco vendor closest to the Church side is pretty good. Had some sort of mushroom tacos there.

Yes, the AYCE Korean BBQ scene is strong where I live on the East Coast so I'm familiar with how it works. I'm thinking that yes, there's a good chance this will be a better deal than even Mr. Pampas or Churrascaria Do Brasil so am looking very forward to checking it out the next time I'm down there, especially with it being a brand new spot.

On Google Maps and Uber the spot comes up under "260 Grill & Bar". The proper name for the place appears to be "260 Grados" which translates to "260 Degrees". I don't know if 260 degrees has any significance other than 250 degrees Celsius does translate to exactly 500 degrees Fahrenheit so maybe it's just that simple. I suspect it's a relatively new spot in Tijuana (there's another location in Ensenada) but I'm not sure.

Yeah, this is the restaurant I've got marked down to check out on my next visit. Have heard mostly rave reviews. It's a new restaurant in the Zona Rio area right?
