So I personally thought it was overrated but it is a popular spot and worth checking out as you may feel different.
If you want steak go to Fonda Argentina across from the Grand Hotel just a few blocks up. La Cayetana was good maybe 4 years ago but the menu changed for the worse IMO. Nothing really shines at that place.

Mr. Pampas is a good all-you-can-eat alternative to Churrascaria Do Brasil, though I personally prefer Churrascaria. 260 Grados is my new favorite all-you-can-eat in Tijuana. It's Korean BBQ as opposed to a Brasilian steakhouse. Pricing is similar to Churrascaria.

A minor sports celebrity I'm acquainted with recommended me La Espadana. He said it was his favorite restaurant in Tijuana. Solid, authentic Mexican restaurant that's rated well online. I liked it.

On my last trip I went to Sabor A Mi, which was recommended to be by a chica I've known for a long time at Adelitas. She recommended I go for the breakfast in particular, which I thought was good. I've noticed though that the orange juice in Tijuana tastes a bit weird though compared to the States (noticed this at a couple of different restaurants). Another popular restaurant.

All of the above are either in Plaza Rio or very, very close by. One thing I like about the more upscale Mexican restaurants is the much more lax dress code compared to the States. I do see that pretty much all Mexican locals dress up to go to those kinds of restaurants but they'll still let you in if you're dressed casually. All they really care about is your money (which is how it should be IMO).

Much better bar. Cocktails are a cut above. I'm an oysters and pulpo (pussy too haha) lover and those simply taste fresher at San Maree.

Get pancakes waffles and omelettes at Chichos.

Inside Plaza Rio Torta Plaza has very good sandwiches.

Mx does not have they poultry processing as USA does so wings are a natural size to the bird and not Super Bowl sized. USA is so used to Dolly Parton breasts and Rosanna Barr sized thighs. Wings are naturally tiny as they don't serve the original purpose. El Pollo Loco will get you what you want though.
My favorite Chicken in Tijuana, I highly recommend and eat it everytime I visit. KFC in tijuana is garbage though, horrible flavor and quality.

There is a taco cart that sets up in front of the OXXO on Constitution and 8th most of the time that has a good chicken taco.

Not super common as you would think. In general Tijuana has pretty low quality chicken meat. I would recommend pork or seafood over chicken tacos. With that said chicken enchiladas are very much available.

The closest to pollo tacos was when I went over to the Mujer Mall and got went to one of the side restaurants that sold BBQ chicken, and they gave me a lot of tortillas, and I asked for a lot of side stuff and made myself pollo tacos. Pollo tacos in Tijuana is kind of like Burritos. They are available in theory and you have to make your own.

Look up Hotel Velario on hotels dot com. It is exceptionally cheap, safe and right near HK. An escort who I built trust with was willing to go there OTC, but got resistance from some escort agencies to go there like Musas.

    Quality and value

On the southwest corner of the intersection just north of the cigar shop near Las Pulgas is my new go to for tacos if I'm in the area. They have a wide variety: lengua, costillas, chicharron, and many others. Nice soft double tortillas and they max out the meat they put in. I'm not a big eater but definitely eat more at a sitting than most and I tapped out after three pretty delicious tacos. At 35 pesos each, I feel like you get 2-3 normal tacos worth of goodness.
