I like San Maree better than Lionfish for seafood. It's located at. Av. Los Olivos 3144, Neidhart, 22044 Tijuana, which is less than a mile and a half away from Plaza Rio.

Get pancakes waffles and omelettes at Chichos.

Inside Plaza Rio Torta Plaza has very good sandwiches.

Just have to be prepared to rip down a 1/2 bird to get to make a meal. In USA birds are broken down by breast, thigh, wing, etc. That's why I never order chicken wings in Mx. Mx does not have they poultry processing as USA does so wings are a natural size to the bird and not Super Bowl sized. USA is so used to Dolly Parton breasts and Rosanna Barr sized thighs. Wings are naturally tiny as they don't serve the original purpose. El Pollo Loco will get you what you want though.
My favorite Chicken in Tijuana, I highly recommend and eat it everytime I visit. KFC in tijuana is garbage though, horrible flavor and quality.

I am not into Red meat so thought of asking seniors as it's very difficult to ask or search with no espaol.
There is a taco cart that sets up in front of the OXXO on Constitution and 8th most of the time that has a good chicken taco.

Not super common as you would think. In general Tijuana has pretty low quality chicken meat. I would recommend pork or seafood over chicken tacos. With that said chicken enchiladas are very much available.

The closest to pollo tacos was when I went over to the Mujer Mall and got went to one of the side restaurants that sold BBQ chicken, and they gave me a lot of tortillas, and I asked for a lot of side stuff and made myself pollo tacos. Pollo tacos in Tijuana is kind of like Burritos. They are available in theory and you have to make your own.

Look up Hotel Velario on hotels dot com. It is exceptionally cheap, safe and right near HK. An escort who I built trust with was willing to go there OTC, but got resistance from some escort agencies to go there like Musas.

    Quality and value

On the southwest corner of the intersection just north of the cigar shop near Las Pulgas is my new go to for tacos if I'm in the area. They have a wide variety: lengua, costillas, chicharron, and many others. Nice soft double tortillas and they max out the meat they put in. I'm not a big eater but definitely eat more at a sitting than most and I tapped out after three pretty delicious tacos. At 35 pesos each, I feel like you get 2-3 normal tacos worth of goodness.

I stopped by there just to check it out and eager to get to HK so didn't stick around but the ambiance is very nice and I do want to eat there in the future.

It didn't get great reviews but I think it's cause their marketing sucks a bit. It could be a little gem to go for a little break. It's on the east side of the river so maybe best to go before going to Zona Norte or maybe after before going home. Or a break from the action.

Farmer's Table and The Park Gastro Park.

I recommend the lobster stand. Delicious food but very expensive. That whole area is geared to gringos staying in New City Towers.

Tacos El Franc on Sanchez Taobada could "possibly" have it. I think their old location was the one that started the craze? I could be wrong on all points so don't quote me on that.
