I visited a fellow mongers apartment he rented in new city with a couple of his bros. It seemed real pimp and very secure, I really liked it alot! I saw a restaurant, store to buy groceries and of course a restaurant. But my only question do you need to know someone who lives there to go to the restaurant to eat?

It will say new city medical. Its a few towers together and go and ask for the food dinning court. It's semi outside I guess you could say there's a ceiling but one wall is open. It's the nicest place I've eaten in Tijuana besides wine country in Ensenada. You can take the bus there from revolucion street if you know how to navigate the buses.

    Security risk.

Yeah, I learned a bit more about the taxi ruta routes the last time I was in Tijuana a couple months ago. Found out how to take the red taxi ruta for 10 pesos (75 cents) from Revolucion down Agua Caliente to the main Caliente casino, which is a nice area where the main soccer stadium and a bunch of nice restaurants / shops are located. So I guess no more Uber / Didi down there for me LOL. You can get pretty much anywhere you want in Tijuana for cheap through those taxi rutas if you know what you're doing.

You must not get out much. There are maybe 100 places in Tijuana to eat that are light years better than the nicest food court.

Across the street is Deja Vu club, Escobar swingers club, and Aqua Caliente Casino. You could probably walk from the border to the New City building complex. Many nice upscale places to eat throughout Tijuana. For sushi try Odayaka or steak can try El Grill. El Grill is like USA Prices and great service. Slacking on reviews, but ton of places I've been throughout the town. Todo Santos has good ceviche and some bars on same street. It just depends how far you want to venture around the city.

I do too but their prices are on par with San Diego. My salad was $15. They also do the percentage tip screen when you pay by credit card. That whole New City complex is the bad seed making its way into Tijuana. Rents are lower than SD but not by much. All those businesses cater to those people.

It is just a classier foodpark. The lobster and steak was pretty expensive, but good. I like the Farmers Table restaurant next to the food park. Something similar, but located on Aqua Caliente Blvd is Telefonica. Another food park is across the street from Siglo XXI bazaar. I recommend Mr. Cajun for their crab boil. It reminds me of home being from the south. It is also located close to Siete de Copas.

The nice soft jazz music inside with comfortable couches made it great to sit inside with view and sounds of the waves.
You should try Encanto or LOS Portales in Rosarito. They usually have live music, good food, and good mixed drinks. Good place to take your favorite chica or best buds, but preferably chica or chicas.

Going during sunset is a must as the views are great from the 3rd floor looking toward Zona Norte. You get the place through a parking ramp off just a half block off Revolution street.

I go there on most of my trips. It is a great view with pretty good beer. Norte actually used to be a strip club way back in the day and I believe some of the infrastructure from the stripper rails they had still hover from the ceiling. Don't know if they still hang there.

As far as breweries I actually prefer Border Psycho, which is a bit closer to Zona Norte right on Revolucion. No great views but I prefer the stronger IPAs they have there. I also like venturing out to Lúdica Cervecería, which is about a mile or so from the main soccer stadium and casino off Agua Calienta. They have pretty good sours there.

    Tijuana Meetup Group

Lin if a Tijuana resident gringo and leads occasional FREE meetup trips in Tijuana if interested in checking one out, the next one is Nov 19th.

He has a lot of insider tips in terms of transportation and other info he is very good about sharing.

While the trips are listed as several hours most people just join for a couple hours of walking around, then have lunch with everyone and then many folks break off and do their own thing. Had some very interesting discussions with a guy from Turkey and Russia in the meetup lunch last Saturday.

If interested here is the link for info. .
