I saw few people being turned away because they had no reservation and but there were still so many tables empty. I don't know why they were doing this. May be to raise the demand or something.

The next day I headed to Restaurant El Rodeo using Uber by paying 80 pesos from Hotel Ticuan. The food was awesome. No matter what entre you order they will bring you eight side dishes. One of their sides is a bone marrow soup. It was so good that I kept telling the waiter muy bien. So he goes to the kitchen and brings me another cup of that soup on the house. This kind of stuff doesn't happen in the States.

The next day I went to Baja BBQ pit. Again paid 80 pesos from Hotel Ticuan. It's not a fancy place but the food is exceptionally great. Their beef ribs were very tasty and yummy. The meat was so tender yet juicy and was falling off the rib bones. They also have this special refreshing lemonade drink with cucumber and chia seeds.

I also tried the Taco stands across HK. They are good as well. Try that Seafood taco stand. He makes great Fish and Shrimp tacos.
Good report and thanks for sharing! I like the taco stand by HK for the shrimp and queso tacos. I'll have to try El Rodeo. I have tried Karnes en su jugo http://karnesensujugotijuana.com/ and their food was delicious. It wasn't too expensive and wasn't busy during the weekday.

    Best pasta in town

I used to hang out at the Bare Elegance strip club and have lunch, dinner at the Proud Birds with a bunch of pilots, viewing the few iconic planes parked in the courtyard at the approach end of LAX runway. These guys would talk and debate issues about flying every waking minute of their lives.

I like Italian food and the so-called Mediterranean cuisine. Pasta at the Proud Bird was just so fresh and tasty, unbelievably better than all hotels' and chain restaurant. You should try it.

Their secret is to melt 2 ozs of butter in every pasta plate. It tastes creamy and delicious, but be careful if you have any cholesterol problem.

The Bare Elegance still has specials dinners, rib eye steaks for $7 on certain nights. Their strippers were some of the most beautiful, nice, clean, and can really put out some very sensuous and sexy moves. Have to come back and check it out.

Get the shrimp & broccoli fettuccini, it's delizioso.

    La Pwerla

For the past couple years La Perla has not been doing much business and changed ownership a few times.

Without high customer volume, it does not have fresh seafood. Fried fish from frozen is about right.

Titos Mariscos on O'Campo corner Calle 6 has a large menu of seafood with fresh fried fish and cheap fish and shrimp tacos. Or you want to walk South to the Cathedral Plaza and try Mariscos Choforo or the few fish taco places next to the church.

Fresh fried fish with just salt / pepper and a squeeze of lime is a delicious way to eat seafood, full of aroma and taste. Mexico City has a few AYCE seafood buffets near La Merced with unlimited fresh cocktails, ceviches, fried fish, shell fish, pasta ect for $10. I like that a lot. Any bro know of any seafood buffet in Tijuana?

The food wasn't memorable and the pizza was just OK. I probably won't return, but plenty of options in Tijuana.

That's actually a really good strategy.

I really enjoyed listening to them while drinking my beer, kinda distracted me from all the putas so that was a first.
No no, I actually enjoy Banda. I enjoy just about everything Mexican. But this band was just so bad that I couldn't figure out what they were playing. They were just playing as loud as they could. No one was singing. They were just pounding on the drums as loud as they could. So I was waiting for a dancing monkey to run out of the kitchen.

Chevelas has a great Banda band most of the time. The chicas love it. I often find my pick in HK, then lead her back to Chevelas to remove her from her shark mode, and we would have a great time. I too experienced awesome music with a 12 person band (lots of brass. Trumpets, etc) between 1 am and 2 a. M last Friday night. It was a real treat and yes it distracted me from the gals too. But it was worth it.

Last Saturday, the fucking band at la Perla fucked up my ears and left a ringing until the following Sunday. It is the worst band in the world. I am unsure what the hell it was playing. It was not even Banda nor Regaton. It sounded like circus music that is normally accompanied by a dancing monkey. On top of that, they served me a fried fish that was clearly frozen when the cook tossed it into the fryer, because the outside was over cooked and the inside was borderline raw and bland. This place is going to hell.

    Want Free Food?

Sign up with the Jalisco Cartel! LOL.

Mexican Cartel 'Cannibal Schools' Force Recruits to Eat Human Flesh.

Sat, February 12,2022, 5:20 PM Yahoo dot com.

A member of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel—his stomach straining against a black sleeveless vest—is crouching over the body of a mutilated foot soldier from a rival crime group. The fallen man's hands are bound and his chest looks like it has been torn open.

Shocking cellphone footage—captured in broad daylight—shows the hitman tearing large bites from the dead man's heart. The cameraman continues to film as the hitman mocks the fallen sicario by pretending to offer him a taste of his no-longer-beating heart. In the background of the twisted scene, another body is partly visible, as is the shadow of someone hacking away at it.

When the video first surfaced in Mexico last month, it quickly went viral. Dr. Robert J. Bunker, a security analyst who studies Mexico's cartels, told The Daily Beast that was exactly the point: It was a public display intended as a threat to the Sinaloa outfit. (The Daily Beast is not linking to the footage due to its graphic and disturbing content.).
