    Smoking Restaurants

Ruta 3 on Revo is on the 2nd floor with balcony overlooking the streets below. People are allowed to smoke on the balcony but not inside the open-air dining area WTF?

I asked the mesera if I could smoke. She [promptly brought out an astray. Smoking really AMPS up the pleasure while drinking and after eating, fucking. It would be too hard to smoke while tryign to penetrate the putas' slippery holes, but a few die-hard smokers probably tried.

A wingman plans to take me to this Cuban cigar shop on Revo and treats me to his favorite brand. Cuban cigars are rolled with old men's spit. Last time I smoked the alleged best brand it smelled like fresh shit, disgusting. Let comrade Fidel smoke those spit-rolled buggers all he wants.

I am very seldom in Tijuana and since I go alone I haven't been to a restaurant in years. I just happened to notice this article in the news that I follow. When I read it again it seems a judge needs to finalize the decision which could take a few months. So maybe the law hasn't gone into affect yet.

It's crazy how so many places go crazy about no smoking yet they are perfectly happy if you smoke a joint. I'm talking more about the US in this matter.

Smoke 'them while you still can.

HK has had that sign on the shirts for a few months. HK needs to comply with any new rules because the city is always looking for a reason to fine them or shut them down.

Is smoking still not allowed indoors in Tijuana? Read a short blurb about 'law' preventing indoor smoking was overturned. But as I have not read nor seen any news story about it not sure if true or not. Was in HK on Aug 17th didn't see anyone smoking inside. Planning on staying overnight next month in Tijuana and would like to find a bar where I can sit and smoke a cigar and drink. Thanks for any recommendations.

Sea food snack specials, Ruta 3 on Revo

It's a nice, clean sports bar on Revo, corner Calle 4, second floor. They have a good menu of all sorts of Mexican dishes 100 to 250 pesos The 2 4 1 snack specials are shrimp and fish tostadas, including a beer for150 or $8, spicy, fresh and tasty, goes down well with $2 beers.

It's a nice, clean, civilized place with good food, compared to the street carts and hole in the wall mariscos places near La Zona, which are grimy and smelly.

Avoid restaurants in the trinket alleys off Santa Cecilia plaza and hotel Nelson. Food are bad and expensive, also $5 beers.

I always visit Tijuana beach when visiting the city and get BBQ shrimp sticks at the beach - 50 pesos for six BBQ'ed shrimp. Tastes great.

Vendors walk along the beach close to the wall selling the sticks between the wall and stage (Platas de Tijuana near Hotel Jatay).

Photo of map of restaurant with 3 fish tacos and small soup for 60 pesos

Two food discoveries this time: 1. I tried "tongue" (lignua) curry from the new 24 x7 cart next to the Fish guy in front of Gloria Bar. It was amazing. Only 35 pesos for tacos with any their offering.

A new bargain: 3 fish tacos with a very small soup for 60 pesos at the restaurant closest to the cathedral in the plaza. Next to the food court. Nice tacos and the soup was a nice bonus.
