Food in Tijuana

Mision 19.

Savage.

Merlina.

Deckman's (Valle de Guadalupe).

Fin. Ca.

Oryx Capital.

Animalon (Valle de Guadalupe).

None are particularly cheap, a couple are downright expensive. All have very good food.

Savage looks great. Will go for sure.

I've eaten at Cabana, LOS Arcos and Lion Fish and liked them in that order. I will try the others, thanks. Any others I should try?

If you like Italian you can't go wrong with Gulisanos. The owner is Argentinian / Sicilian. You get both " Italian " versions wrapped up into one. Go for the Eggplant Parmesan or the Risotto. Tell'm Carmine sent you. Don't' forget the Cannolis.

Cabana is awesome. They have a great menu. My fav are the BBQ Costillas and Pizza Jason Serrano. Lava cake for dessert .

Which is your favorite? Might try a couple. Only one I've heard of is Lion Fish, which was recommended to me by an HK chica, though I wouldn't go there because I don't eat seafood.

That's weird. I am pretty sure Asadero is a chain. I remember seeing it in different parts of town.

Do give Calette a try. Well worth it. Never been to Asadero.

I go to 4/5 star restaurants everyday for lunch. Been doing that for several years. My average for a full meal with tip was around the $25 mark maybe $30 at times. These days my lunches average $35/40 even had some at $50 every now and then. This is for one person mind you. I drink water order an appetizer, main plate, and dessert.

Some places have re arranged portion size and raised prices. I refuse to go back to those places.

Not good times if you are looking for cheap 4/5 star restaurants. Sure you can lowball and do regular food but I am a foodie. I can get regular food anywhere.

The U.S. dollar has devaluated recently 10% against MEX so that doesn't help either.

Uncle Sugar (U.S.) be giving out too much sugar (printed money) leading onto so much inflation and devaluation against his currency.

That's weird. I am pretty sure Asadero is a chain. I remember seeing it in different parts of town.

Do give Calette a try. Well worth it. Never been to Asadero.

Chans Sanchez Taboada is decent. The Bistro in La Cacho has gone downhill IMO. Last two times I went I was very disappointed with the food quality.
