Taxi drivers like to charge 5,000 kyat to go from Emperor to the Grand United hotels (Chinatown and 21st Downtown), both just a few blocks away. I convinced myself that it's really OK. Compared with the other costs, it gets lost in the noise. But still, when you consider that a taxi from that area to the airport is only 10,000, it does seem unreasonable.

My favorite mamasan explained the situation to me. The girls can't negotiate the taxi fare. The guy has to do that. It should be about 2000 but never more than 3000. When I learned that, I tried it. I offered 2000. He asked for 4000. I increased my offer to 3000. He asked again for 4000. I offered 3000 again. He accepted.

Mamasan also explained how the police start checking for Myanmar girls with foreigners at about 10:00 pm. Before that, if you and your girl want to walk those few blocks to the hotel, that should be fine. After that, though, better take a taxi.

This report and your previous about LT expectations and price are just what the doctor ordered! Thanks for taking the time to give some current info on this under-reported destination.

A few weeks ago, I had 4 girls from Emperor (different days). I was told that ST is 80,000 kyat and LT is 100,000 kyat. I took them all for LT and paid each 100,000 kyat, plus tip.

The first one left at 6:00, the second at 6:30, the third at 5:40, and the fourth stayed for the hotel buffet breakfast and left after breakfast. All four stayed at least 8 1/2 hours with me in my room and we had nice morning sessions.

For the third girl, mamasan cautioned me that she sometimes leaves early and I should make sure that she stays until 6:00. I thought 5:40 was close enough.

I don't have any experience with ST at Emperor but I would guess that the reports of 3 or 4 hours are reports on ST dates, not LT.

Just have known there is high- end KTV in Yangon, the one entertainment which the world were written on the signboard is Greek letters.

Price extremely expensive, for KTV rooms, Small size 48000 K per HourMedium size 68000 K per Hour.

If anyone have experience in this place? What about the quality of the girls and the price?

My only one visit in Yangon I came both Emperor and Parkroyal.

Although in Parkroyal the girls in club charge 100 USD per shot but truly have found a stunner there. In emperor you can not find this level of ladies.

Thanks for the info. Looks like a bit more expensive than a beer bar girl in BKK for short time. Almost go-go girl for short time without a bar fine. If I go to Yangon, I guess it will be for the temples and culture. LOL.

As soon as they see you are tired or it's past 1 am, they'll tell they have to leave. It's better to let them go and not allow them to create a scene. Girls no longer stay whole night. This happened in 2015, 2016 and 2017 and I guess this continues.

Thanks for the update. I've been toying with the idea of spending 3-4 nights in Yangon and staying in Chinatown. Besides Emperor, it seems that there used to be (maybe still) Zero Zone and another 2 or 3 "beer garden" types where you can pick girls off a stage. Anyway, I don't do ST except occasionally in the afternoons. I consider 3 to 4 hours short time. I have some questions maybe you can answer:

1. How much for 3-4 hours; 2. I'd think the girls would be very limited in their English abilities, so how do you negotiate? Are English speaking staff available for interpretation or would it best to bring an translator along? (I've only done that once, years ago in BKK's Saphan Kwai.).

I'd say 25+ years.

Girls next door Burmese style, that means not really cute (you do not choose. They just send a therapist to your room).

All I wanted was to relieve some stress, not to look for adventures or cheap girls.

This stay at Sedona was not an exclusion. 60 USD massage package in-room service (they have their spa facilities renovated, and provide only in-room service now). 30 USD tip. Happy end.
