You posted in the Toronto forum so I assumed you were looking at moving to Toronto. Cost of living in Kitchener is significantly less. Girls are roughly the same price though. You could probably find a 1 BR apartment for about $1600. Girls if you're looking for the college / university types maybe $220-$240 for an hour. Kitchener can be a bit slummy however. There are a lot of bad areas.

Hmm. Living cost may be somewhat to a lot higher. Food at 100 per week, as long as you cook everything yourself and never eat out. Internet, cell, hydro, other utilities. All more than that. I don't think you could live in downtown Toronto for much less than 50-60 grand per year, and that would be without owning a vehicle. $4,500 take home would not even come close in my opinion.

I took a guess on the hydro. I don't pay the hydro where I am. But the other costs are roughly what I currently pay. I'm with freedom for my phone and a cable internet reseller. Ya, you can easily pay 100 a month for the phone and 100 for the internet if you go with Rogers.

This wasn't supposed to be his budget. His budget will be based on what he wants his lifestyle to be like. It was supposed to get him to think about how he will budget his life in Toronto if he makes a move.
