Technically, this judgement will probably be stayed for one month, while the Crown decides what to do - whether to contest it and how. So the legal change may be suspended for a bit. But probably we will start to see changes anyway, since the writing is on the wall and why would the police bother enforcing a bunch of redundant laws? Also, we should shortly see this approach being adopted in other jurisdictions, as happened with gay marriages a few years ago (courts quickly adopt the rulings of other provinces' courts).
********** news story ***************
A ruling by the Ontario's Superior Court of Justice said the laws against keeping a common bawdy house, communicating for the purposes of prostitution and living on the avails of the trade "are not in accord with the principles of fundamental justice."
"These laws, individually and together, force prostitutes to choose between their liberty interest and their right to security of the person as protected under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms," Justice Susan Himel wrote her in 131-page decision which struck down those provisions.
"I find that the danger faced by prostitutes greatly outweighs any harm which may be faced by the public."
Dominatrix Terri-Jean Bedford and two other sex-trade workers went to Ontario's Superior Court of Justice to ask the court to rule on the Criminal Code laws relating to prostitution.
In an afternoon press conference Bedford said Tuesday was like emancipation day for sex-trade workers.
She said it is now up to Prime Minister Stephen Harper to deal with the situation.
In her ruling, Himel said Parliament had to "fashion corrective action" to put new laws in place.
"It is my view that in the meantime these unconstitutional provisions should be of no force and effect, particularly given the seriousness of the charter violations," Himel wrote.
"However, I also recognize that a consequence of this decision may be that unlicensed brothels may be operated, and in a way that may not be in the public interest."
The government argued removing the prohibitions without replacing them with new laws would "pose a danger to the public."
The decision is subjected to a 30-day stay and the federal government can seek an extension of that period.
The struck-down provisions deal with adult prostitution. Prostitution laws dealing with those under the age of 18 remain unaffected.
Prostitution is not illegal in Canada, but nearly everything related to it is.
The federal government has argued that prostitution is inherently dangerous, no matter where it is carried out.
It also argued that striking down the laws would make Canada a sex tourism destination.
The Christian Legal Fellowship, which was granted intervenor status, argued that prostitution "offends the conscience of ordinary Canadians."

I had a commendable experience with a lovely lady at the Airport Golden Spa. My experiences have been mostly in Europe, and I have never done any 'travels' in Canada.
My wonderful surprise to find legal body slides! I wasn't sure what to expect so I did a lot of reading in the forums and some other research and made my way to AGS. I had no idea what to expect. The door service was friendly and the cost was as advertised. A room with jacuzzi for one hour for 70. I sat in a comfortable, slightly tacky, lobby and the ladies came in one at a time and introduced themselves. They were indeed the attendants on duty as advertised for the night. I had wanted Lia, but when I saw Olivia, I immediately changed my mind. She was as fit as her pictures and a smile that lit up my pants. I mean lit up the room.
I was shown to the room and the jacuzzi was started up. She came in and we had some small talk, got undressed and started with a massage while the water filled up. She is a true spinner and slid across my body smooth as silk. She gave a great rub on my tight neck, back and leg muscles and then we switched. She seemed to really enjoy being massaged and her skin was soft and smelled amazing. She suggested I try giving her a body slide and showed me where to give my best massage. Needless to say she needed to clean us both off before we got in the jacuzzi.
We got in and enjoyed laying together in the hot bubbling water and she proceeded to give me an amazing face to face massage, until I had no tension left in my muscle(s).
She had personality, conversation ability, beautiful skin and a dazzling smile. I don't think she ever looked at the clock. And wouldn't accept an extra tip, but did say she would be disappointed if I came back and asked for someone else.
I'm no longer as young as I used to be and she made me feel like I was still wanted. I'll have to give her a 10 rating. 70 for the room 150 for the full body slide and jacuzzi for 60 minutes. Well worth it.
Being new to town this was the best first experience I could imagine. Now I am interested in trying an 'Asian' massage. The prices are much cheaper, but I don't know if this includes any service. I have heard that what is legal in Brampton is not in other places. If anyone can provide some information about this I would appreciate it.
Anyone know anything of places like Solar Spa, Legend Spa, or others like this?
Thanks and happy slides to all.

I saw Monique at their DT location a few months ago. My first impression -- Wow, she is a lot heavier than the way the picture portrayed. But soon I started to appreciate her pretty face and sexy Eastern European accent. She is in her early to mid 20s. She has a pierced eye brow and a small tatoo -- both were done tastefully. She provided standard GFE plus CIM. Overall not bad at all.

Took the plunge based on review in www.sp411.com with Cindy @ TAG. Nice girl but dispute on service provided. Description when booking did not patch provided (MSOG). Tried to resolve but they turned nasty. Avoid them - there are better services available.

Agencies are discreet: so ph# and real name is OK.
Check terb dot ca for a good up to date resource on outcall agencies. DON'T use the phone book or craigslist.
Also a good resource is gtagirls.com - all the good agencies use this photographer so you know the pics are legit.

I hope everyone knows that the VERY provocatively dressed hotties in this area are more prone to be TVs or TGs than biological females. Jarvis and Maitland, the area that you described in your posting, is the epicenter for Toronto's alternative streetwalkers. Some of them truly are quite beautiful and could fool many mongers who are not aware and paying attention.

Wow. Scantily dressed and out there! Expensive though at. 1 for a CBJ. Cops patrol all night.

IMHO, not worth the $ though. Toronto get real! Same action in Baltimore or Philadelphia would be between. 2 to. 4.

Pick up a copy of NOW magazine or EYE magazine. They are both free papers available all over the city. Mirage Escorts is another great choice. Check out a web site called the Red Zone. Many Toronto Escorts advertise on their. Cheers and happy mongering to you all.

For better looks, you may want to try the Brass Rail further north on Yonge St. on the east side, just south of Bloor.

Posts: 24Filmore's on Dundas just East of Jarvis
I will be in Toronto on a few weeks, staying at the Grand Hotel and Suites on Dundas. I like this hotel, as it is possible to park in the underground garage and take the elevator up to the floor where my room is located without having to pass through the lobby. Nice when I have a very trashy streetwalker in tow.
There is a sleazy strip joint sort of behind the hotel called Filmore's. Any info on the venue? I have not seen any mention of it in on this forum.
Thanks,
SR
