I was thinking about moving to upstate NY, and pursuing the hobby in Montreal.

But is there really any point in doing this when Montreal providers charge 200-300 dollars an hour?

That's the same as the states.

Anyway, any advice my fellow mongers could give me I would very much appreciate.

Most of the Montreal agencies that I think highly of, Eleganze, Asservisante, etc. Charge 180 Canadian dollars per hour. That used to be $135 USA dollars. Now it is $185 USA dollars.

I rarely find quality USA providers, MSOG, GFE, etc. For less than $350. $450 per hour. Every once in a while I find a great $300 per hour USA provider, but she usually raises her price.

So there is a US / Canada price difference, although it is not as great as it once was, especially now that the airlines charge so many fees on "free" tickets to Montreal. It used to be a top-notch hobby destination, now it is just a place worth checking out occasionally.

It is an outcall escort city, not a club or bar city for mongering.

Geez. Not too lucky, dude. Depending on your entertainement budget, you can arrange an outcall in an airport hotel you reserve before you trip. Otherwise, you'll probably need to take a cab or the 747 transit shuttle to the downtown area. All the serious agencies have suburban rates for the airport / West Island, but ask them if they can manage something on St. Jacques Street in NDG. From Dorval / Pointe-Claire, it is usually a 10-15 minute ride by the highway 20 and you could save a lot of $$$ to extend your experience. In the West Island area itself, the local scene is dead since ZZ Cream is gone, except for an new and obscure agency. The comments I heard is to pass on that one.

Montreal is not really an Asian / Oriental city as Toronto or Vancouver could be, but the major agencies operate together in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto and are known to rotate the girls between these cities. The smaller asian agencies have indeed bad reputation: bait and switch, mechanical, no / very poor English.

I confirm: MAE without the S is ok, but avoid the one with a S.
