Business may be 0 at the moment, but in the future the client may once again be profitable for the provider. Besides this it doesn't hurt anyone to keep old friends And business contacts. Business is about building lifelong economic networks. I agree with you 100%. Having many business relationships over a few decades, I can say it's not unusual for younger people to not think long-term. I have had a lot of business friendships that just flat out ended when the business aspect was over. More mature (not just a function of age) business people seem to understand that are paths might cross again.

If you did cross the borders, were you questioned and passport verified where you've have been in the preceding 14 days? (If so, you must bring a passport book, instead of just a card, to show the history of stamps to prove where you've traveled to.) Were you interrogated more severely than usual about what you're doing specifically in MTL during this time of the year? Were you suggested to self quarantine by both sides of the borders? Were your forehead temperature checked as you would have checked at some airports?
