I agree with you 100%, Europe is way too far to travel, coming from US, about 12+ hours for me, also I would need to transfer from FRA to DUL, which is another 2-3 hours, so I wasted a lot of time on traveling when I go to FKK. All the Asian restaurants in Chinatown and off Saint Catherine are great, I usually go there for all my meals. As for bike rental, its actually pretty expensive, BIXI cost $18 monthly, plus $7 an hour for electric bike, I thought about biking in mount royal but ended up just taking the bus to Mt Royal Chalet, which is a great place for 180 views. All the churches are great to visit, but all those touristy place can be done in 2-3 days. I stopped going to Frankfurt FKK long time ago, I prefer Dusseldorf FKK much better, because you have the local german guys to ensure price stays low and service level stays high. Frankfurt is a tourist trap with ugly chicks and sh*tty service.

I would suggest you look at an events calendar for your time in Montreal. In the summer, there are many festivals. In the autumn-winter-spring period, there is hockey.

Since I like many forms of music, comedy, Formula 1 and the Montreal Canadians, it's pretty easy for me to answer that question. Of course, that doesn't mean you have to actually do any of these things.

Since I live in New England, I usually drive to Montreal rather than fly. I travel to Montreal regularly for visits that include mongering and, like WyattEarp, always mention that I'll be attending either a hockey game (not true) or a Montreal Impact soccer game (usually true, I plan summer visits around their home schedule) as part of a short vacation. If they ask how long I intend to be in Montreal, I always tell the truth and add "I have to be back at my job on Monday. " I've never spent more than 30 seconds at the border entering Canada, usually, the biggest hassle to driving is re-entering the US since the lines are long.
