It's been over a decade since I was last in Montreal but boy the scene has really changed.

Back in the day, the agencies were filled with lovely young French Canadian women who were college girls types. On a recent visit, I had 3 appointments scheduled with 3 different agencies over the course of 3 days. Two of the agencies called to cancel the day of the appointment and substitutes were offered. I'm sure this was a bait and switch use attractive photo and good reviews to get customer's appointment and then switch for someone else.

Two of the 3 whom I wound up seeing were completely covered in tattoos including face and neck. Typically I like tattoos but these we really extreme (like prison style). The 3rd was meh with body odor. None looked anything like their photographs. I would put all three at street walker / biker chick level. I passed on any activities.

Beyond that, all the strip clubs along St Catherine, and even outside the city, were closed and / or have completely changed their rules. The are like US clubs now.

Maybe this was bad luck with a limited sample it (though I suspect not) and overall a big disappointment and no interest to go back.

This is really sad to hear. Sure, last time I was in Montreal was at least 11 years ago now, but to hear that the strip clubs have become Americanized is sad to know. The whole point of Montreal strip clubs was that we could touch the titties. We can't do that anymore? That really sucks. Not that they ever sucked. Pun intended. Montreal is dominated by the agencies, just stick to the reputable ones (XO, VOG, Euphoria) and you should be fine. There are other agencies and indys where you can find gold but no sense in experimenting if you are only visiting for a limited time.
