Aug, Sep and Oct are considered rainy months but that has never stopped my fun including playing golf in Thailand. Nov to Feb is high season and there will be higher prices and competition.

On your food question, the Hyatt is in a shopping complex that has a huge food court in the basement. Good food at inexpensive prices.
