Arrived in Montreal late in the evening. Not wanting to spend a lot of time deciding and having a good experience with Lily from Asservissante I called them again. Thank you for the great reports about Montreal scene. I am sorry to hear about your experience with Maeva. Considering the circumstances, I think you handled the situation in the best possible way.

From my limited exposures to Montreal, I think still it's a better mongering place than Vancouver. At least, the fees are much more reasonable. And more options such as incall, outcall, strip clubs, etc. But I would definitely NOT call Montreal as a mongering destination. That belongs to Thailand, Brazil, Germany, Czech Republic, etc.

I dealt with Celine before also, and agree that her agency is the most professionally run place in Montreal. Just like Carman Fox in Vancouver.

I am quite aware of the politics (having been raised partially in Ontario). But as beautiful as the city is, I felt it to be a bit "cool". Maybe it is the French thing/attitude. Maybe the underlying animosity between the Anglo and Franco cultures. I don't know, but am very interested.

As you will see from my Toronto posts (coming soon), there was much less GFE-type service in Montreal.

I am so surprised to have been "targeted" by this one agency (or individual). I don't know how much this happens to visitors, or locals either. I posted this on MERB, and was assaulted by 17 respondents. It was such an overwhelming response, and so negative, that I'm pretty sure most of them were from the manager of the agency ("Martin", I believe is his name). But I think the moderator of the board has left my post up.

One strange thing...the moderator of the board p.m.'ed me asking from where I was logging in from. For "verification".I don't know what he needed to "verify", but I wasn't about to give out any more personal information.

I found very few "Independents" in Montreal. And the agencies seem totally composed of 18-20 y.o.'s. That weigh "110". Many are older and heavier than what is posted. (a bit more deceptive than other Canadian locations. I have a lot of experience in Vancouver).

I would not consider Montreal a "mongering destination". And I would be very careful if I were to deal with the market there again.

You are right on so many points! Yes, the Merb board is infiltrated with supporters of certain agencies. Every negative or even luke warm review is like throwing fresh meat to pirahna's (spelling?). They immediately attack your review, questioning how anyone could give that girl anything less than a 9. There are a few stand up guys, but it's clear that there are 15-20 "insiders" and more than a few one time posters who are clearly posting for the agencies benefit and not the members benefit.

I believe Martin is with Asservisante, but I could be mistaken. Martin's name is so overused, I am frankly tired of seeing it, whatever agency he is with. Nice reports and good to see there were some positive experiences. I have had 4 visits and the first few were very bad in terms of mongering. I took too many of the initial reviews that I read as good info, and soon figured out what was going on. I have since learned which reviews have some merit and which are purely commercials. Montreal is a beautiful city, though. Despite the mongering set backs, I have definitely enjoyed my visits to the city. Great food, entertaining diversions like the clubs and casino. A lot to like.

I agree that GFE is missing in Montreal, except for a few exceptions. The age issue is also a problem. Young and inexperienced, or older than expected. Another annoyance is the "new girl" not pictured .. can you say bait and switch?

We have had opposite experiences with XXXtase and Asservisante. I had two ok experiences with XXXtase and two bad experiences with Asservisante. I think alot of it depends on who you get, as none of these agencies have shown any consistency. I can see how your XXXtase experience could happen. The agency girls seem very rough around the edges. Closer to strippers and streetwalkers than escorts.

As you mentioned, Celine's seems to be the only agency who understands advance bookings. What a concept .. too bad the other agencies don't follow suit. Can a great time be had in Montreal .. the answer is yes, but be very careful of which review you take seriously. Dead giveaways of the promoters are the Penthouse forum type writeups, too many references to what a great guy so and so is with this agency, 9,9,9 ratings, "treat this girl nice" comments, etc. I always treat the girls nice and with respect, but who say's this except for agency owners or friends of the agency owners?

All is not lost though, as my last two visits have been better, so at least it's going in the right direction. I look forward to your posts on Toronto.
