Does anonymity make ratings given any fairer? People who want to bullshit can hide behind anonymity. I tend to agree that anonymity is better. May oviate a guy's desire to rate the girl higher than a fair score. I don't see that ratings can ever be totally fair. We always need a significant number of ratings and ignore the outliers.

Like we rate Hotels, I think scores should be given on a range of categories, maybe 5 key categories. A single rating can never say it fairly.

For a girl rating:

1st rating: Did the girl match the pictures and specifications of her looks, body, and age.

2nd: Did she willing provide the services offered, including the full time booked.

3rd: What was her skills level (sexual and otherwise).

4th: Did you like her looks and sexiness.

5th: Level of enjoyment for the session (Boring / nightmare through to "In Heaven".

Maybe another bonus category:

6. Her English ability if applicable.

Cusrtomer ratings could be standardised slightly to allow for some customers rate every girl too high, and some rate every girl too low, some customers will give a 10 or a 0, but nothing in between. Perhaps those guys ratings should be dumped.

For rating the customer, obviously girls would come up with the categories that matter. What matters to them could be different from what we think.

Obviously was customer difficult or easy to get on with, difficult hard work or easy to satisfy sexually, clean?, Psycho? (sadistic), etc.

Outliers is always a tricky concept. It always depends on data and domain, one approach can work for one problem and will be totally waste for another one.

What you want to be careful of is the open time frame for submitting reviews and ratings. Both parities to a transaction should not be able to see the other's review until that time frame for submitting reviews has closed in order to avoid affecting the as yet outstanding / unposted review. Then after the time frame for the posting of reviews has past, let the chips fall where they may.

I gave my Smooci girl 5 stars and a very positive. yet accurate review. It was her 1st review, so I am sure if she read it, she would know it was from me. I also told her I had posted a favorable review. I am not sure she could even post a review of me, however, because I doubt she was/is a "Premium" Escort. I don't think any of the 3 independent Manila Smocci girls that I was considering were "Premium" Escorts.

I would like the ability to go back and change a past rating and review. Sometimes I get the same girl twice.

I have booked some girls directly via the agency that I later see on Smooci, and I would like to review them on Smooci despite not having booked them through that platform, but I can understand if you don't want to implement this feature as it might lead to a lot of false reviews.

We will be making some upgrades to the reviews and ratings system at the end of the summer. We plan to let clients see their ratings and possibly allow both clients and companions leave a response to their ratings / comments (only one response).

We are also going to create a reliability system so that every review comment on a companions profile will have a credibility score or indication, probably something as simple as Unknown - Reliable - Very Reliable. Reviews left from new clients or clients with some suspicion on their account will be left as unknown. As clients get more bookings their reviews will be upgraded to reliable, and clients who have 3+ bookings and no complaints or suspicious behavior will have all their ratings listed as very reliable. All ratings and comments will still remain anonymous.

We will try to look at more ways to make the reviews and comments more useful and reliable.

All ratings and comments show up on the site as anonymous, this is to protect the users so that the general public do not know who posted the reveiw / rating.

It's very difficult to make ratings / comment anonymous to the users involved in the booking. We do try to publish the reviews randomly within 24 hour of being posted, and no name and only the month and year are shown, but this doesn't mean the companion won't work it out, especially if she doesn't take a high number of bookings.

Regarding the upcoming improvements to the comments and ratings system, the previous post was to give you an idea of our thoughts and plans, but we are still workshopping the ideas and appreciate the feedback.

Why not let the client view his rating?

This is a valid question which I would also ask, why not tell the client what rating he got from the companion?

This allows:

1) client to realize he did wrong by companion and change behaviour and.

2) makes companion honest and upfront that they no longer want that client booking them in future as its clearly told to client and no longer anonymous.

I don't think anyone would want to make mistake of re-booking after a 1, 2, or even 3 rating, but how are they supposed to know?

I still prefer meeting girls out in the real world by a wide, wide margin, but I will use Smooci again under the right circumstances like a late arrival, to tired to go out, a bar holiday or something similar. It's ok and it works.

Exactly, it's the best way to use Smooci.

Very late at night, while everything is closed, when there's a big raining outside or after an unsuccessful night out. There are many circumstances that this service is convenient and is worth the inflated price if you know how to chose a girl wisely (I wouldn't past 4000 baht though).

I mostly go with independents because I guess the ratings are more reliable. I do plan to pay up front but the girls never asked.

I never took an independant, I took only girls working with the so called agencies.

I don't think reports would be more reliable for independents over agencies girls.

The most reliable reports are the ones that give details about the girls and that are lenghty.

The ones that are not reliable are the ones that consist in a few words that are basically saying that the girl is good or awesome, these ones are certainly the result of customers giving the girl a good rating and good review because she actually asked them to do so in the end of the session.

Good point, I have not thought about it, haha. Most ads says 10 minutes but I have seen 1 ad say 5 minute. I would avoid 5 minutes and higher than average cancellation fee.

I am wondering how do they enforce it if someone decide not to make payment within 10 minutes or not to pay cancellation fee at all?

Don't worry, you'll not receive a bad rating for not paying in the first 10 minutes (if the girl didn't request it), and I think one shouldn't pay upfront if not requested.

They didn't ask you to pay upfront mean that they felt at ease with you, and it's the way to do it.

Put them at ease once they arrive, try to make them comfortable and try to get whatever you want in a soft way (some of these girls are not hardened pros, and are probably intimidated once in the room). Requesting them to do this or that won't bring us anywhere far, and maybe the result would be the opposite of our request.

This is also my experience that there never ever been an issue regarding the payment, I just give them the money once they are putting their shoes on and they never even talked about the money.

I will add that all the girls I've met through Smooci were very nice girls even though their age was almost never correct and some of the pics were not close to the shape of the girl at the time she knocked on my door.

If a client complains that he had to pay for a booking or pay a cancellation fee and he felt this was wrong we will do our best to investigate, and if we agree with him we will warn or ban the companion.

The same goes if a companion complains they gave service and didn't receive payment, or turned up and was cancelled without receiving any cancellation fee.

We have to try judge this case by case, looking at the history and other feedback on the client / companion and even then we are limited as to what we can do other than warning / banning companions and clients.

We try to be as fair as we can and there are a lot of scenarios where a client shouldn't have to pay a cancellation fee, and we also see a lot of situations where a companion isn't paid when we feel she should have been.

Smooci in my opinion are a breath of fresh air in the escort booking service. Its a difficult balancing act trying to be fair to both clients and escorts and they do as well as anybody could reasonably expect.

I feel they continue to strive to improve on helping the girls avoid nut job psychos and clients to avoid girls who give poor service or misrepresent their appearance and or age.

I really don't understand the naysayers who want to continuously criticize.

It's very hard for us to build a system which will work perfectly for everyone, but we try to be open about how things work and why we make our decisions.

Should an escort be allowed to rate a client?

We believe yes. We think it's fair that the companions should be allowed rate clients and share that with other companions. Some may disagree and we respect their opinion even if that means they do not want to use Smooci, but while we are trying to improve the experience for clients in many ways, we are also trying to improve the experience for the companions.

Being an esocrt is a very dangerous profession, and we feel that losing some clients because they don't want to be rated or judged is outweighed by the possibility that the rating system can help point out potential ban clients. We believe it's important for us to try decrease potential dangers and risks where/when we can, even if only a little bit at a time.

The rating system is fairly open, but the indication given is 1 - very bad experience, 2 - bad experience, 3 - OK experience, 4 - good experience, 5 - very good experience.

While this is a simle way of judging an experience, it's fairly universal with many online businesses of different complexities using it. If you make things too complicated and ask users to rate different elements of an experience you will get nowhere near the same number of responses than you would asking them to rate the expereince as a whole.

Client average ratings are not shown to the escorts until the client has 3 ratings (although a client with two 1 ratings in his first two bookings is flagged to our attention, so we can read the comments left but the companion to see if there is any action needed. These comments are not shared with other companions).

So after a client has received his 3rd rating it is then shown to companions when receiving a booking request. No individual ratings or info about past bookings are given, only an average rating out of 5.

The average client rating stands at around 4.3, which is pretty close to the average companion rating. A client shouldn't have any problems getting a booking with a rating of 3, but we have seen some clients with ratings under 2 who have been rejected.
