Will have to admit that this is the one thread that could convince me to make a return to Sosua after not going there since 2012. That and the beach. Sosua was the last beach I've seen in 5 years.

I love Medellin, but I miss being near a body of water. Of course, if there was no legal P4P in Sosua I wouldn't even consider going there, which is why I don't give a fuck about any of the beaches here in the US.

I have never been to Sosua but have been kicking the idea around for the past few years now. We arrive in the Sue on a Thursday. Thursday night is usually my favorite because I called ladies night. I noticed there was a lot more traffic than normal for Thursday. We hit the tourist hotel later on that night. It was Wednesday so we didn't expect a big crowd. A must say the casino had some very nice looking chicas working in there. If I was really wanting some action it would be the place to be. But at this stage of the game I won't just jump up for Pros that hang around expensive tourist Hotels.

I eventually made a deal for 1500 pesos. The starting price was 3000. The session was worth 1500.

The next day I called Uber for the ride to The Sue. 587 pesos from the heart of PP to Europa.

I notice on Airbn the two bedroom at Europa was $62. I normally play 80 a night. When I arrived at the hotel they told me I didn't have a reservation. I showed her my email were I was charged. I don't mind paying 40 a night but I've already been charged.

Then a German lady came down and told me I've rented with her and not the hotel. On the third floor of Europa she had a two Bedroom built just like the two bedroom downstairs. Of course this was $10 a night cheaper. I guess the owners of the hotel sold the top half to this couple. The front desk really wasn't happy we book through Airbnb.

Same policy with Guest applied when entering the hotel. Only one problem is when you book through the hotel someone cleaned your room every day.

For the first time I took a Dominican airline and flew straight into Cuba. The price was about 307 one way. I paid $20 for a visa to enter the country. The flight was good even though it was about two hours late. I expect that from a Dominican airline.

I arrived in Cuba and thus my vacation begin.

In the airport the newbie I was supposed to meet ran into me while getting our luggage. His flight was an hour ahead of me however he said they were in the air flying around waiting to come down. He had booked his own room and had his own accommodations. A friend of his who is Cuban stayed there recently and recommended him an apartment. He was supposed to come with five of his friends who canceled out at the last minute.

Alex in David pick us up. And took me to my apartment. The newbie Rock walked into my apartment and then was token to his. He was so pissed off at his accommodations he had Alex bring him back to me. His room was like a prison cell. No windows and he had to walk his company in front of a family living room every time they entered. He was told all of his girls had to be signed in with ID. He was located across the street from a park with many wondering and nosy eyes. All he could say was I'm just glad my homey's didn't come because they would have been complaining the whole vacation about the accommodations. He canceled his room and moved in with me. I had a two bedroom apartment.

He kind of felt sorry for the homeowner who was expecting five Americans for 5 days. On the outside the place was pretty nice. I guess they are just used to travelers coming through and needing a place to stay. Mongers are professional traveler's however we need certain accommodations. Privacy is one of them.

I just got back from a wonderful trip to Cuba and you also have to figure in the other side of the coin. Tourist are basically untouchable in Cuba. No changing the prices or playing silly games in the room. Just tell them to leave or you will the call the cops and they will leave with an apology. How can she explain that she is not a prostitute and she is in your room and you are a tourist, instantly going to jail.

If a tout is harrasing you just point him out and it's jail for a few weeks. No place I've ever been Is safer than Cuba. Have a problem with a cabbie over charging you his license is taken. Someone is even looking at you crazy just raise your hand to the police and they cart him off with an ass whooping.

I completely agree. It's beyond safe and comfortable in Cuba. The police don't worry me or my crew one bit.

I even read one of your posts in which you mentioned that you did not want to hang out in front of the Uni, as the students might feel very conscious of the police presence not to speak of their classmates. It is that environment that I thought does not quite suit me. Now, perhaps a trip with you, with you holding my hand, might be a different thing altogether.

I have never seen anywhere in the Cuba forum about the cops harassing a tourist or trying to shake them down. When GM had his problem with his items being stolen the cops did a very thorough investigation.

Indeed Cuba is definitely a safe place for tourists. The police are very professional. And will break their backs to help you with any problems you may have with locals. It's just sometimes they have their hairs up their asses with locals at night. It scares the girls. If you know a little Spanish it will be very helpful because you don't have to be in the main area of concentration. Gogo walks the malecon. More concentration of normal chicas easy access less harassment from the cops. He has more patience than me.
