Yes I forgot about that three month rule. I was only a victim of it once. Had about 1000 pesos on the Sim card and lost it by default.

I went through a lot of phases with phones. I lost my old DR Sim card. Since December they have been requiring passports or identification to issue new Sim cards. I'm not comfortable with leaving my passport information in a Claro store. I've witnessed them taking previous people's passport information and using it to assign other people Sim cards off that information.

Now I just pay for an international plan Through my normal carrier. My T-Mobile here works better than it does in the US.

What is going on with the curfews?

We stayed out last night to about 1130. Many people are taking advantage of the fact that you don't have to be in the house at 10. Some stores we're still open and doing Business well after 10.

That's what I like about Boca chica it's simplicity. You don't have the right all over the city looking for a place to stay. Everything is Centralize and easy to move around in a car or on foot. You can be unfamiliar with the area but still manage to move about.

Just stop using AIRBNB, at least in Colombia. Foreigners don't pay taxes for lodging; also avoid airbnb fees. Try anything else; for example, you can use booking.com or rental agents or rent directly from owners. Airbnb IMHO is a waste of money!

So it is not just me. In all these years I have used airbnb 3 times (Aruba, Philippines, Boca Chica when afterwards GM said I could have just showed up at the place and paid less). 2 days ago I made another reservation for Santo Domingo next week in BQ Ribs old building. Apartment is $42/ day for 3 days but then there is a $20 service fee and a $20 cleaning fee. That is the reason I never use them. Maybe if I was a nasty ass person or throwing a party, but when I leave a place they only have to wash the sheets and do a general clean. Otherwise I leave it the same as I found it. But I got to oay what amounts to an additional day for cleaning and service? This will probably be my last time.

I remember Mr E posting how expensive Cartagena was for rooms. I didn't see a two bedroom apartment under $110 through Airbnb. Then Airbnb adds $92 dollars in taxes and fees. I talk to over with one of my traveling road dogs and we both agreed to hell with Cartagena. I'll use that ticket later on a trip to the DR or something else. Now it's a tossup between mild temperature Medellin. Or cooler than average Bogota. My partner who has been with me to Medellin before is pushing toward Bogot.

My man Parkinson told me I would like Bogot better however my other partner who I recently met in Boca Chica told me he hated Bogot. He said Cartagena is the way to go. I'm contemplating my next move.

I made it to Boca chica earlier this month. Don't have too much to talk about because it rained all four of the five days I was there. And even though I had a rain plan; The overall Activity level was down.

On another note I did get a chance to meet DC Gogo. He's like the older and wiser version of myself. It was an honor to kick it with briefly him. It's funny how we hung around the same people yet we've never met.
