Well I have been pretty quiet as of late due to being just too busy with other things. I have had the opportunity to drive around the strip a couple of times recently and I have been highly dissappointed. I have not really seen anyone worth stopping to talk to or any more than that. Woman stabs man -- hides under boat

Charges are pending against a woman who is accused of stabbing a man.

The attack occurred last Sunday in the 5200 block of Lakeshore Road where the 45 year-old victim had gone to a nearby residence for help. Constable Julie Rattee says the victim was stabbed in the abdomen and suffered lacerations to a finger.

She says police managed to find the suspect hiding under a boat.

"The female suspect was located with the assistance of the police dog in the yard of a nearby residence under an overturned boat. While under the boat, she was attempting to dye her hair with a bottle of hair dye she had in her possession. She also managed to change her clothes in an attempt to alter her appearance and elude police."

Rattee says the victim had met the suspect in the downtown core an hour before the attack and that he was driving her down Lakeshore when the suspect pulled out a knife in an attempt to steal the man's truck.

"A struggle ensued and the female stabbed the male in the abdomen."

Rattee says the 25-year-old suspect has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and robbery. She is known to police and remains in custody.

The victim is expected to make a full recovery.

Police are not commenting whether the accused is a sex trade worker and the victim is a john, but add that they "have their suspicions."



The woman's name is Stephanie McCulloch. Fortunately, I have never encountered her. The local TV station termed the event as "an encounter with a prostitute." The local daily newspaper did not mention prostitution.
