Monterrey is the most "american" of Mexican cities. It isn't very interesting for culture and sightseeing but it's great for the chicas: my best experience was with the discretas (semi pros) of el tio awrelys: https://twitter.com/tioawrelys As for food it's famous for grilled meat, but not much else.

Oaxaca and Tuxtla Gutierrez (Chiapas) are the best places to get to know indigenous culture (s) and food. The second one especially is the gateway to San Cristobal de las Casas and Palenque, the cradle of Mayan culture. I don't think these are good places for mongering, but I don't have first hand experience, since I've visited both with chicas I brought with me from Ciudad de Mexico.
Thank you for your recommendations and opinions!

Thus, my question: If you had 3-4 days to travel, from my list, which would you chose? Culture, food, and chicas are important.

    Hey Tomjackin,

You and I have crossed paths on other forums and have spoken indirectly to each other in the past, so now I'm speaking directly to you with the hope that I'll be able to help you out.

What do Reynosa, Matamoros, Nuevo Laredo, and Monterrey have in common? Skip them! The border area of Mexico and Texas is generally unsafe, there's nothing "touristy" to see, the local bigwigs have cracked down on casas and working girls, and a lot of the good poontang has moved to other parts of Mexico.

You can read my reports about Guadalajara to see what great times I had in that location. But since you've already been there, I'm guessing you're not itching to go back soon.

Read my very recent report about Merida. For three to four days of traveling, you can explore Merida in half a day, then spend the rest of your days visiting Mayan ruins. If that sounds appealing to you, let me know and I will hook you up with the company that ran my tours to Uxmal, Kabah, and Chichen Itza. Of course, you can monger in the evening after you're back at your hotel and freshened up.

Consider Valladolid, which is in between Merida and Cancun. I was so impressed with the food and culture in Merida that I'd like to spend a little more time in the Yucatan Peninsula in the future. So probably what I would do is fly into Cancun, take a taxi to Valladolid, spend 2 or 3 days there, then catch a taxi back to Cancun, enjoy the beaches, then fly back home. Not sure what the mongering is like in Valladolid, but I did notice some chicas on Mileroticos listing their city as Valladolid.

It's not on your list, but what about San Miguel de Allende? I've heard it's a beautiful town and I know it's a huge expatriate place for Americans. Any retirement spot in Mexico with a lot of Americans is bound to have chicas just itching to get a piece of that Social Security retirement check.

Those are my immediate thoughts. Don't really know too much about the other cities and towns you've listed.
