Feel sad to read your scam horror story. There is separate section reporting scams but good that you have reported a standard African scam which will help other people. The moral of the story: NEVER EVER ENTER A DARK ROOM WHERE GIRL IS HIDING BEHIND DOOR. IF YOU DO NOT SEE ANYONE JUST RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.

One more note on this very sad event, I realize that if I did not fall prey to this kind of scams, it was maybe more by luck than design, even if I am quite suspicious, on the verge of paranoid at times (I love that whatsapp allows you to delete recent messages and I use it and abuse of this feature). Plus, for a first encounter, I always sign up for one shot and therefore I found myself with less cash. The only bad stories I had were bait and switch or woman that looked more stocky and better built than me (I am not an athlete but you got the point). I am not wiser but luckier. Lucky that I am mainly into Asians and AMPS which is as WYSIWYG as can be. Lucky to find this forum with posts from people who despite getting scammed, generously shared their stories to avoid for the rest of us getting tapped in this shitty situation. I can't imagine the number of people who will avoid being robbed thanks to the latest story. Lucky to have people share piece of wisdom like this one by Joe. Lucky to have punters test and vet trustworthy WG. Lucky because somehow I love to RTFF, it's so entertaining and informative. I said they operate mainly from Deira (based on the news clips which I regularly post when I come across them). These gangs are would live in areas where they get cheap goods and services and possibly African stores and Spas. I would be surprised if I ever heard that happening in Burj Khalifa or at One JBR. Now you're right to highlight that this can happen in most areas of Dubai thanks for the details about your own experience. All of us should exert some caution and with some common sense and remembering not to ever ever ever get into a room if you don't see your host, I'd would think that most of the risk is eliminated.

This scam happened to me twice during the years. One time from a "datingapp" and one time from MR. Luckily I managed to flee without any damage both times. Don't fool yourself that it only happens in Deira since my encounters were in The Marina and JLT.

My impression is that these gangs operate mainly in Deira, so that could be an indicator as there are not that many Russian providers there. And where did you get the dets? Was it on MR?

The interesting thing is that is the first time that I see them using the profile of a Russian. Usually it was more exotic nationalities such as Bahamas or Sweden. So we may expect these gangs to perform their trick by advertising Asian or even maybe Arabic WG..

I would like to think of myself as a seasoned punter and have some experience with chocolate ladies, but this is really a wake up call for all of us to be even more cautious.

These are the rules that I try to live by or less loosely but I will strictly respect from now on:

1-Carry the bare minimum money, no wallet or credit card or watch, rings, piece of jewelry etc.

2- Leave your main phone in your car.

3- Call when you are in the vicinity.

4- As Joe said never get inside a a dark room if you don't see the woman.

5- More recently I ask for a verification video (for instance I ask to say the date and my name). This has become very common nowadays. The more punters to do that, the more girls will comply.

6- Get comfortable clothes and shoes that would allow you to run if need be.

If any provider of these steps is failed, I pass on. There's plenty of fish to catch in spas, bars or in the malls.

Incidentally, when the provider is African, I feel more relaxed as I know that the issue will be more about photoshopped pics, a dingy apartment or bad service.

To each their own but I've said this before and I'll say it again, I don't really get why people go the MR option in Dubai where there is so much pussy that you can see in the flesh and then sample. Other than the main rule that you listed, if one is to go the MR route, then they should stick to calling the lady to your own hotel room or place as the safest option. And if you're going to be silly and take the chance of going to her place, then for fucks sake, at least leave your credit cards, cash and other valuables at home as basic risk management.

I don't have the time or inclining to hit the bar scene and plenty of punters have SO's they need to manage around as well, so incall with selections made online is worth the premium and, indeed, potential risks. While I don't have a SO to dance around, I just hate the whole process of the bar scene in my old age. Different strokes, and all that.

I tried to untie me a couple of times, and shouted as loud as I could, but then one got really pissed, took my belt, put it around my neck and tried to strangle me. I couldn't breath at all, but was lucky that the others grabbed her and they pulled the belt out of my neck. My heart was beating so hard I thought I was going to have a heart attack. Also the feeling of not knowing what they will do with you is so, so bad I don't have words to describe. To make a (very) long story short, they took all my cards and forced me to give my PIN. They also took my phone so they received the authentication sms there. Two of them put wigs and sunglasses on and left with my cards and the other three stayed with me. They took pictures of my cards and one of these was buying things online. The other two went to several ATMS and withdraw all they could. In total it was around 25,000 USD they stole from me. Once all was done (I stayed there naked and tied to a chair around 4 hours), one of the three put a wig and sunglasses on and left. The other two put wigs and glasses on, untied me (I was kind of calm by then), and asked me to go to the shower. I didn't want to fight or anything. I just wanted to get the hell out of there. They put me in the shower, started the water, and left. As soon as I herd the door close, I got out of the shower, dried up and dressed as fast as I could and I left. I had blood and marks on my face from the initial fight when I tried to escape, and from when they attacked me with the belt. Oh god, that was the scariest story I heard in a while. I am really sorry that it happened to you. This is one of the reasons why I don't do incalls. Only if was sure or it was in a good hotel at least.
