The USA government supports Colombian in the fight against human trafficking, and this is the USA definition of it https://www.dhs.gov/blue-campaign/wh...an-trafficking.
Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act.
Now you can go on your legal semantic rant about whether paying a woman for sex is the same as coercion, but I can tell you USA LE thinks it is. In fact, the sting involving billionaire Robert Kraft was not because the woman complained. No, she liked Kraft, hugged him when she saw him, was well tipped by him, and refused to testify against him. No, this was total government bullshit, a completely victimless crime. The fucking cops faked a bomb scare and put a camera in the Asian massage parlor Kraft went to. And even though the woman was obviously not trafficked, LE tried to say she was. The case was dropped on a technicality but the people who were not billionaires have not been so lucky.
And in the world, the USA is the supposed moral standard whether you like it or not. So if USA LE has done something, it is acceptable for Colombian LE to do likewise.
And the law is not as clear cut as this guy thinks, https://www.medellinlawyer.com/prost...n-in-colombia/.
Limitations: The Court established limitations on the practice of prostitution, including:
Exploitation: Pimping, human trafficking, and other forms of exploitation are illegal.
Minors: Prostitution involving minors is strictly prohibited and considered a serious crime.
Public order: Activities that disrupt public order, such as solicitation in certain areas, can be sanctioned.
If you solicit someone under 18, even if she shows you a fake ID, you are fucked. If you host a party where you introduce women to your friends, that can be pimping / trafficking. You may have gotten away with this before but the government is enforcing these rules. Having "sex parties" like this guy did is asking for trouble.
So right now, the mayors in Cartagena and Medellin have been cracking down mostly on street walkers. All I am saying is use some fucking common sense and quit going to the areas they are targeting. How hard is that? For now, play in areas that are not or at least not yet targets (casas, strip clubs, escorts, sugar daddy sites) and stay off the streets. If you really love street walkers, head to Bogota as the government is not cracking down on them now.
If you are coming to Colombia to fuck hookers, you are a sex tourist and when the government says they are targeting sex tourists, that does not means they are targeting "other bad guys". That means they are targeting you.

The current administration is opposed to the purchase of X (at a substantial premium I might add) by Nippon Steel. That is socialism at work for you. They would rather let the company fail than sell it an organization that knows how to make steel. A current ally of the (Dis) United States of America that they are relying on them to do some of the heavy lifting in defending the Asian Pacific region.
Here is some Alpha for all of you: MSTR.

Atleast in the capitalist countries you have more of a Middle class and there are more people who can own a car and not just government workers.

USA does not default. It makes the money printer go burr and inflates their way out of trouble. Inflation is theft. The greatest heist in the history of mankind.
