It's all kind of funny really, this strange obsession with your time in Medellin, your business opportunity that fell through, and your finances. I personally admire those who take opportunities and chances and live life.

For this statement to make any sense there must not be any such thing as bad business decisions. But there are as the original version of JJBee's story proves. He sells all he has, puts together two suitcases and moves to Medellin to rent a room from a webcam model he met as a customer (voyeur, "peeping tom" whatever lolol). And the obsessions are his, one with writing these long posts trying to put his best spin on the webcam debacle. Problem is I sat and talked with him on a number of occasions and he was all set to make his fortune in the webcam business. Now he says he knew it was a "long shot. " he claims he wasn't cheated but he was again and again on Facebook lamenting to his audience about how he never got paid for his work. He calls the fact that he was screwed a "fair trade" for living in Medellin for a year, but he could have done the same without the webcam venture. He could have just as easily rented a room someplace else for a year, or seen the writing on the wall early. There's no correlation, no "trade" took place.

He's also long been obsessed with Pollo Negro. Yes Pollo Negro talks things up some for entertainment purposes. JJBee regularly takes shots at him and Pollo hits back, and admittedly too often.

He's also obsessed with being the all wise one here. All is well as long as others are deferring to his wisdom. But if he gets challenged, called out on his condescending attitude or passive-aggressive snipes he starts slinging mud. It's devolved to that with a number of posters here. Just look up his wars with see Jack Sparrow for one. In my case I challenged him on some points regarding negotiations and dealing with problem girls in the room, and many here found my perspective more reasonable. In response he blasts confidential information regarding an unrelated, bad experience of mine. Discussion of his business ventures only followed this, so you are missing the chronology here.

Anyway I don't see much if any new ground being covered here. If I see some new material worth responding to I'll weigh in again. Keep on obsessing folks. LOL I haven't posted here in three weeks and have a business to run. Medellin in May, Yuuuppppiiii.

Truth is, a year straight living in Medellin is an invaluable experience.

Returning and enjoying the city every month is also enviable.
